This is a fabulously funny conclusion to what is a genuinely hilarious and hugely popular series. Aidan and his friends are on the run after the events of Pants On Fire and head for the Cloud Forests of the Amazon, to the abandoned ruins of the Cambrio Laboratories to seek answers to their increasing problems. There's peril, there's laughter, there's Granny on a mission to find gin. All of the characters are here for one last time to entertain and enthrall. Read it! (But 'remember to fill in your reading diary. It counts towards your coursework'.)

Fire Power, the third and final book in the Fire Boy series, is a blast! In his latest offering, J. M. Joseph takes his unlikely superhero Aidan on an adventure spanning two continents. With bad press and fake news threatening his safety and his reputation, it’s up to Fire Boy to clear his name AND save the world. All in a days work, obviously!

Fire Power is a funny and unpredictable read. I enjoyed it every bit as much as the previous two books - it’s full of heart, likeable characters and dastardly villains. It’s a relatively easy read so would work to encourage some more reluctant readers. It would be a great addition to any Year 5 and 6 bookshelf. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.
