Perfect little book to dip in and out of; great aid for language learning. Might not be the best for complete beginners.

This was fantastic & super useful! I am so glad to have gotten the chance to rely on this tool - I've been doing lessons on my own thus far & having the Coffee Break book around truly heightened the study time. I need to make a point of heading to a story to purchase the book myself because it feels like a tool that is forever useful to have in my roster. So grateful for this!

Such fun and with the app too can be completed anytime you have a few minutes. I do like a physical book when learning languages even if I also have stuff on my phone. Add in an espresso and all is perfect! Other languages available too. Thanks to Netgalley.

This was a really interesting format to look at learning a language at. It was really useful as you could choose the lesson depending on the amount of time you have on your coffee break. This book really helped me pick up some more pieces of German.

It's an interesting way of learning a language in a coffee break and this book can help a person that's too busy to study a language to learn it easier or at least to see if the language suits the person.

I was already familiar with Coffee Break through their podcasts. This is a fantastic resource for anyone wishing to learn German.

My personal level of the language is maybe too high to get the benefit from this, but I can see someone with more intermediate German finding it to be of great help.

I was lucky enough to get this book from Netgalley recently and it was a really helpful tool sometimes when it comes to practicing and learning German.

I really appreciated how diverse and different each practice was and it really did push me. I'd recommend it with something like Duolingo, as I feel the app doesn't really push you enough to really create sentences/paragraphs where this one you can really build your vocabulary and begin to write in a language, and use it in a practical way. I'd definitely use these practice ideas with other languages as well.

I like the time adaptability the book has and how it can fit in anytime and I really liked flicking through and finding an activity perfect for what I am learning (and you can probably adapt them as well and change them up for an area you want to study deeper into).

A really good book if you want to learn more german, I'd love to try more languages with these practice ideas!

(I recieved an ARC from Netgalley for honest review).

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
I have holidayed in Austria and Germany many times over the last 30 years so I've picked up some words and phrases but I've never fulfilled my intention to undertake a course of study to improve my fluency and understanding. Now I'm in my sixties I've realised I'll probably never bother, and then I saw this book! It's really amazing, such short and varied exercises are ideal for me and it's so easy to use. I love that it covers aspects of grammar as well as words, and I look forward to continuing to dip in and out of it over the next month or two before my next holiday so I'll understand more by the time I get there.

An excellent way to refresh a language you already know. Well done and easy to follow.

These books that offer various exercises, constructed in different ways and aimed at making us remember the words of the foreign language and its grammatical construction, are designed for those who already know the language and want to improve or brush up on it, but are not suitable for those who want to learn it from scratch.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

This is a wonderful guide in German language learning. It's not overwhelming, you can choose how long you want to learn for and it's designed to be short so that you can always fit it in no matter how busy you are. There are loads of different kinds of exercises which keep it interesting and fun.
My particular favourite was Say What You See.

An extremely helpful, well presented and informative guide to supplement studying of German.

The various activities are broken up into lessons which take between 5 - 15 minutes - ideal for during lunch breaks or anytime you have a spare moment. Easy to follow, very useful and presented in a fun and informative way. Highly recommended.

Thanks to John Murray Press, Teach Yourself and NetGalley for the ARC.
