A book that teaches teens and young adults how to be more confident in themselves in a world that might not think so kindly of them.

A book that empowers and uplifts. I will be adding it to my bookshelf and taking inspiration to deliver some interventions with teens that this would empower and inspire.

This book discusses many themes regarding confidence, bullying and self esteem.

I think I probably wasn’t the right target market for this book. Although the synopsis states this is for teens, I still requested as I’m in university and still struggle with the main issues discussed in the book, however, this definitely read too young for me.

Regardless of that, I think this was very well written and well researched. The author works through a lot of different things that I found super helpful.

I wouldn’t recommend reading if you’re studying above the age of 16 but for anyone that age or younger, I think this would be an incredibly useful book and should be carried in school libraries

‘Stand Your Ground’ by Mia Reyes is a great book in the self-help genre. It is well-researched, empathetically written and is full of practical advices to deal with bullying and boost self-esteem.

‘Stand Your Ground’ busts several myths related to bullying and puts record straight. The book has a nice flow to it and is a lovely motivational read for all.

My only recommendation is graphics and formatting could have been better, otherwise it’s a gem!
