Gorgeous festive story that was so engaging to read.
I loved how Lucy ended up stranded with the family, and how she managed to overcome the prejudices against her.
It was exciting to see her develop her relationships in the family and to find happiness at Christmas once more.

As the story opens, we are introduced to the main characters; Lucy, who is determined to save the business that she works for, and siblings, Ross, Alice, and Clemmie. Of course, we understand that their paths are going to cross, but could never have imagined how that would work out.
As the synopsis explains, Lucy is faced with spending Christmas alone, so has no reservations about venturing up to Northern Scotland to meet with a few influencers, and then deliver a marketing proposal that could change the fortunes of the small marketing agency that she loves working at.
Despite her best intentions, and as the title suggests, the weather takes control leaving Lucy stranded in the company of a family that needs some special intervention. As the snow builds up outside, each sibling must take control of their personal predicaments if they are to find happiness.
I thoroughly enjoyed this festive treat and can happily recommend it. The characters are each well-developed, and I could easily picture them in the kitchen at the family home. I could almost smell the gingerbread.
My personal favourite would have to be Nanna Jean, she reminded me of my own Nana who just adored having her family around her, but never shied away from delivering her own special brand of advice. She certainly helped me understand the term ‘unconditional love’.
The story style sees each chapter focusing on one of the main characters, including family matriarch Glenda. It was a pleasure to feel like I was sharing a warm, family Christmas. There may have been an element of predictability in the story arc, but I cannot imagine how that can be avoided with a Christmas Book!
This is another joy-filled triumph. My only regret is that I didn’t read and review it in time for publication.

Cosy Christmas book, a little predictable but still an enjoyable read.
Gave me Hallmark vibes which is perfect

Thanks to the publishers and netgalley for letting me read this novel

Predictable, but sweet and very festive. Snowed in for Christmas reminds me of those cheesy Hallmark movies which are an essential part of the festive season for me, I really enjoyed it.

Such a wonderful festive read perfect for yule tide. I love Sarah Morgan's Christmas tales. The setting of this one in Scotland was so wonderful. I desperately wanted to dive into the pages and be part of the story and snuggle down in the cosy lodge

Utterly charming. Perfect Christmas read.

Morgan has successfully captured the essence of Christmas through simple but effective writing.
Snow, open fireplaces, festive traditions, family and a whole load of romance. She shows conventional and unconventional lives which is refreshing.
The strong females are likeable, loveable in fact and were well developed. I could read many a sequel of this family, that's for sure!

Snowed in for Christmas by Sarah Morgan

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to NetGalley and HQ and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blurb

This Christmas the Miller siblings have one goal—to avoid their well-meaning family’s endless stream of prying questions. Ross, Alice and Clemmie have secrets that they don’t intend to share, and they are relying on each other to deflect attention.

An uninvited guest

Lucy Clarke is facing a Christmas alone and the prospect of losing her job. Unless she can win a major piece of business from Ross Miller, the season promises to be anything but festive. She’ll just deliver her proposal to his family home and then leave. After all, she wouldn’t want to intrude on the Miller family’s perfect Christmas.

A Christmas to remember

When Lucy appears on the Miller family’s snow-covered Highland doorstep, she's mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend. By the time the confusion is cleared up, they're snowed in—she can’t leave, even if she wants to! But does she want to? As secrets spill out like presents from an overstuffed stocking and the chemistry between her and Ross ignites, this is going to be either Lucy's worst Christmas ever or the best mistake of her life.

My Opinion

This is a lovely festive read. The Miller family were so welcoming that I would love to stay a while in their snow covered home. The plot was a little busy but that just helped me fly through this book as I didn't want to put it down. Sarah Morgan has written a lovely book, just perfect for reading in the run up to Christmas.

Rating 4/5

Lucy works for a marketing agency and just before Christmas she finds out the company is struggling. With no family around, work is Lucy’s life so she’s sets a plan in motion to pitch for business with the very successful Ross Miller and his active brand. Ross Miller’s family own a very popular shortbread company based in Scotland and much to his fathers dismay, Ross decided not to join the family business but start his own.
Lucy heads up to Scotland to deliver her Christmas present pitch to Ross but finds herself snowed in for Christmas at their family home. With no remaining family of her own, Lucy feels comfortable in their home, however, the Miller family are hiding secrets, arguing constantly and are in general chaos. They are not the perfect family they portray in the media. Can the family come together by Christmas? Can Lucy find happiness and save her job?
This was a lovely read. The characters are likeable and the Miller family dynamic is relatable. The story is set in a perfect snowy backdrop making me feel cozy and festive when I read it. It’s an idea real for the Christmas season.

I can’t believe I am saying this but Snowed in for Christmas is the first book that I have read by Sarah Morgan. Don’t ask me how it has taken me so long a book by this author especially seen as she has such a prolific and frankly staggering back catalogue and I also always see her books popping up on my Twitter feed. But finally, I have righted a wrong and this Christmas book was a gorgeous read that gave me a real sense of the author’s writing style and I just know that I will continue to read books from this talented author. What really attracted me to reading this book was the absolutely stunning cover. I just adored the colours and image used and as I read through the book I came to understand how it gave a real sense as to the plot and the themes that were explored. This was a lovely, quick read, ideal for this time of year when you may get just an hour or two to relax amidst the Christmas madness and preparations. It provided me with a much-needed escape as a lovely and heart-warming story unfolded.

Lucy Clarke works at a creative agency in London. This is a high pressured job with the tension increasing tenfold when there is a fear that people will lose their jobs unless they secure a new ad campaign. Lucy has been given a tight deadline to try and secure some reindeer for a Christmas shoot and whilst in Scotland she hopes to present a marketing campaign/proposition to Ross Miller who has a high profile sportwear company. If she could get this campaign it would mean security for both herself and her fellow co-workers. But Ross is very hard to reach and his company is doing so well. Really what would make him choose the marketing company Lucy works for over all the others? What can they bring to the table?

Lucy is a lovable character. Her job is her security, both financially and emotionally, and the most important thing in her life. She comes across as being very vulnerable though as she is still grieving the loss of her grandmother last Christmas. She misses that unconditional love. That love that could be depended on and now she just feels cold, exposed and alone. She misses someone she could talk to and anxiety has plagued her with her feeling like she is on the edge, navigating life with no safety net. Despite this maelstrom of emotions that she is experiencing and living with everyday she always does her best in her job but little does she realise that Scotland has a lot more in store for her than she first expected.

Lucy just wants to get the job done and get back to London and hibernate for the festive season as it’s something she has been dreading all year. The magic for her is gone. But when she arrives at the family home of Ross she is mistaken for his girlfriend and a comedy of errors ensues leading to her being stuck with the family due to a snowstorm and the fact she has hurt her ankle leaving her incapacitated. She has no choice but to stay with this family of strangers when all she wanted to do was leave the proposal and scurry back to London as quickly as possible. Lucy is a warm, genuine and generous character who gets a lot more than she bargained for as Ross’ family embrace her. Each of them is dealing with their own issues and uncertainties and maybe having a surprise guest in their midst will force them to confront a few home truths?

Glenda is married to Douglas who runs Glen shortbread. They have been desperate for Ross to take over the family business, but he has set off on a different path. Glenda is a real mother hen who looks after and nurtures everybody and she just wants to see all her children happy in their lives and married. I think said children Ross, Alice and Clemmie had other ideas and felt under pressure to conform to what their mother wanted for them. Really Glenda had a good heart and was only coming from a place of love and wanting the best for her children. There are many secrets within the family which slowly spill out over time and there is a sense that they are a funny yet maddening bunch with discord aplenty and poor Lucy finds herself in the middle of it all. But I felt she handled things well and given she had no choice but to stay put she integrated well with Ross’ family and maybe she needed this in her own life to take her out of the maelstrom of emotions she was feeling in the run up to Christmas which she had dreaded all year.

Alice is a doctor in emergency medicine and very focused on her career putting an awful lot of pressure on herself. She has been dating Nico for several months and she senses he may be about to propose but because of her nature to worry and stress about things she feels that there are so many ways that she could fail at marriage. She is very hesitant and I thought she was so down on herself when really she was a remarkable woman who showed such strength and fortitude in her job yet underneath it all she was very vulnerable and not willing to open or confined in anyone as to how she felt about marriage and relationships. I desperately wished that she could find the will to get things off her chest and to accept she needed to give things a try. Fear of failure is natural for everyone, but you have to give in to it and take the steps to move forward whether they be tentative or not.

Clemmie is the baby of the family who is hiding a big secret which I didn’t guess at until the moment of reveal. She has no interest in a high powered career similar to her siblings. She loves children and has trained as a nanny but has just left her most recent job. As she returns to the family fold will she be ready to impart some big news and will the family accept it? As for Ross, he is made to feel guilty for not joining the family business and he wants Clemmie and Alice to cover up for him. In fact all three band together to cover for each other and if Glenda had known her children believed they had to carry on like that she would have been horrified. All Glenda wanted was a cosy family Christmas but as the snow falls and the temperatures dip even further there is a lot of revelations, home truths and honesty about to come to the surface.

I can’t fail to mention Nana Jean, she was a fabulous addition to the story bringing much needed humour and light relief when tensions threatened to boil over. She really had no filter and said things straight up that needed airing. As the story developed, I felt more in love with the characters and the plot and it really felt as if I was whisked away from the troubles of everyday life and I became very eager to see how things would pan out for Lucy and co as I had become deeply invested in all the goings on.

Snowed in for Christmas was a wonderful, magical read. Sometimes books that claim to focus on Christmas can have the briefest allusion to the festive period and the reader is left disappointed. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case here at all and it really got me in the mood for Christmas. The cover alone would make you pick this book off the shelf and then the story that awaits you inside was such a pure joy to read. I loved the sense of family that developed despite the different issues the various family members were experiencing. I think I made a very good choice with my first Sarah Morgan book and its certainly one that you should add to your festive reading list for 2022 which if you are anything like me is growing longer by the day as there have been so many fabulous books published in this genre this year.

Snowed In For Christmas by Sarah Morgan ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The story focuses on the three Miller siblings - sports brand owner Ross, dedicated doctor Alice and super nanny Clemmie. They return to the family home in Scotland for the Christmas season to visit their loving, and slightly interfering parents and Nanna Jeanie. However before long they find themselves snowed in, along with an unexpected guest or two!

I enjoyed the multiple romances going on in the story, all lovely in their own way, although maybe not all that believable, but it was Clemmie and Furgus who I was really rooting for.

This seems to be THE festive read of 2022 and I can see why! Was it overly sentimental? You bet!
Did everything get neatly wrapped up like a Christmas present? Yep!!
Can she get away with it because it’s ‘the most wonderful time of the year? I’d say so!

I normally love Sarah Morgan’s books and was excited to be approved to read this. However it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me - felt like there were too many stories going on and the romance we were promised took some time to develop.

Thanks go to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for my review.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Another brilliant book from Sarah.

Lucy is trying to win a major business proposal from Ross Miller when she finds herself snowed in with Ross and his family, Ross and his siblings have secrets that they are trying to keep to themselves. On arrival to Ross’s family home she is mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend, by the time she has convinced them she is not she funds herself in the middle of a family fallout with a family that are not hers.

This is only my second Sarah Morgan book that I've read, and I really enjoyed it. I don't know why I've waited so long to read her books.

This one is definitely all about a family christmas. I loved all the characters, especially nana Jean. You could really picture the snowy scene in Scotland.

Thank you.

Oh what a treat this book was!! No one writes a family drama like Sarah Morgan. No one writes a Christmas book like Sarah Morgan. This was exactly the cosy Christmas book I was looking for and I absolutely loved it. All of the characters were incredibly likeable. Nanna Jean, what a woman!!! All of them though were utterly fantastic and I felt so drawn into the Miller family. There was no shortage of drama but the way that they dealt with it as a family was heartwarming. I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to spoil any parts of it but if you’re looking for a Christmas book to read, read this one!!! It’s brilliant 😍

Wow, I really adored this wonderful Christmas romance, which was just heartwarming and amazing!

Lucy goes to snowy Scotland to try and get a business deal from Ross Miller, and what she finds is just beautiful. She finds a gorgeous family who are celebrating Christmas in every way possible. The Miller family have all joined together for Christmas, and with them comes the usual family dramas, but also a lot of love, emotional outpourings, and togetherness.

Ross, along with Alice and Clemmie have a big part in the story, and we see their own stories too. They, along with their Mum and Dad, are just all so sweet and loveable. The best character in the story, however, is the wonderful Nanna Jean. She is the best character I have ever read in a story. She is just so adorable and sweet, and so kind and loving. I loved her!

Lucy is so lucky to have been put in with the Miller family, and she has a lovely time with them. As she has no family of her own, she is so grateful to be cared about, and have these beautiful people around her.

I loved this book so much, and it is one of my favourite books of 2022! I highly recommend it, as it warmed my heart on a cold winter's day, and it brought a big smile to my face.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.
