Just not for me honestly. I still enjoyed the read but couldn’t get over the blah storyline. Cutest cover but what’s between didn’t work for me.

Also, more know your boo info coming at you in this review: unless explicitly asked for, a toothbrush is not an acceptable gift for your significant other unless you want them to be your next ex.

Thank you to the author, publisher and @NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I really enjoyed this one, mostly because I found Charley so relatable. Some of my favorite scenes are at the beginning when she's dealing with her crunchy ex boyfriend. I loved her dynamic with her family too. The romance was just ok, I didn't feel the chemistry as much as I hoped. Definitely a great beach read!

Unfortunately this was a DNF for me- I just couldn't get into it. Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read.

It is a fun, light flirty story. A bit boring for my liking. The reality TV show touch was pretty fun.

A cute read! Good for those of you that like fast-paced books. I love the reality tv aspect in the book as well!

Unfortunately, I thought this book was pretty boring. Some of the writing was off for me and I felt like it lacked something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. It might work for someone else, but it wasn’t a hit for me.

This genuinely surprised me, it was so riveting and witty. It had a good supportive family relationship, a well wormed female friendship, and the romance was well built up and believable.

While I thought this would be a great read alike for Beth O'leary, but it ultimately fell fully flat. Not a necessary purchase

I was immediately drawn to this book by the bright, vibrant cover. The ‘recommended for fans of Portia MacIntosh and Mhairi MacFarlane’ tag sealed the deal as they are two of my favourite authors.

I liked this book, it was fun to read and parts were funny. However, I struggled to feel any romantic chemistry. I enjoy a bubbling romance that builds up over the course of chapters (or the whole book).

I liked the author’s writing style and would read future work.

Someone Else's Honeymoon follows Charley's journey as she unravels what her life is like without her boyfriend of 10 years after she finds out that he's cheating on her. The story is filled with transformations and a grand vacation that allows Charley to spend time away from everything she has ever known.

The book honestly has a great premise. From the get-go, you can expect a light and quick read that will never feel heavy at any point. I got exactly that and I enjoyed that about this book. However, it feels like that's all there is to it: a quick, mindless read. You shouldn't take this too seriously because there isn't a lot of depth to the story and characters.

I feel like the story focused too much on unnecessary things, so we never got to see the interactions between the love interests. It was really hard to convince myself that Charley and Ed were the "end game" because... there's just no chemistry and not enough story there.

If this book was fleshed out more to showcase how Charley grew after the relationship that held her back, maybe it would have worked better. But it's a romance and the romance part just doesn't do it for me.

This book wasn’t exactly what I was expecting from the synopsis, but it was a cute and quick read. The book had some unique storylines (how often does a main character inherit a sex shop) that helped make the story engaging. While it wasn’t my favorite book from Portia MacIntosh, it was fun and I would recommend it.

Very fast paced and great character development. Loved Charley and loved the whole concept. One of the better romcom books i’ve picked up! Thanks for the ARC! Will look out for more by this author.

This was one of those cute stories that you can just read through in one sitting.

It starts off with what can only be described as a horrible Christmas day for our main character, and we move, in quite a bit of detail, through the stages of her recovery from her break up with her long term boyfriend.

She takes a trip to Antigua with her parents, and then the fun starts. We meet our love interest, and they spend an idyllic holiday exploring and having adventures. I loved how the scenery and activities were written - it had me longing for a sunny holiday!

I felt that the relationship was possibly a but rushed, but after the usual confusing mishap that we see in these rom-com books, there is a lovely ending, and I just enjoyed my day reading this book.

Super fun and flirty! Was a quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading it. Charlie was an incredible lead to follow and her growth through the book was compelling and lovely.

3.75 stars Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the E-Arc. This book was super cute and such a easy read. I loved the MC Charley how she owned herself and was bold enough to make changes in her life instead of clinging to the past

This was a refreshing new start romance, and I really had fun reading about Charley getting her groove back post break up.
