This was refreshing and would be a perfect summer holiday read! I thought it was really light and fluffy and easy to read.

Charlotte grows a lot as a character throughout - you can see the impact her past relationship had on her and she slowly comes out of her shell. Her connection with Ed is believable and I rooted for them.

It's slightly predicable but I'm okay with that as the plot and pacing is really good.

I really enjoyed this but it did leave me wanting more - maybe it could have been a bit longer? Regardless, I'll be recommending this and it shows so much potential for this author.

Someone Else’s Honeymoon is a cute, perfect-for-the-beach read. It’s predictable in terms of we KNOW Charley and Ed are going to end up together, and there’s probably going to be a couple of obstacles before they finally realise they’re meant to be together. The jealous PA and ensuing near misses in communication were a little unoriginal, and there are a few comments throughout the book that felt a little…dated.

Having said that, there were enough funny moments to keep me entertained, and I liked the underlying notion of the importance of self-care when you’re in a bit of a mental funk.

Much like those cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies that we (well, I!) watch because they’re cosy and comforting, this didn’t set my world on fire by any means but it was heartwarming and cute and perfect for an afternoon of easy reading.

Charlotte, our protagonist, is a strong woman, though miserable after breaking up a ten year long relationship, eventually realizes her worth and takes control of her life. She agrees to tag along with her parents on their annual trip to Antigua.
I enjoyed the chemistry between Charly and Ed, a divorce lawyer she meets at the resort. He took part in a reality show, inspired by Married At First Sight but is on his honeymoon alone. The Antigua setting adds to the relaxing atmosphere and sets the mood of the book.
Charly's friend, Mads is a force of nature and one I would also like on my side. I love her grab-life-by-the-horns attitude and she is a charming addition to the plot, apart from her lovely parents. I would love to know more about Mad's life though.

This was a romance unlike anything I had ever read in the past. It was more of a coming of age story for Charley as she navigated her first real breakup. The story line allowed her a realistic timeframe to recover, only introducing Ed - her new love interest - at just under the half way mark. Ed was on his honeymoon alone after being left at the alter by his bride, yet may have just found the true love of his life.

Overall, an pleasant read with several unique elements however the slow pace impacted my ability to truly connect with the story!

This book was the book form of summer vacation! I stayed up reading until 2am reading this book. It was very fast paced and easy to get into which made it a great option for when you just want a light read. If you're planning a trip this summer or want to remember the summer in the winter than give this book a read.

I ended up rating this book 2.5 stars/5 but rounded it up to 3/5. I like the outline of the story and it has a good concept behind it. However, I found it quite hard to be motivated to finish the book only because some parts moved really slow and felt they were being dragged on. It had some great humor but I just didn't really feel connected to the characters in the book and thats really important for me.

Someone Else’s Honeymoon started out with a hilarious bang, and had me thinking, “you go, girl!”  And to think that Christmas could be brought crashing down by a biodegradable toothbrush was 100% the stuff of gingerbread nightmares.
When Charley’s unexpected Christmas gift is her freedom, we go along for the ride as she goes through the necessary stages of grieving a lost relationship, and start her healing process. 
I absolutely loved Charley’s uncensored relationships with her friends and families, and Phoebe had me nodding along while reading about Charley’s reintegration into the world as a single gal.
No spoilers here, but Charley DOES meet somebody, and after a brief whirlwind vacation romance, is left gutted when she lets him slip through her fingers and can’t contact him because her phone got ruined and with it, his contact info.
It was a delight to follow Charley as she found her feet, so to speak.  It was a sparkling example/reminder that it's can still be fun to be a woman, even when things are less than perfect.  Phoebe's writing was so natural and fluent that I finished Someone Else's Honeymoon in two days.  10 out of 10 from me!

I get that this story wasn’t just about the romance, but also about Charlie’s journey to finding herself finally. However, not introducing the love interest until over 40% of the book (on a 230ish page read no less), just made it impossible to connect with their love story or feel the chemistry. I really loved the synopsis, however, it just wasn’t executed in a way that spoke to me.

Meet cute

This is my first book reading from this author and it was just what I needed at the moment. I was in a slump and I needed a cute Insta love. This book was fast paced when they met.. it was a slow start but I liked it because you get to see the FMC go through some self discovery.

This was a frustrating read. I loved the synopsis on NetGalley: Charley gets dumped on Christmas day and has to return to her parents house to live. They offer to add her to their upcoming holiday to Antigua, and she meets Ed, who was dumped at the alter in the equivalent of Married At First Sight.

At 230 pages I assumed it would be a quick, funny, summer rom-com. Unfortunately, we don't meet Ed until 42% into the book. I understand where the author was going with the reinvention of Charley, but there was a lot of excessive waffle that didn't move the story along in any way. We get pages, and pages, and pages of descriptions about bra fittings (34C, which she repeats for an entire chapter), a new hairstyle, positions of furniture in her old bedroom, a shopping trip, and where Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge are. I also think I must have chosen the wrong career, because apparently dental hygienists are absolutely LOADED! Even accounting for the 'she never paid rent' excuse, In the space of a few weeks, Charley is able to spend a fortune on new clothes, an expensive new hairstyle, a new car (bought without finance), a new flat rental and sundry items such as bedding and linens, and numerous hotel purchases on holiday that she describes as eye-wateringly expensive.

When we finally met Ed, I had to suspend disbelief that a divorce lawyer who prides himself on his fastidious investigations would get himself on a show like MAFS, without having ever watched more than a trailer. While I liked Ed, and I enjoyed watching their building romance, it felt rushed at times, and he left so soon that I struggled to become invested in their relationship. As such, I really wish we'd got to Antigua much earlier in the story, in order to properly develop their romance (especially considering the title and premise of the story). I think it would have made a much more satisfying read. I also guessed how the inevitable conflict had played out. The epilogue was cute though. This was the romance equivalent of ordering steak and being served a basic burger instead (sorry Josh!) - both will satisfy your appetite momentarily, but the latter (and this) will leave you hungry for more.

Charley is dumped by her longtime boyfriend on Christmas Day and is forced to move back in with her parents. Her parents offer to bring her along on their trip to Antigua to cheer her up. During the trip she meets Ed, who is there on his honeymoon alone after a failed attempt on the TV show Married Before We Met.

This book is definitely a light and easy read. I enjoyed the take on Married at First Sight as I love anything reality TV. I will say I wish the beginning had moved a little faster. I wish we would have met Ed earlier in the story so that we could see their relationship develop a little more.

Such a cute book. It has such a nice story to it involving a lot of aspects to this current way of life like online dating, reality shows, etc which was a nice touch. Loved the overall story of Charley and Ed

The blurb of this book sounded cute but unfortunately it missed the mark for me. The beginning started off interesting but fell flat when the love interest was introduced. I felt zero chemistry between the two main characters which made it hard for me to stay interested in their relationship. There was also a lot of explaining things in full detail that didn’t seem necessary to the plot.

This book was actually really fun. It had a good supportive family relationship, a well wormed female friendship, and the romance was well built up and believable.

It is Christmas, and Charley and Josh have been together for over 10 years. Josh is super into sustainability and gets Charley an eco toothbrush as a gift. Charley gets upset with a gift she feels is quite thoughtless and they argue. They end up agreeing to break up and she also finds out he has been cheating on her. She goes to live with her parents while she figures her life out. Her parents take her on a vacation where she meets Ed. Ed is supposed to be on his honeymoon but is there on his own, and they get to know each other.

This book didn't do anything new or exciting but it was fun and the perfect light summer read.

Absolutely loved this book. If I'd had time I would happily have read it in one sitting! I've never read any of this author before but shall be looking out for more now.

After a few weeks of self-discovery, Charley is invited to accompany her parents on their annual vacation to Antigua, where she meets Ed. All alone on his honeymoon after being left at the alter, Ed is charming, and his relationship with Charley is sweet and natural! When they are suddenly separated before each traveling back to England, there is a question of whether this was just a vacation romance, or if there is a possibility of more.

This was a quick and easy read, with very likable characters and a relaxing storyline. The book was full of British slang, which I found delightfully fun and not too hard to understand! I was surprised their wasn’t a mention of a honeymoon until almost half way through the book, but the plot was fast paced and held my attention easily. This is a fade to black/clean romance, and the whole read was just fun!

This was cute enough to keep me reading, but it definitely felt rushed at times and lacked some depth. The premise was fun and there were some super cute moments with the MC's. It's a quick and easy read if that's what you're looking for.
