I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. Having read the author’s first book I was really looking forward to reading it and I was not disappointed, it was a beautiful and believable story that reduced me to tears, definitely recommend.

This was a lovely emotional read with a great main character in Cassie who, along with her elder brother Tom, was raised by her emotionally distant aunt after the death of their parents resulting in Cassie and Tom being very close to each other. A tragic accident leaves Cassie heartbroken but a treasure hunt that her brother set out as part of their Christmas traditions helps her start to move on with het life. I loved the characters in this and there was a genuine warmth in this as well as a whole raft of other emotions. The story is steady but flows wonderfully and I really found myself rooting for Cassie and see how her journey transpired. I liked that there were occasional chapters told from the perspective of Tom’s best friend Sam and how his past and present impacted him. This is a fabulous character read full of heart which is a marvellous read anytime of the year. 9/10

After reading always in December by this author I was looking forward to reading one last gift. This author has a knack for making you feel like you have been on an emotional rollercoaster and that your heart has been through the wringer before slowly piecing it all back together again.

This book was so much more than a romantic and Christmas story and was a story of love, loss and grief and of finding happiness again. The author writes about these issues in a sensitive and insightful way. Be warned you will need tissues and will be in for a book hangover when you have finished reading.

Again another of this authors books that has got inside my head and my heart and looking forward to reading more from them in the future

First off let me say I love Christmas themed books, add in snow and small village vibes and I'm there! This was a delightful book about life long friendships, losses, grief, bravery and getting out of comfort zones. Every year Tom' s Christmas gift to Cassie was a scavenger hunt ending with a gift. When tragedy strikes just before Christmas Tom's clues push Cassie to be brave, braver than she knew she could be, the clues are spread out through the year leading her to a brand new life and goals she didn't know she could achieve.
Every character was likeable with strengths and weaknesses that made them relatable.
I loved the clues, the friendships and the way they all supported each other and genuinely wanted what was best for the other person.
While it was a slightly predictable ending, it was comfortably so and wonderfully sweet. It put me in a Christmas mood bang in the middle of July.

For as long as Cassie can remember, it had been the three of them: Cassie, her big brother Tom, and Tom's annoying best friend Sam.

Now, Tom is sorted, Sam is flying high, and Cassie thinks she's figured it all out. Then tragedy happens and three becomes two.

For Cassie picking herself up seems unimaginable. Until she finds an envelope addressed to her, asking her to follow the trail to one last gift...

And suddenly what seems like an ending leads Cassie to something unexpected, beautiful and new...
Really enjoyed this book totally recommend
