So excited I read the rest of this book! Love that it’s not a completely different story, different characters etc, but the story of Catalinas friend and cousin meeting and living together.

Love Elenas writing too. It’s fun and easy to read. Can easily picture what is happening within the scenes too

Give me the rest of this book… right now!!
This was a perfect intro to a romance novel, I can’t wait to see how their relationship progresses!

Love the sampler and can't wait to read more. I am getting the book as part of a read along from Tandem Collective so I can't wait to find out what happens! Highly recommend this. I'm a huge fan of Elena Armas!

I find it so hard to give a full review when only given one chapter - but honestly, I am SO FREAKING excited for this book that I couldn’t resist a sneak peak.

This first chapter was so gripping. I was able to grasp Rosie’s character easily and quite like her from the tiny window I was given.

It’s a really nice set up for the rest of the book, and it hasn’t satisfied my need to read this book in the slightest.

I loved this chapter sampler and I’m so excited to read the rest of the book now! I was excited to find out Catalina is a side character in this book and that it’s all in a way connected to the wedding in The Spanish Love Deception. I liked that the first chapter jumped straight into the main story line and I’m already intrigued about what’s to happen! I’ve ordered the book and will be posting a full review when I’ve read it.

I am so excited for this, I didn't realise it would be connected to the spanish love deception. The set up for the book reads really well and it seems like it's going to have some good laughs in there.

I can only base this off of the 1st chapter and it was good, I will get the book eventually and then give my full review.
But thank you Elena Armas for allowing me to read the first chapter of your new book. Also thank you to Netgalley for allowing me access to a start of an interesting book!

3.5/4 stars!

This was a super slow burn romance, but I ended up really enjoying that aspect. I do think you have to be in the mood for/generally enjoy that though!

I also loved that the ‘sunshine’ personality was the man, not the woman. We don’t always have to be the ‘sunny, happy’ one in the story.

I enjoyed this little taster! I'm excited to read more when I've got my hands on a copy of the book! I really feel like its going to be a fun-fast read, much like The Spanish Love Deception. I'm excited to read on and learn even more about our protagonists and seeing how the plot plays out!

Lucas Martín might have officially taken over Aaron Blackford as my fave book boyfriend…

First off I’d like to thank NetGalley and Simon and Schuster for the opportunity to read the chapter sampler. I was also lucky enough to receive a physical proof copy from Simon and Schuster, so this will be a review on the whole book!

I absolutely LOVED this book! It’s such a contrast for me from TSLD, which I found really hard to get into and struggled with the main character.

But The American Roommate Experiment was the complete opposite for me, I was hooked from the very first chapter!
Rosie and Lucas had chemistry and instant attraction from the first time they met, I loved that they became friends first and grew close before anything romantic happened!
This book is full of SO many of my favourite tropes including, Slow Burn, Dual POV, Friends to
Lovers, Forced Proximity and loads more!

I found Rosie to be a very relatable character, the same with Lucas, and their relationship/friendship was so lovely to read about and see grow! I also loved that Lina and Aaron had a few appearances!

Overall I highly recommend The American Roommate Experiment if you’re looking for an escape to New York with laughter, romance and friendship!

It’s hard to review a chapter as it doesn’t really capture the full essence of the book. However, this was a fairly good start and would entice me to read the rest of the book in the future.

Wow! The sampler!!! Was outta the world!!!!!
Can't wait to read the entire masterpiece!!
Thankyou netgalley for the Arc!

This was like a 10 page sampler not even a full chapter if that. Hardly enough for anyone to decide whether to pick the book or not.

As for me, I really enjoyed the Spanish Love Deception last year so I am anyways looking forward to reading this as well. Hopefully soon!

Firstly I’d like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for the chapter sample 😍❤️

Having only read the tiniest bit of The American Roommate Experiment I just know I’m going to love it when I get the book!! 😍😍 It was an absolutely brilliant chapter!! I met both Rosie and Lucas and they’re both really likeable and engaging characters and I was able to learn quite a bit of the basis of the story. Rosie is staying in her friends flat whilst she’s on her honeymoon and, out of the blue, Lucas turns up to stay as well 😏😏 Rosie seems to be super aware of Lucas although she’s never met him. He has no idea who she is though…🤔😍 I just know it’s going to be an amazing read!!

I’m so excited to grab this book when it comes out and just based on the chapter I’m definitely giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you so much to netgalley and Simon & Schuster UK for allowing me to read the first chapter of this book . Although equally I must call you out on being such teases 😂

After reading the first chapter I already know I’m in for a treat and obviously have it on pre-order! My only disappointment is I feel this would have been the perfect summer read. I feel based on the first chapter I should be reading the test with the sun shining and a cocktail in hand . Oh well I suppose pumpkin lattes by a fire side and curled up in a comfy armchair will have to do #ihearthepumpkincalling #fireside

The first chapter gives you enough clues and teases as to what is going to happen to leave you wanting more. I’m excited to read the rest of this book considering how much I enjoyed Elena Armas’ previous book.

Rosie Graham has a problem. A few, actually. She just quit her well paid job to focus on her secret career as a romance writer. She hasn’t told her family and now has terrible writer’s block. Then, the ceiling of her New York apartment literally crumbles on her. Luckily she has her best friend Lina’s spare key while she’s out of town. But Rosie doesn’t know that Lina has already lent her apartment to her cousin Lucas, who Rosie has been stalking—for lack of a better word—on Instagram for the last few months. Lucas seems intent on coming to her rescue like a Spanish knight in shining armour. Only this one strolls around the place in a towel, has a distracting grin, and an irresistible accent. Oh, and he cooks.
