Was delighted to get my hands on a copy of this book! Tara is recovering from a heartbreak, after being dumped by her fiancé Seth. She moves not shared app, with a firefighter Trevor. After their awkward first encounter, Tara and Trevor begin their friendship.
What I love about Tara is that she’s a book influencer and talks about bookstagram and doing book stack challenges etc! Love this aspect of the character. Tara is a true romantic. After her last relationship fails, she decides she wants to try her hand at the second chance romance trope. She begins to develop her “ex files”. Tara enlists Trevor’s help with her endeavour. As Tara is trying to find love with her exs she can’t help but fantasise about a room-romance with a Trevor, which she knows is not possible as he only wants non-committed flings!
I loved the contrast between the two main characters. She’s an all out big romantic gesture kind of a gal, and he is a one night only kinda man!!! I fell in love with Trevor. He seems like such a genuine guy. He is constantly reassuring Tara about her insecurities when faced with disappointment after disappointment. It seems to be that Trevor is the only one who appreciates Tara for who she is…. Trevor carries his own baggage with Tara tries to understand. I found Trevor so relatable. Lovely easy read

A must read for romance book lovers! Exe’s and O’s should be one of the first romance books you’ll read in 2023.

“EVERYTHING IS FINE. EVERYTHING IS FINE.
I mentally repeat that phrase as I haul myself up the stairwell to my new apartment. To my new life”
Wow !!! This book made my entire week … no, it made my year !!!!
I loved this contemporary romance !!
Fan of the movie “The Ugly Truth”, this book is exactly what you don’t know you needed !!!!
Tara is a romance reader. She knows it all; every tropes, every characters’ stereotypes… every fictional men you could fall for.
I absolutely fell for Travor … hard … really hard!!!
He is, not perfect, but he encompasses everything I love about book boyfriends … and I’m not going to say more about it because y’all need to read the book!!
The pace for this book was great and I loved going through Tara’s endless chances at second chance romance with her ex-boyfriends.
I loved how, despite everything she’s been through, she still believes in love. And I loved the role Travor played in making her realise her worth.
And whenever in a book there’s a very funny, outgoing and modern grandma … the book is a masterpiece !!!
And don’t let me start on the spicy times or the tension between the main characters … I had actual chills throughout the entire reading !!!!
I’m so glad I had the chance to get through this story and I truly hope the same for everyone who will have the chance to read it !!!
“Nonfictional feelings for fictional men”
“Crystal says I have an annoying tendency to box people into romance tropes and stereotypes."

Wow! This book was so much fun. It was light but had enough depth for the characters to feel real. It was soooo much steamier than Set On You in a good way. I'm not sure how I got my hands on this through Netgalley but not complaining!! It was such a joy to read 🥳
Tara is always the dumpee and never the dumper. After another failed relationship she finds herself rooming with a sexy firefighter who has no trouble getting women. But can he help her find a forever in her list of Exs?
It sort of reminded me of the movie He's Just Not That Into You and To All The Boys I Loved Before.
Reasons you should pre-order this book:
👨🚒 Sexy firefighter (seriously 🔥🌶)
❌️ Destruction of terrible ex boyfriends
🙌 Friendships
💁♀️ Fun MC
🌶 x100 👏
👨🚒 Did I mention the sexy firefighter?
Thanks to Netgalley, Viking UK for this ARC in return for an honest review. I looooved it!!!

I loved every thing about this! It’s cute, it’s funny and it’s an Ex hunt! How fun is that?! Adding a hot firefighting roommate to the mix who has more layers than meets the eye and a bunch of witty side characters and I just couldn’t get enough. The main character is, like most of us, a Bookstagrammer believing in all the love tropes! Making it super relatable! Such a quick paced fun read!

Thank you NetGalley for my e-Arc of this wonderful book!
Exes and O’s by the wonderful Amy Lea is a slow-burn, friends to lovers, grumpy sunshine, roommates, romantic comedy that is a must read for all you romcom lovers. I’m personally a sucker for a grumpy sunshine trope and this book absolutely did it for me.
Trevor is the grumpy playboy firefighter and the last man you’d see get into a relationship with the nurse roommate, Tara Li Chen, who so happens to be a romance-novel obsessed social media influencer on the side.
With Tara’s hunt for a second chance romance with one of her exes, Trevor cannot help himself but to agree to help her despite his feelings about relationships.
These two create such a strong friendship by not only being roommates but by Trevor helping Tara out on this adventure that had me screaming at my kindle “KISS HER!”. The plot unravelled so smoothly and I was hooked. I mean, who doesn’t love a grumpy firefighter who only has eyes for you? I know I want one myself!

Well, this is excellent. I loved Set On You, and I might have loved this more?! Too. Cute. I loved how unapologetically extra Tara is. Honestly, this is a masterpiece of rom com - laugh out loud funny but so incredibly sweet.

Amy Lea books never disappoint. This was the best book I've read in a long time. This book was a slow, slow burn but my god was it worth it and so much fun!!!

I enjoyed this book so much :)
When I first saw this book on goodreads I knew it would come on my most anticipated reads for 2023 so imagine how happy I was to read that I was accepted to read an ARC.
The ending definitely made me tear up a little because I relate to Tara quite a lot, like her I also want a romance book worthy love story. The things about this book I love the most are the messages in the book, no matter what the one person you’re meant to be with will never think you’re too much, even if everyone tells you you are and I LOVED the grand gesture Trevor did for Tara at the end

Got a long list of ex lovers. They’ll tell you I’m insane. -Taylor Swift
Wow… this book had me hooked from chapter 1. The slow burn almost killed me off. I read this in under 24 hours…it would have been a single sitter but I have responsibilities :(
Exe’s and o’s is about Tara. Tara is an bookstagrammer and she is struggling in the relationship department and she decides to revisit her exes - all ten of them. With the help of her firefighter new roommate what can go wrong. Everyone needs a Trevor in there life!
This book has all the tropes you could wish for; friends to lovers, forced proximity and grumpy sunshine There is a page at the start of the book with trigger warnings which is a nice touch. One of her ex’s is a walking 🚩 .
Filled with pop culture references from Taylor swift to Disney princess. If you love cartoon covered books this book is for you.

A book featuring a book blogger who loves romance books and second chance romances, who becomes room mates with a grumpy fire fighter? What is not to like!!!
This book was a hilarious read! I loved every character and the banter was top tier.
I loved how he was your typical closed off love interest who only opened up to her, you could tell how much Trevor cared about Tara straight away and I loved watching their relationship develop as Tara went on the hunt for the perfect ‘second chance romance’ but ended up with something completely different.
This was a slow burn. But i was so invested in the characters and living vivaciously through Tara that when things started to heat up I was smiling so much.
The character development was really good and didn’t feel rushed, everything seemed to happen at a good pace.
Can we talk about Trevor? The way he was so supportive of Tara and loved all her quirks. The way he would drop a packet of Cheetos on her lap when she was reading because he knew she liked to snack while reading “hello” 👋🏻 . When he saves her from being stood up on a date. The way he supports his niece was very sweet. He is just the loveliest character.
I highly recommend this one 🥰🫶

🤍 Friends to Lovers

This book like the main character, is a lot. Literally.
I think I would have liked it more if it was shorter and with less intensely detailed internal monologues + the romance was not built well enough in my opinion.
Other than that the whole over the top, Tara loves love concept works pretty well and I chuckled a few times but I also got annoyed some others and for those reason this books sits right in the middle with the rating.
Thank you NetGalley & Penguin General UK for the digital ARC.

Exes and O's by Amy Lea was a lovely little rom-com, featured in the same universe as her previous novel, Set on You. Now, don't be fooled - you don't have to have read Set On You to understand the plot of this book as it runs parallel, almost. I would however recommend this to anyone who has read Set On You and enjoyed it.

Amy Lea promises and delivers with this addictive slow-burn roommates-to-lovers the perfect way
This book was such a fun and heart-fulfilling read! When I read Amy Lea's Set On You and met Tara, I immediately wanted to read her story. So I was super excited about this one.
This book felt like a love letter to all hopelessly romantic romance book lovers and dreamers out there. It is a story that -if you relate - will definitely touch you and be like a warm hug in the end.
Tara and Trevor are great characters who have well-constructed and believable growth. Amy writes it so that their interactions, conversations, and issues are never dull and overbearing. And the fact this was written in dual POV was perfect.
Amy doesn't just write a cute love story. She also talks about how important it is to be yourself when it comes to love. To not settle for something and someone who's not willing to love you entirely with every perfection and imperfection. And I love that.
If you like romcoms with fun characters and a touch of steam, add this to your TBR now!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was a book I couldn't put down. After reading set on you by Amy lea I knew I needed to read this one. The hot and humorous proximity romance is exactly what I need and this book delivered soo well.

Thank you NetGalley for my advance copy of this book, I loved it! At first I wasn’t sure on it, but after around 15% I started to fall in love with the characters and their story. A really enjoyable read, it was the first book I have read by this author but it won’t be the last.

One of the easiest 5 star reviews of the year for me! …
Thank you so much Amy Lea and Penguin Random House for this kindly gifted eARC via Netgalley!
This book was sooo easy too read it helped me get out of a 2 week reading slump and I can honestly say, there aren’t many books I can sit and read for 3 hours straight til I finished it! I loved the Taylor Swift references as I adore her music, the Bookstagram!!!! It’s just so modern, so real and addictive! I haven’t read “Set on you” by Amy Lea but I will certainly read after reading this one! The writing style was one of the best I’ve read in a while, I’d compare it too the likes of Jenny Han’s and I love all of her books as well so that is saying something!! The ending- gahhh was amazing 🥰🤩🫶 love love love 💕💕💕

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin for an advanced copy in return for an honest review.
Exe’s and O’s is a heartwarming, funny, sweet romcom that I absolutely loved reading. It is the follow up to Set on You and follows crystals sister Tara as she revisits her relationships with her exes in order to try find an epic second chance romance. Tara is a relatable and likeable main character and it was really fun to see a bookstagrammer in a romcom. I also enjoyed the friendship and the slow burn build up of her relationship with Trevor.
This was such a fun, easy read which has one of the most satisfying endings that all of us romance readers will swoon over! Overall a fantastic romcom that I highly recommend.

Having your heart broken is always painful but having to work with your ex is torture. Having his new romance thrust into your face sets a chain of events. Moving in with a new flat mate and hunting down old boyfriends.
Follow the fun and missteps of the hunt.

thank you netgalley for providing this book to us! i really enjoyed the ‘second chance’ trope in this novel! even though the book was a tiny bit cringy (but what else can one expect from romance?), exes and oh’s was a love letter to romance novels! i felt such a connection to tara - she knows the expectations of book boyfriends and uses that in her life! i feel like a lot of us book readers do that! she embodies us bookstagrammers to perfection! this was such a cute read and i am so glad i had the pleasure to read this book!
while trevor is a little bit of a cliche, i still believe he is SUCH a good book boyfriend! i loved seeing their relationship unfold and watching his feelings develop for tara!
also, the sunshine x grumpy trope is one of my FAVOURITES! so if you love that, go ahead and read this!
i loved every minute of this book and i can’t wait to see what amy lea does next!
