When you know its written by Lisa Regan you know it’s a good book before you even read the blurb. This thriller grabbed my attention and held on tightly throughout, and while it is book fifteen in the Josie Quinn series, you can read it perfectly well as a standalone. There are mentions of previous occurrences but it doesn’t the anything away from the story. That said, I would recommend you read the series in order if only for better context and backstory. Then you’ll have read fourteen other brilliant books too. Bonus!

I really like Josie and Noah, and was happy to see they’d finally made it to their honeymoon. A bit of an extreme return to normal for them though, but they didn’t even miss a beat; they just got straight on with things. The story was exciting to read, fast paced, and compelling. This one of those books that makes you forget household chores, eating, and even sleeping. I was up way too late but it was totally worth it. The story built the tension steadily and although I thought I had it all worked out, I was impressed by the twists and quite happy to have been wrong.

Overall, I think this is the best book that I have read in the Josie Quinn series, and it has prompted me to go back to book one . I’m happy to recommend this to any reader of quality thrillers, and I have given Local Girl Missing, by Lisa Regan, five stars

Another great crime drama by Lisa Regan does not disappoint. As soon as I think I know what's going to happen, I turn the page and once again, there's a surprise I did not see coming. This story involves a swanky hotel bar, some shady characters, deception, fear and police work.

Josie and Noah are driving home from their honeymoon and its very foggy. Its so hard for them to see. They hear some screams and then they see a figure running through the fog in front of their car, a girl with long brown hair. They can no longer see her. She is gone in the fog. They park on the shoulder of the road. They try to find the girl and there is forest all around them.
Josie hears faint sounds of music, then they hear a car engine. Someone had pulled over on the road. She then slips on a makeup compact. Its mirror was cracked, chunks of the ivory makeup spilled on the grass. They start walking to the sound of the music and see a girl laying on her back. A man has his hands wrapped around her throat. He keeps asking her "Where is it? Where the hell is it?
He then gets up on his feet and runs away in the forest. Josie tries to run after him and he gets to a dead end, a cliff. Josie tries to talk to him and he jumps off the cliff into a creek, called Roaring Creek which is a very wide creek and then vanishes. What was he looking for and where is the girl with the long brown hair that ran away and the girl laying on her back on the ground died.

This thriller is action packed. The action started out straight from the beginning to the very end. I did not want to put it down. I thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. I just loved the twists and turns! It has everything that I love in a thriller. This is a fast paced read. There are lots of secrets. I just love this series and love Josie, Noah and their dog named Trout. Trout is treated very well.
This series can be read as a standalone. I read the first seven books of this series then jumped into this one.
This is the 15th book in this series. So I have 8 more to read. I have a lot of great reading ahead of me.

I want to thank Netgalley and Bookouture, for the copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another stellar Josie Quinn book. Returning from their honeymoon, Josie and Noah witness a murder. Hunting for the killer, and also trying to find a witness who may be in danger, the story moves well, and has a tense, taunt vibe.

Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC!

Another excellent book by this author in the Detective Josie Quinn series. On return from their holiday Josie and her husband discover the body of a girl being throttled by a man and her friend Alison is seen running away from the scene. This is the start of the investigation into the death of Dina and keeps the reader enthralled until the last pages.

This is the fifteenth book in the series featuring Detective Josie Quinn and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Josie and her detective partner Noah are returning from their honeymoon when they encounter a young teenage girl who runs across their path and disappears into the forest. They decide to follow the girl and come across a man strangling another young woman. The man runs off and Jamie and Noah discover that the girl is dead. On investigating they find that the two girls were best friends and seem to have got involved in a crime. Josie struggles to find the missing girl and the killer stand soon realises that the hotel where both girls worked is connected. But the cctv is missing and when another employee is found dead they realise that they have a tough case on their hands with some dangerous criminals involved. This was a book I couldn’t put down with such a good plot and so many twists and turns. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Another great addition to this series. This is book 15 and it still had me hooked. There are so many great characters and I love that we get to know a little bit about them with each book. The hunt for the killer in this book is made more stressful because they are also hunting for a witness/additional victim who is at risk. I had no idea who the bad guy was.

I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Lisa Regan does it again with Josie Quinn. Joise Quinn is a bad ass small town cop who can solve local crimes like no other and she did not disappoint in the instalment of the series.

No, as a media...person, I have not been commissioned to cover this book or any other in the series. I'm just reading 'em because I like them a whole lot. I don't love the part where I have to come up with a new and inventive way to review them every time, but life is full of challenges. Anyway, I continue to enjoy this series.

What? Say something new? Uh, 'kay. I like, for example, that I know a lot about these characters, but not too much.. There's a good balance between their personal lives and the mystery.

This book really catches the reader's attention from page one when Josie witnesses a murder on a quiet mountain road.. The killer escapes in the fog and Josie soon realises that the murdered girl was not alone and immediately organises a search for the victim's missing friend. This was an original and exciting story, just as I have come to expect from Lisa Regan. Her books just demand that you read them in one sitting and I am always happy to oblige, can't wait for the next one

Lisa Regan’s Books are always a welcome diversion.
Having read most of the Josie Quinn books and there are now 15 of them it always amazes me that Lisa can come up with a completely different plot that will keep you involved to the end. Lots of twist that will have you thinking multiple times in a different direction. Lisa’s style of writing makes these books easy to read.
