The setting is laid out perfectly and there's plenty of the typical domestic drama. I wasn't able to predict how this would end but after I finished the book I felt a little bit like I should have been able to figure it out.

I didn’t get to read this book as it was archived before I downloaded it. I am new to NetGalley and now understand the process! I will make sure to read all my advanced reader copies from now on!

This book was compared to Big Little Lies, and I could definitely see the resemblance with the multiple POVs and upper middle class suburban setting. It revolves around different people in the same neighborhood with plenty of gossip and secrets throughout.

It was pretty slow-paced and there were times when I found my mind wandering and had to reread certain passages. There were twists and turns throughout though and an ending that I wasn't able to predict beforehand. Overall, a decent book of domestic suspense that I was recommend to any Liane Moriarity fan.

This was a great book. I loved every paragraph, every sentence and every word of this masterpiece! I read it in 12 hours, which is a lot for me to do! It had everything and more laid out in the novel! I sure hope she writes more! I am totally hooked!

Oak Hill is a very desirable neighbourhood. Nice houses, nice people, safe place to raise a family- even if it is a place where folk like to know each others business. When Allison Langley - local movie star, leaves Chris her pop star husband in the middle of the night gossip spreads quickly. However before that morsel is exhausted something bigger comes along. Five year old Billy goes missing on his walk home from school. His mother says he's a sensible child well able to do this on his own & his child minder, Cassidy, will be waiting. On the day Billy disappears she is late- although would that have made much difference? There is a huge search for Billy & pointing fingers at Rachel- Billy's Mom & Cassidy. When another child being cared for by Cassidy goes missing the neighbourhood seems far from perfect.

This story was told from various points of view which was confusing at times. I still can't get my head round anyone letting a five year old walk home from school on his own - maybe if the author had added a couple of years to his age it wouldn't have distracted me so much! I felt sorry for poor Cassidy though. For me this was a 3.5 read rounded up to 4 stars. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.

Think you know your neighbors? Think again.

The book starts off with Actress Allison Langley leaves her former rockstar husband in the middle of the night, her sudden departure becomes the talk of neighborhood that is until 5 year old Teddy goes missing. We end up with two missing children during the book. The story is told in different points of view from Allison, Rachel and Cassidy. Allison and Rachel are the parents of the two children who went missing and Cassidy is the babysitter for both of the children. Who could take these two kids and is it someone close to the neighborhood?

I came in to this book blind and heard great things from her previous book so I knew I had to request this one on Netgalley and was happy when I got approved.

My thoughts & feelings:
• It is a Domestic Thriller with a missing children trope.
• I actually found this story slow and a little tedious at times.
• The two mothers had the same personality so it was hard to keep up with who was who in that aspect (audio book problem).

Trigger Warnings: Miscarriage & infertility.

Thank you Legend Press and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Really loved this book! Was gripped from the start and wanted to know what was happening. Think the last few chapters seem a little rushed considering the length of time it took to get to where you end up but still loved it all the same. Ending I had a thought about part way through but wasn’t sure until near the end so still kept me gripped throughout. Worth reading and very well written

This book had so many issues, ended up DNFing. MIssing children trope, and a husband who takes advantage of a woman. HARD PASS FOR ME.

Really liked this book. Several storylines that intermingle but easy to follow the story. One missing child….then two!! Who’s responsible? A stranger? Friend? Family? Kept me guessing until the end and even then, one last twist at the very, very end. I was like….WOW!! I would definitely recommend this book.

This book really makes you wonder about whats going on in your neighbourhood.

Two children are missing, within weeks of each other in what seems to be a perfect neighbourhood, but what goes on behind closed doors tells a different story..

The story is told from the points of view of the missing childrens mothers, the babysitters and an actress called Alison who fled from the neighbourhood .
There are plenty of suspects and lots of secrets.
Everybody has them. especially the babysitter Cassidy.
But where are the children and is the babysitter involved in any way.

This grabbed me from the first page and held my attention all the way through.
To me, if you love Liane Moriarty, you will love this.
A fantastic story, very believable characters and very atmospheric, you will love this
I couldnt put it down and highly recommend it.

A great story!!

I really enjoyed this novel. The story pulled me in right from the start and I had a very hard time putting it down. In fact, I read this in just a few sittings.

The characters were all very well developed and I was able to keep them all straight which isn't always easy with multiple points of view.

An excellent domestic suspense novel by LIz Alterman. I can't wait to read more from this talented author.

A great thriller with some excellent characterisation especially of the two main teenage characters Cassidy and Lexi who behaved exactly how I would expect teenagers to behave.
The use of multiple pov’s was useful at carrying the plot along and although I did guess the baddy I wasn’t certain I was right.
Good ending too.

A fantastic twisted story full of tension, fairly obvious who to blame however the story kept it intriguing with the finale and the outcome.

Actress and model Allison Langley leaves her husband Christopher in the middle of the night. She leaves him a note saying " I can't do this anymore" In the meantime, Rachel Barnes's son Billy is missing. He disappears on his way home from school. People are shocked as Billy is only a kindergartner so he is much too young to be anywhere by himself. Allison is staying with her friend Viv and is closely following Billy's case it happened in the neighborhood where her husband is still living. Rachel is furious with her husband Ted because he doesn't seem overly concerned about Billy's whereabouts. Two of the neighbor suspect that Ted may be responsible for his son's disappearance But could Ted actually have harmed Billy? Cassidy, Billy's babysitter, is terrified that she will be blamed as she was late arriving to Billy's house to babysit him. She assumed that he would be there when she arrived. Once again a kindergartner walking home alone from school is very dangerous. The neighborhood might appear safe but who knows what could happen? How well do we know our neighbors? What if a predator is near? This book was enjoyable. It was thought-provoking and well written. Gift yourself a copy!

I read Liz Alterman's debut YA thriller last year and adored her writing style, so I was very excited to see she was coming out with an adult thriller. And its cover is so good, too!

The Perfect Neighborhood had everything I love about a suburban neighborhood thriller: gossip, secrets, lies, and catty women. There is an illicit romance between an adult and a teen, but thankfully it is never described on-page.

I enjoyed the kidnapping plot and thought it unraveled at a good pace. I was intrigued throughout the story, despite having a pretty good idea who the culprit was. This was a very bingeable beach thriller that I was able to read in just over a day while on vacation.

The Perfect Neighborhood by Liz Alterman is a fantastic domestic suspense novel that I couldn't put down! Gossipy neighbors, backbiting friends, secretive spouses-the author served up all of my favorite things piping hot. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much to #Netgalley for the arc. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It was a great thriller filled with a lot of POVs but mainly from the women in the neighborhood. Thank god I know my neighbors pretty good after living in my neighborhood for almost 16 years, lol

The twist is pretty predictable, but it didn't take away from story and the fun of reading it!

This book was fantastic. I was intrigued right away! And it kept my interest the whole book. I only guessed the ending with about 10% of it left, which was great.
