I really enjoyed listening to this book. This was a short sweet get to the point type of book. She has not had an easy life. Teen pregnancy- two failed marriages-- yet she came back with message to the world that no matter how or what happens you can do it. She is also a martial arts belt holder and small business owner.

An empowering but also heavy listen, so definitely check the trigger warnings before listening to this book. However, I really enjoyed it and it has given me hope and light.

Don't Fight Mad is a moving and very personal memoir/self-help book that details the author's many life struggles that she shaped into opportunities. I'm sure that the writing of this book was an inspirational process, and much inspiration can be gained from listening to it as well.

This is an inspiring memoir. We hear the authors story from getting pregnant at 18 and dropping out of college to her making a success of herself.

There are heavy Christian undertones in the entire book. As someone who is not a Christian, I found it difficult to relate to, but I do enjoy stories about faith helping others through difficult times.

I loved that this was short and sweet. It didn’t drag on, there weren’t unnecessary stories, it stayed on topic and the audio was read by the author (which I love!)

An empowering and inspirational story which I listened to in a single sitting. As a woman who also took up martial arts following trauma, I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook.

First off, thank you to NetGalley for the arc. Short story (audiobook 3 1/2 hours) so I listened to this in one sitting.

This lady is very empowering! I appreciate her being brave and sharing her story.

Abuse, divorce and many other challenges Cindy Villanueva fought back and fought back proud. This book was filled with tons of honesty and passion. If you are down and you’re trying to figure out how to get past and keep moving read/ listen to this.

I haven't given this a 3 star rating because its bad, I just think it's subjective because different people will have their own things they take away from this.
I will say though it's a positive book that is genuinely worth a read about triumph over adversity finding your true joy and being happy.
