A poignant collection of poetry celebrating and lamenting the author's life journey. I look forward to the audio and other performative reading of this poetry.

This collection of poetry is masterfully composed. An excellent technique to tell oneself how to become the real them is to write poetry. Real progress with a lot of emotion. I am glad that I picked up this book, and I hope everybody who has the chance will read it.

It will alter your perspective on life and widen your imagination to amazing possibilities. on your own and other people's perceptions of you. It will even alter the way you perceive those around you.
It provides excellent descriptions of difficult battles and teaches you how to accept both yourself as you are and the person you wish to be.

A next amazing element is the beautiful design of the book.

Let this book of poetry take you on a journey through self-exploration and healing. The author blends words with feelings to create an inspiring collection of poetry about freeing oneself and ones being to enhance life and humanity. The author's multicultural background shows throughout her poetry in such positive and uplifting ways. Great read.

Thank you NetGalley for the chance to o read this book!

For some reason this collection did not end up appealing to me. I understand there is an audio version which people really seem to love so I may end up purchasing that. In this form, I just didn't want to finish the book.

I do feel like I did myself a disservice by reading this with my eyes instead of finding some audio version of it. There were many poems that I had a hard time finding the rhythm of and often I could feel the spoken nature of the poetry but there was a lost element of it on the page. There was a lot said in the poetry though. I also enjoyed that there were many topics tackled since it kept the collection moving for me. I often find if a poetry collection sticks too close to a theme the poems end up feeling redundant, thankfully that didn't happen here.
