I absolutely loved book 1 and was so pleased when NetGalley accepted me for this one. These are great YA books that are so chilling. Loved it

The Queen of scream is back!

Another cracking book by Ms Fielding. I love Clovis, Eve and Tom. Their characters are just fantastic and pull you right into their adventures!

Personally I have an interest in all things Ripper so this book was great. I really enjoyed it and even as a 33 year old adult I still got scared at some parts...

Do you read middle grade books?
I discovered the first book by @realyfielding The House in the Woods which sees 3 young people embark on their first ghost hunting experience which thrusts them into a paranormal world they never knew existed. With the help and guidance of uncle Rufus they explore how dangerous the paranormal can be.

Things quickly accelerate with the encounter of Jack the Ripper and the realisation that the dead can come back with a vengeance. Jack was so wellmportrayed in this and loved how the team rallied in this particularly scary second book. Equally we see Tom come into his own in this book and discovering his valued place on the team.

Such a fantastic series especially for middle grade aged readers who are fans of the paranormal. My step into this as a kid was the Point Horror books and it's great to see so many more options now for kids to read on this topic. Enjoy the journey 😁 and dance the dance of ghosts 👻👻👻👻👻👻

Really enjoyed a differnt take on Jack the Ripper being a ghost. Was a easy read and good for a ya fiction and was really creepy in parts.

I'm well over the target age but I'm loving this series. It's well plotted and there's the right level of horror and creepiness.
Another well plotted story that starts with a BANG and kept me turning pages.
The young MC are well plotted and I love their relationship and the realistic description of how they live.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

I love all things paranormal and I am also fascinated by the mysterious character that was Jack the Ripper, so add two of my favourite topics together and I couldn’t resist picking up a copy of this book!

I thought that the story was excellent, it was really well written and it had a nice, natural flow to the story. There was the right amount of detail in there to make sure you understood but also didn’t get bogged down. I think it has been written perfectly for the target age range and I loved it as an adult too.

I loved the characters in the book and how they developed as the book progresses and their personalities came out. It was all very well done and an addictive read

I had read the previous book in the series but there is enough in this one for it to be read as a stand-alone and there are no real spoilers should you want to go back and read the first (which is also very enjoyable) after finishing this one

It is 5 stars from me for this one, very highly recommended and a fab read!

Another super spooky story from Most Haunted's Yvette Fielding. This time the story features a spin on events in Whitechapel and the infamous Jack the Ripper. Although these books are aimed at younger readers there is still much to be enjoyed by us older ones too. Perfect reading for longer, Autumnal evenings in the run up to Halloween.

I’m sure, like so many others, when you see that Yvette Fielding has written a fictional book about ghost hunting, you want to read it. What’s annoying to me is I didn’t realise this was book 2 in The Ghost Hunter Chronicles! But have no fear (well, maybe a little when you read them. Lol). I’ll be reading book 1, The House in the Woods.

This book is perfect for the upcoming spooky season. It’s definitely a YA but still enjoyable for oldies like me.
The tale of Jack the Ripper is very well known & so adding a new side to the infamous murderer is a brilliant touch. Now add dealing with his evil spirit into the mix, and you have one terrifying tale. Prepare yourself for plenty of frights as well as delights.
The main characters are fantastic. They have their own unique personalities that complement each other, and their friendship is beautiful. I also love Uncle Rufus. He is quirky, fun, a little eccentric, and an amazing parental figure.
And you can’t write a review without mentioning Boris and Mr Pig. Hilarious. I love them both, farts and all. Lol

One final note, I LOVE how it ended. I cannot wait for book 3.

Thank you, Andersen Press and NetGalley, for the eArc in return for an honest review.

Let me just preface this by saying I LOVE Yvette Fielding. Did this sway my opinion of this book? I genuinely don’t think so, it just made me desperately want to read it. This was such a spooky little comfort read. Most of the YA books I read are Point Horror, and this definitely gave off a Point Horror Vibe. The characters were likeable and the baddies were bad! I hadn’t read the previous book (yet, going back to read it immediately) but this didn’t affect the reading too much. There were some mentions of the past but nothing that was too vital to the story and being able to enjoy it. This is just another talent Yvette Fielding has under her belt and I can’t wait to read more.

The Ripper of Whitechapel is the second book in the Ghost Hunter Chronicles and I was so excited to get the chance to read and review this!
I really enjoyed the first book in the series and was excited to read about more spooky adventures with Eve, Tom, Clovis, Uncle Rufus and of course, Boris the dog.
The book is fast paced and the characters are truly wonderful .. and the ghosts, well, they are pretty scary! I was really interested to see how the book handled the Jack the Ripper story and it was a really original and interesting take on it that also wasn’t too gruesome for younger readers.
Is it spooky? Yes.
Is it funny? Also yes!
Do I want the next one in the series to be handed to me right now to read? YES!
This is a perfect read for anyone who likes spooks, paranormal goings on and farting dogs!

Huge thanks to Net Galley and Andersen Press for letting me join in the ghost hunt early! I will also be posting my review on Goodreads, Twitter and Amazon when published.

This is the second book in the Ghost Hunter Chronicles from Yvette Fielding. I absolutely loved the first installment, The House In The Woods so I was thrilled to receive this ARC and it didn't disappoint!

As someone interested in the paranormal and a big fan of Yvette and the Most Haunted team I am always intrigued as to her ideas in her books. I find Uncle Rufus' experiments fascinating 😂

This is a great read full of great characters and an interesting take on Jack the Ripper. I flew threw this book in 2 days, would definitely recommend.
