A simple romance set in Italy. A very easy read for a holiday. The author’s understanding of the complex emotions of an abandoned child intertwined with a steamy love story makes compelling reading.

I really wanted to love this book but for me I didn't find it very engaging, The characters never really seemed to come to life and they didn't gel properly. There was too many unfinished storylines throughout and although I enjoyed the romance aspect and the fact it was set in Italy I found the characters rather lacking.

Nurse Kendra lives a jet-set life. Who needs a home and family when they only let you down? So, when meeting gorgeous Massimo in Positano results in one unforgettable night, Kendra has no regrets – until he turns out to be her new boss! Continuing their fling is risky, but also irresistible… Under the red-hot Mediterranean sun, will Kendra realise it’s not her fling that’s at risk, but her ‘no strings attached’ relationship rule?
A well-crafted 'will they, won't they?' romance that sizzles throughout. Kendra had a childhood being passed from pillar to post and has commitment issues because of that. She is not averse to a fling, as long as there are no expectations on either side. Finding that her one-night stand with a gorgeous Italian man cannot easily be 'put in the box' because he turns out to be her boss at her latest nursing position to fund her travels is disconcerting, to say the least, and when circumstances conspire so that she has to accept renting accommodation at Massimo's grandmother's she finds herself being drawn further and further into his orbit...and not minding at all...

A really good read with some well-crafted main and peripheral characters. Read it! You won't be disappointed.

Kendra travels the world, using her nursing and teaching skills to pay her way, never forming emotional attachments because her childhood taught her that leads to heartbreak. Massimo is a charismatic and dedicated doctor, but he's never fitted within his large extrovert family and only feels himself with his grandmother.

The two meet, and the passion simmers, but events get in the way until they see each other again and give in to their desires, not their emotions. Finding themselves working together is unexpected and leads to a chance for happiness.

I like the two main characters and the grandmother and the young boy. They are believable, and the couple's relationship reflects contemporary behaviour. Both have commitment issues, and it's heartwarming to see these overcome through proximity, passion and patience.

A lovely sensual romance set in a beautifully described Italian coastal location.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

A great romance in beautiful Italy. We get the beautiful views, trees and beaches as well as life in side a hospital. The medical work is covered in a good amount of depth, and the romance that grows between Kendra and Massimo is lovely - quite gentle and surrounded by some interesting characters that make you want to invest in all their happiness.

I have enjoyed many of this author's books, but I didn't enjoy this one.

In real life, I totally support the right of women to enjoy sex as a guilt-free pleasure in the same way men have always done. In my Mills and Boon romances? well, there I prefer emotion to be a key ingredient. Maybe not the first time - there I am prepared to accept overwhelming lust - as long as it shows up that this couple is going on an emotional journey as well.

Kendra is clearly a woman who has emotion-free sex as she travels on her journey of self-discovery and her determination not to let emotion interfere with her life meant I found her rather cold. For most of the book, she held off from Massimo, and for the life of me, I couldn't understand why.

Despite understanding her wound, I could not engage with Kendra at all and she came across as thoroughly insensitive and selfish, despite her inner thoughts and apparent concern for Pietro.

As for Massimo, he never came to life for me. I wasn't really any wiser about his motivations by the end of the book than I was at the beginning. All I knew was he was good at sex despite being seen as rather staid and boring.

I received a complimentary ARC in return for an honest review. .
