a good sample - well written and intriguing, but I'm not a fan of samples in general - it's difficult to give any concrete feedback as not enough time to sink into the story

Very difficult to give feedback on such a small sample. It seems to have caught my attention and I would like to know how it progresses so it would definitely be a want to read
Thank you Netgalley & B Robinson for the wee sampler.

This sample was great, looking forward to reading more when more is released! Not quite enough to be sure on it.

I enjoyed this sampler and it has made me want to read the rest of the book, I was intrigued and felt that the book will be full of drama and twists

A short story. To be truthful I thought that the story was about to begin in earnest and then it ended. An interpreter finds it hard to separate work from the moral dilemma of helping someone evade justice, when all she has done is interpret in court what they want to say.She has also recently adopted a seven year old boy with the many challenges that brings. A good basis but unfinished to my mind.

Thank you NetGalley for these sample pages of The Interpreter by Brooke Robinson. After only the first few chapters this author has me completely trapped in a creepy web of anticipation as to what is going to happen next, From the grief stricken husband to the evil heiress and the downtrodden assistant come childcare helper I really have no idea who to trust.

Fantastic writing from an author I would love to read more of. A gripping read I can’t wait to devour more of!

Great start to the full book! I wish I had the whole book in my hands. Unfortunately with only an exerpt I am unable to provide a full review, but I will say that the conept and premise are very interesting and I look forward to reading the full work when this is made available.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House UK, Vintage for a copy of this sample in exchange for an honest review!

Considering that this “ARC” was a mere sample and not a full manuscript, and the fact that it took me less than an hour to actually read it, it’s difficult for me to formulate an actual opinion on it. It definitely sets the tone for a fun and exciting thriller, but I don’t have enough to work with to give a proper review. Sorry!

I’d nonetheless be interested in devouring a novel like this when the finished copy is available.

A childhood spent moving around the world left Revelle Lee with an unusual gift the ability to fluently speak 11 languages. Now, Revelle spends her days translating for witnesses, victims, and the accused across London crime scenes and courtrooms. It's a stressful job, though not as stressful as the process she is currently going through to adopt little boy, Elliot. She is determined to be the mother to him that she never had, and to make up for her own past mistakes.

But when it seems a murderer will go free, Revelle puts the adoption and her job at risk, deliberately mis-translating the alibi to ensure he is found guilty. No one can ever find out that she interfered or she will lose her son and her livelihood.

The problem is someone already knows what she's done... and they want justice of their own.

Really enjoyable read totally recommend I couldn’t put it down really gripping
Thank you NetGalley and Random House Uk Vintage

This is just a sample. But based on this sample alone. I look forward to reading the book in full when it is released and it looks like it's going to be a good one.

Really intriguing beginning, I am looking forward to being able to read the rest of the book. As a language lover, I find the main character interesting, and her personal life is just as great to read about. I could feel some darkness coming her way but no way to understand how or why!

Enjoyed the sampler but would have liked it to be longer. I think it might definitely be my type of book so will keep an eye out for publication day. Thanks to netgalley, author and publisher for the sample.

This sample was enough to leave me disappointed when I got to the end!
Hooked from the beginning, I am definitely going to be looking forward to reading the whole thing.

Only read the first couple of chapters as received a free sample from NetGalley. Hooked. Totally want to find out more and so off to buy.

Ahh... I wondered why the pages were counting down so fast...this was only a sample of the full book. Great start but cannot comment on how it continues as we aren't given the chance here....
Hence the less than average rating...

I was sent a teaser of this book and it reads brilliantly. From the off it is tense and yet immediately enjoyable and easy to get into.
I wish I’d been sent the whole thing and will definitely read it as soon as I can.

I never repeat the blurb. Really enjoyed the first chapters but it wasn't overly clear it was just a sample. Very disappointed in this and I hope Netgalley don't start this.
