This is a lovely little children's book, which is suitable for babies and toddlers. It is a bright and colourful book, with nice illustrations showing animal characters learning different colours. There are peep through holes in the book which encourage sensory development. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

With the help of cute little mice characters, this book introduces babies into a world of colours with bright and bold images to capture little minds.

This simple book for toddlers tells a story of mice painting a house different colours. The colourful illustrations are mainly made of primary colours and the large, simple text is easy to read and predict. This would be a great book to introduce colours and even the concepts of holding a book and listening to reading to very young children. I would recommend this book to parents of children in the infant to preschool range. Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book!

I was granted eARC access to Colors by Mike Henson through the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts are my own and my review is honest.

A pair of mice paint a house several different colors and then step back to admire their messy, colorful masterpiece. It's cute, it's short, and it looks like a lot of fun to present to a 1-3 year old child. This book is extremely short and will definitely not lose the interest of most kids before it ends.

This Little Mouse Lessons book belongs in a book bundle. These are a necessity in all childrens rooms to help them start learning as they grow.

In this entry in the series, the mice are painting a house, but cannot decide what color to paint it. A great color recognition book for toddlers.

My nearly 4 year old has additional needs and couldn't be less interested in books if he tried but because of how short this book was, and how brightly coloured it was I managed to engage his attention enough for him to listen.
Great read for younger readers too.

This book provides a cute addition to the titles out there that introduce children to colors. It has peep holes which I could not use in an e galley. They look to make this title even more fun. Watch the painting. How colorful. Learn some color names along the way. Enjoy this title with a baby or toddler.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Quarto-Frances Lincoln Children’s Books for this title. All opinions are my own.

My 4-year-old is a bit old for learning shapes and colours but she loves die cut picture books so she wanted to check this book out. We have already read Mike Henson's other books, and she loved them too (especially Broccoli's Big Day).

It's not easy to review a peep-through book without holding it in your hand, but you get the idea. The characters are cute, and there are not too much text.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group / Frances Lincoln Children's Book for an Advance Review Copy.

Too young-pitched for this to be a book, it's a tool for getting tiny hands used to the feel of holding books. And it's a perfectly pleasant one, as some mice start to paint their house but get in an awful mess as to what colour it'll be. Throughout, small peep-holes through the board pages give you clues as to what colour might be next, but is that the yellow of the house, or the sun, or something else? One of four in a small range that appears on this evidence to be a successful one.
