Another brilliant entry in this fantastic series that just gets better and better with every instalment.

I enjoyed the idea of this book but this book didn't need to exist. The world was wrapped up nicely. Also they were stretching things way too far in this book. It's like the authors were trying way too hard.

A lot of fun, but a little same-y now. Definitely great for middle grade fans though, and the series really is fab.

A brilliant wrap up to this fab series! A final adventure with Billy, Spark and all of their human and dragon friends. Messages of friendship and kindness are seamlessly woven into this series and I love it. There are new baddies and plenty of action across the realms as they fight to bring humans and dragons together!

My 11yo and I absolutely adore Katie and Kevin's Dragons series.

We really enjoyed seeing the dragons in the human world and how the children in the book showed the adults a different perspective on the dragons and how humans and dragons can relate.

We absolutely loved the way this ended for Billy and his friends and we can't wait to see what happens next.

A wonderful finale to the series and I’m so glad it will continue with Dragon Force later this year. Some of my class are just getting into this series and I’m excited to experience it through their eyes. They still have all the adventures of Billy and his friends to come and reading this while knowing they’re just starting out is exciting. With rich, descriptive vocabulary and a quest to find a realm that might not exist gives an adventure that is full of excitement and mild peril.

Latest in the Dragon Realm series and my son (12) was not disappointed. He has read all of the others and was looking forward to this final installment but now very sad it has finished.
He said it was as action packed as the others and would like it again in paperback to go with his collection.
The language is rich and beautiful - I found it quite inspiring in places and glad to go on another adventure with Billy. No spoilers from me but it comes highly recommended.

The final episode in the saga, and with humans and dragons all at risk, and factions in the dragon world hampering species saving unity, this is a gripping and exciting finale to a great fantasy series.

The children drove me crazy reading this book, they were all so excited by the last in the series having enjoyed the others so much. They would have stayed up all night if I had just continued reading. The story, just like the others, was exciting and immersive and beloved by the children. We are very excited to see what the authors come up with next.

An epic story that I thorughly enjoyed: fast paced and action packed. Even if it's the last in series I loved what I read.
I think it can be appreciated by children and adults.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Another stunning, thrilling epic fantasy adventure from superstars Kevin and Katie Tsang. Broke my heart to hear that it's the last in the much-loved Dragon Realm series but I saw some exciting news about more dragon-shaped delights heading our way soon and I can't wait to hear more.

My son absolutely loves this series. I'm just so grateful that series like this exist today. What a rich world of books today's readers have at their fingertips.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that this was on NetGalley.
I have read the others to my children and we have enjoyed all of the books so far. I'm so glad to see another book in the dragon realm series.

This book is really good, another great adventure for Billy, Charlotte, Ling Fei , Dylan, Jordan and Lola. Just like the others but a different plot to keep us readers interested.

Very action packed. I try to read my kids one chapter a night but they keep asking me to read more and I cannot resist.

The dragon realm is collapsing into the human realm. Charlotte Billy, Ling Fei, Dylan, Jordan and Lola must find another realm for the dragons or try to get Humans and Dragons to live in harmony.

Will be adding this excellent dragon adventure to my school library as soon as it is published. My own child, and pupils love these books and keep an eye out for next publication dates.
Thanks for the opportunity to read this ahead of publication in exchange for an honest review

I can’t believe the Dragon Realm series is coming to an end (I’m secretly hoping there will be more adventures yet)! Dragon Destiny picks up right where Dragon Rising left off – a rip in the barrier between the dragon and human realms means dragons are falling though. People have no idea what’s going on! Adults try to sort it out but they are getting nowhere fast. It’s up to Billy and the rest of the gang to find a way to peace.

I was immediately caught up in this fast-paced, magical adventure. These stories slip down so easily and are dangerously addictive. The risk to the human world is an interesting twist on all the peril that has come before. The children have even more at stake as they try to put things right.

They embark on a magical archaeological mission to discover the history of dragon magic. I love the wisdom of Glorious Old – the first ever dragon. The children must prove their loyalty and strength showing just what fantastic characters they are: wonderful role models for integrity, self-belief and hope.

I have loved this series from the very beginning and was thrilled to be able to include an extract from the first book, Dragon Mountain, in my Contemporary Children’s Literature comprehension book for children in Years 5 & 6. When I trialled the extract and questions with a Year 6 class, they were so intrigued by the story, insisting I bring in the full book for them to read. Many of them asked their parents for the book so they could read it at home. It’s a story that has stayed with me for its unique storyline, mix of cultural backgrounds and honest portrayal of kids in the midst of a crazy, magical adventure.

A fitting and action-packed end to the Dragon Realm series! I really enjoyed that there were new characters introduced who each brought their own elements to the story. I can't wait to see what Kevin and Katie write next.

What an ending to the dragon realm seriea of books. I feel this really rounds up the saga really well, whilst still telling its own story. The last paragraph gives a hope for the future without giving too much away and you feel that the friendships can conquer anything. An uplifting end that makes you know its the end whilst still imagining their lives continuing. I love the characterisation of the friends throughout the whole series and Dylan never fails to make us laugh with his wry observations and Jordan and Lola really develop their own characters too in this story. A great read but I do think you need to have read the rest of the series first for it to have full meaning.

DRAGON DESTINY is a vibrant, fast-paced finale to remember.

The book goes out with a bang in an all-out war against humans and dragons, terrible technology, friendship shenanigans, and a realm between realms. This is a wonderful finale to the DRAGON REALM series: fast-paced, vibrant, chock-full of dragon goodness and fun.

I have to admit, those last pages got me a little emotional! It's very strange to say goodbye to these wonderfully charming characters. There are quite a few of them now, and scenes ended up ping-ponging between them all to keep everyone included in conversations, so it feels like a good place to stop.

That said, it appears this is the end of “Season 1”, whatever that means, but that makes me think there is more to come from this world! Looking forward to whatever comes next.

A fantastically magic-filled ending to this dastardly draconic series that started with Dragon Mountain. The Tsangs know how to write characters and the bonds between friends and dragons are one of the many reasons I couldn’t stop myself coming back to this series as soon as physically possible!

It will come as no surprise to anyone who knows me that I have been a massive fan of the Dragon Realm series since gobbling up Dragon Mountain in one sitting during the first lockdown. So, seeing the final book in the series available to read was met with mixed emotions: excitement at the thought of finding out what happens next (Dragon Rising left me wanting to know more immediately!) and sadness that this would be the final one. And so it was, I began Dragon Destiny whilst sat around the pool on holiday in Crete (by the way, there was a child there who was reading Dragon Mountain at the same time!)
The book begins only five days after we left Billy, Dylan, Charlotte , Liu and their friends at the end of Dragon Rising and Billy is being grilled by the British prime minister, American president & the Chinese president (with the support of his friends) during a meeting in Buckingham Palace in order to help them try to deal with the new situation in which they find themselves. Although Billy and his friends are adamant that dragons are friends, the authorities are not convinced and tensions between humans and dragons is rising. Things become worse when it becomes apparent the British government are once again using TURBO technology to catch dragons, and the Dragons of Dawn have declared that they do not need humans and are gathering increasing numbers of dragons to their ranks in order to mark out their territory on Earth. Can Billy, his friends and their dragons find a new home for the dragons before it's too late? And will Glorious Old be prepared to help them with their mission? And if they don't succeed what will the future hold?

The world as we know it has changed with dragons and humans now trying to get used to their new lives; however, as you would expect, there is uncertainty on both sides and tension is building from the very beginning of the book. The team decide to take action to see if they can find solution that will help everyone but involves a dangerous mission that could end in disaster. It is this journey that becomes the thrilling and unputdownable finale of the series.

It has been a pleasure to have watched Billy and the team grow as the series has progressed, and from having a huge secret in their dragons in book 1, their expertise is now very much in demand. But, despite their knowledge, the world leaders still only see them as children and aren't prepared to listen, especially when Billy is clearly feeling uncomfortable in the situation. It is this that leads them to taking things into their own hands.

I like that we see layers to the characters: their worries and concerns as well as their strengths and confidences are seen, each character is unique and children will be able to see themselves in one of the team.

The world building is spectacular again and being able to visualise each part of their journey is a feast for the senses. I have loved journeying through the different worlds with Billy and his friends and this time was no exception.

Dragon Destiny is a heart-stopping, thrilling adventure from the very first page that will have you spellbound (I took my phone out to dinner on holiday whilst reading the book as I couldn't put it down!) There were moments when I was almost scared to read on and I found the ends of chapters only made me want to read more (which made the 'just one more chapter' phrase a little difficult to uphold!). This is a series that has got better with every book and has been a huge hit in my school. I know that there will be huge excitement at the release of Dragon Destiny in school come September and and also sadness that series one has come to an end. However...

Released on the 29th September, Dragon Destiny is a book you just have to pre-order.
