Absolutely amazing. So good . The first chapter was so good and funny too. From the very first line it got my full attention and couldn’t stop reading . I can not wait till it’s out and I can find out what will happen next .

How can the FIRST chapter of a book make me squeal and kick my legs like a love struck teenager?!

I was already excited to read The American Roommate Experiment and I absolutely adored The Spanish Love Deception, but this has made me even more excited and I didn’t think that was possible.

Elena Armas has a way of getting her readers to love a character within the first couple of chapters in a book and it seems that this one is no different.

I’m going to go and sit in a corner until this is properly out in the world!

(Thank you to Simon & Schuster UK and Netgalley for letting me read the first chapter!)

I received an advance of chapter 1 and wow what a preview. I love the characters so far, they both seem cute and I desperately want to read more about them. The writing was funny and gripping and I’m definitely excited for this book’s release.

Thank you Simon And Schuster , Elena Arms and NetGalley for the chapter 1 sampler.

WHAT. A. TEASER.

This opening chapter ticked all the boxes with the best (/hilarious) opening meet-cute between Rosie and Lucas. I can already tell I'm going to adore these two sunshine characters. We rarely get to see it - as much as I love the grumpy x sunshine dynamic, I'm all for this with these two sweet, personable characters!

I can't wait to read more as this is sure to be the rom-com of the year. The countdown is on!

I read a preview of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. The preview featured chapter one of The American Roommate Experiment. Thank you to Elena Armas and Simon and Schuster for giving me the chance to have a sneak peak into this book before it's release!

From just one chapter alone I am hooked, gripped quickly by the way in which the main characters meet. I CANNOT wait to read the full book when it releases and thankfully I have had it on preorder for weeks! Fans of the Spanish Love Deception will NOT be disappointed, and I can't wait to read more about Catalina's best friend Rosie.

This sneek peak was soo good but soo sad that its all we are getting.
I have a feeling that the rest of this book is going to be just as amazing as TSLD which I also loved.
Can't wait for the release.

I was already excited for this book and this sampler has made my excitement soar to unbearable heights!! I do wish it was a bit longer so I could get a better feel for the characters but I can already tell this is going to be equal parts sweet and spicy and I am going to LOVE Rosie.
Can't wait to read the whole thing - thank you for this teaser!

Being a big fan of Elena Areas I was SO excited to receive this arc chapter sampler so a big thank you to Simon and Schuster UK.

It was only the first chapter that I read but its made me anticipate the release of The American Roommate Experiment even more. I can already sense the dynamics between Rosie and Lucas are going to be electric and I literally cannot wait to get my hands on a physical copy of this book. September 6th cannot come soon enough! As always Elena's writing style is subpar and I'm so excited to see what journey of emotions this book will take me on!

I didn't like The Spanish Love Deception at all, but this chapter got me intrigued. I'm curious to read the rest.

The Sampler was an interesting tease and intriguing enough to make me not only want to read more but also to try the first book in the series.

A really strong start to the book - characters are interesting and the set up for what’s to come is there! Looking forward to the full book.

One chapter in and I need more! As I read I jumped from intrigue to anxious to giggling as the main character tries to deal with a rather late intruder trying to break into her home. Yeah wish I had more than the sampler to see where we go from here!

Thank you Netgalley and Simon and Schuster for a chapter sample of Elena Armas’ new book The American Roommate Experiment! This book takes place after the authors previous book, The Spanish Love Deception. After reading the first chapter I’m already super excited to read the whole book. The beginning of this book surrounds a hilarious miscommunication, and seems like it’s going to be one big forced proximity trope. Chances are if you read romance, you will love this trope, I’m desperate to see where this book goes from here, this chapter has left me impatiently waiting to get my hands on the rest of the story!

Definitely whet my appetite. Characters seemed strong and I’m definitely intrigued as to how/why she knows so much about the mystery cousin already!
