This truly was like reading the town gossip. It was so fun to be immersed in the story that felt like a TV show playing out in my head. I loved the author's writing style and look forward to reading more from her!

Loved this book. A brilliant psychological intriguing thriller that had a fantastic story with real life and lots of suspense and mystery. Didn’t want to leave this book down , brilliant characters that came to life as you read through the book with lots of twists and turns and a brilliant ending. So easily to read but still kept you guessing. Really recommend this book.

I could not put this book down! Picture the most beautiful and "perfect" neighborhood then add in a missing child, secrets, town gossip. an affair....and another missing child. This book will keep you on your toes and keep you up late into the night reading. So good.

The perfect novel if you are new to the thriller genre. Easy reading, interesting, intriguing and plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing who kidnapped Billy and Amy Pat and the reasons behind them.

This book was everything I wanted it to be. It had me turned pages without even realizing. It was so good!

The book centers around a neighborhood called Oak Hill, a nice quiet area in New Jersey. Then people start to go missing with no explanation. An actress/model named Allison, five year old Billy, and another child all disappear. I liked how the story is told mainly through the point of views of Allison, Rachel (Billy's mom), and Cassidy (Billy's teenage babysitter). It got a little slow towards the end but the ending was quick and climactic. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy.

A huge apologies to the publishers. I was meant to post yesterday, unfortunately time ran away with me yesterday. So my post is a day late.

This book is a great domestic thriller. I buddy read this with Claire and we both loved it. When I first started it, I had real desperate housewives and big little lies. the setting matches exactly what this novel is intended; a rich suburban neighbourhood, where every house holds it own secrets.
Just before starting this book, I was getting ready to hit a book slump. This book quickly pulled me out of it. I found it hard to put it down and ended up running ahead in our buddy read
The story was told from differing viewpoints. Allison; who is a famous model and has left her famous rockstar husband. Cassidy; the babysitter who was late arriving on the day the child went missing. Lindsey; a resident on the street and Sarah; who has her own story.
There were a lot of characters in this story; which could put some readers off
I did guess the culprit but I did enjoy the journey up to the reveal by
This book is highly recommended and I look forward to reading more by the author
However; the one thing that I cannot get my head around with this novel. Who lets a five year old walk home on their own?????

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Legend Press for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was kind of a fast read for me since I didn't wanna stop reading it so it took a couple of hours to finish it all together.
In the beginning it felt like reading something that could have been an episode of the old tv show Desperate Housewives with all the gossip and mysteries.

All together is this book told from 4 POV each one relevant to the story itself and good written without making me confused.
For me it wasn't easy to figure out who the abductor was in the beginning since I came up with 7 different peoples but after a while only one of them made sense.

The book left me with a few questions but if I don't get answers to them it doesn't matter but I hope for a second book about Allison after that ending.

If you want to read a good thriller that takes place in an suburban place where everything seems to be perfect like Westeria Lane in Desperate Housewives then this one could really be a good fit for you.

I had never read this author so I thank NetGalley for allowing me to read this book. It’s a fast-read thriller that’s easy to get into. Fans of Big Little Lies will enjoy it because it has certain similarities in terms of the premises and the style of characters. A lot of domestic drama and some unexpected plot twist that makes this reading something you don’t want to leave.

Highly recommend this one! This was my first book to read by this author but definitely won't be my last. The characters will stay with you long after you finish the book and you will find yourself wishing the story would never end.

This book was a quick read, but some elements of the plot were just too unbelievable. The thought that a parent would let a 5 year old walk home from school alone was unfathomable and irked me the entire story. I did read the book quickly and kept me entertained, but I wish the boy had been a more believable age.

This was a solid commercial thriller - good for fans of Desperate Housewives or Big Little Lies. I enjoyed the Stepford Wives esque 'perfect small town' and the use of multiple voices were well deployed. The denoument was well plotted throughout, so although it wasn't a ''shocker' of ending, it was satisfying and felt 'right.' The pace sagged a little towards the middle and I did initially get tangled up with the various voices, but over all a quick and enjoyable read.

This book wasn't too bad. It was really slow to start I wasn't expecting the ending. But it was an okay thriller. I'm going to give 3.5 ⭐

A child missing, a rockstar family and a neighbourhood wanting to know all your business.

This novel is high on tropes, but does deviate in to some strong descriptive writing at times.

I would recommend this to anyone who is new to thrillers, this would give you a nice start.

So its a tad slow....

But the ending twist is good enough to make the book worth it. The actual ending is a little sinister and makes it feel like there's something not finished. but overall it was a good read.

Liz Alterman’s The Perfect Neighborhood was the perfect twist and turn thriller. It keeps you on the edge of your seat while making you realize nothing is as perfect as it seems. It’s told in alternating perspectives of the 4 main female characters. It’s easy to follow and is so intriguing, it’s hard to put down.

Thanks to Netgalley and Legend Press for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Perfect Neighborhood brings up the question of even in a wealthy neighborhood how safe are you and your children? How well do you know your neighbors? A child goes missing and everyone is blaming everyone else. But then it gets worse - another child disappears! This book will keep you guessing until the very end!

An interesting read, some turn I was not expecting. I felt it had a slow start but speed up near the third quarter.
