Bromke does a tremendous job of unfurling threads of the story and leaving me hanging. I feel like I’m unraveling a sweater and all I have is the snarled thread. I try to connect the ends, but they make no sense.
I’m dying to know the real story of Hank and Barbara. I’m also wondering why Morgan Jo thought she could produce wine just by having her grandfather’s recipes, yet has no business plan, no backup plan, and is flying by the seat of her pants.
The best part of the book is the VHS tapes and not being able to watch them, which contain much needed footage. I converted several VHS tapes a few years ago and it was like a newfound treasure.
I have no patience so I want to know what happens in the next installment. Fast forward!! Do you kids, google the reference.

Wonderful addition to the Brambleberry Creek series. This book picks up where Home to Brambleberry Creek ended and it is a great read. It's full of wonderful characters, family drama and secrets. Loved it and can't wait to read the next book in this series.
I received a complimentary copy from Bookouture and Elizabeth Bromke via NetGalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Past and present are woven together in this second novel in the Brambleberry Creek series.

Families, their secrets, and mysteries contained inside an old notebook are at the heart of this book. Amber Lee is a recently heartbroken woman who heads home to Brambleberry to heal. Together with her cousin Morgan they begin to get a winery up and running. Along the way, Amber finds an old notebook of her grandfather's, and she gets drawn into the mystery. Add in Callum, a local, and things start looking up.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Wow! I loved the plot and the characters and how the author has captured the quirks of each individual! Books rich in story lines and character driven always become quick favourites and that's exactly what happened here. With its share of heartbreak, love , romance and drama it's a firecracker read perfect to chase away the blues!

I just loved this book. I definitely need to go read the first in the series now. It was a great plot, in what sounded like a lovely place. The authors descriptive writing really made me imagine this lovely place. The book was very well written. Can’t wait to get lost in the first book now

Solid Middle Entry In Trilogy. This book picks up where Home To Brambleberry Creek (released just a month earlier) leaves off, and focuses on a different member of the family and her own familial and relationship issues. Yet it also continues the overall mythos set up so far and does an excellent job of it. Quite humorous at times to boot, though the mystery here goes back to an unresolved issue from the first book... which will clearly be revealed in the finale of this excellent series. Whereas in Home we got to see a lot of the history of grandma, in this one we get to see a lot of the history of grandpa and how *his* actions would shape the family for generations to come. Bromke's usual storytelling excellence is on full display here, and as is often the case with her penultimate books, you're going to want that final book in your hands seconds after finishing this one. Which is where those of you reading this review after all three books have been released have an advantage over early adopters and ARC readers in particular. Still, read these books as early as you can ethically acquire them. You won't be disappointed. Very much recommended.

Such a well crafted novel, compelling enough to pull you through and very quick read. I enjoyed it so much from the first page till the end. A good story like this needs a quiet afternoon, a sofa and a warm blanket. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
