A fantastic book which provides useful information presented beautifully. A great way to engage with nature and the seasons, tracking the night sky throughout the year.

A perfect guide to have on the shelf to make use of in the warm summer evenings with friends. Full of fascinating insights and a book I will be going to the bookshelf to use many times!

This is such a beautiful book, a must in physical form, rather than digital. A great gift for those with even a passing interest in astronomy.
It is incredibly detailed and highlights important features, noteworthy dates and contains very useful diagrams and maps.
The month-by-month layout is very easy to understand and the language used is very clear.

As much I would love to say this book was amazing, I can’t do that. The ebook version showed all the pictures as black squares, which obviously made the whole experience quite boring, as I had only the text (sometimes badly edited in ebook version) to read. For someone who still finds the stargazing fascinating but insanely difficult, the lack of any ‘maps’ or pictures made reading this book almost impossible, as I couldn’t understand most of the stuff without the visual representation. I’m quite disappointed.

I will buy this book in physical form as I’m sure the author did an amazing job, it’s just the digital version of it was not great.

A really lovely book that I will keep looking back on through the year. It will ensure I don't miss out on the key astronomical events of the year. The calendars are clear, and the star maps, though seemingly a little complicated at first, quickly become intuitive.
Unfortunately, I found the kindle version of the book practically unusable (not sure if that's a publisher thing or a NetGalley thing, or even something specific to my Kindle/the Kindle app) because half the images didn't show up. It worked great in the PDF edition though. Also, an awful lot of technical vocab is introduced in the first few pages so it almost becomes overwhelming. Once you get through the introduction, though, it becomes much more accessible.

This is a beautiful book but it does not download well as an e-book in the current format. The diagrams and illustrations are split over pages and the accompanying text isn't where it should be. I would happily buy it as a hardback and have since added this book to my amazon wish list. It was a shame it didn't work out.

I am looking forward to spending more time stargazing next year and this looks to be a very useful guide to the night sky with tips on major events through the year, phases of the moon, meteor showers etc all listed. The photographs aren't displaying well on my Kindle so I have bought a print copy for my husband for Christmas (and he loves it! )

All in all, this feels like the perfect guide for interested amateur astronomers to learn more, and it's a good pocket sized guide you can take out with you, highly recommended.

This wouldn’t open right for me on kindle but thankfully it did on the NetGalley app. A beautiful book and brilliant premise but totally not for me. I like to consider myself an intelligent person, and whilst I don’t know a lot about the night sky and constellations I thought I would understand it still and it would be a nice opportunity to learn more. I was wrong. I didn’t know what this was talking about overall left me a little disheartened and deflated.

Not for me but I’m sure for individuals who understand the jargon it will be a great book.

A supporto dei vari argomenti ci sono delle illustrazioni così da rendere di più facile comprensione le cose a chi non ne ha dimestichezza.

Definitely a great companion for anybody wanting to really get their teeth into stargazing and observing the night sky. I am a complete novice at this area and was still able to find the book interesting and useful and easy enough to follow along with what was going on. However I also feel it seems complex enough that it will still be a very useful tool for more experienced stargazers too!

A thourough and easy book about the night sky for next year. I enjoyed the maps and charts, even though some of them were a tad to complicated for me. Beautiful illustrations as well.

I am unsure why but my ebook had so many poor quality photos which supposed to be pictures if stars where for me they all were a blur or gray squares. I accessed on NetGalley app and had the same issue therefore I am unsure if this book is advised to be purchased on e-version and best to buy a hard copy maybe.
I found information interesting, especially what is happening each month. Lots of details yet very often I found myself lost and overwhelmed with the information. I was hoping it would be an interesting somewhat inspiring read but it was more factual and technical.

This is a book I see regularly and I always think how beautiful the cover art is, always being a little intimidated to pick it up because of how limited my knowledge of astronomy is.

However, I have received a copy in return for an honest review and I can now say that I shouldn't have felt worried about reading it because while it is absolutely packed with information, it's also explained clearly and while I am in no way an expert after reading this, I now have a basic knowledge to grow from over the next year as I follow various paths of things in the night sky.

It also means I shall continue to buy further copies of this book each year.

A beautiful guide of what to expect to see within the night sky in 2023. I think it's amazing that it can be used anywhere in the world, it'd be a great present to get for someone who travels a lot, you could certainly take it away with you!

I love the fact this book makes it so easy for people to just read and learn about the night sky and use their map to find the secret patterns in our stars! There is so much knowledge that has gone into this book and so much work too from diagrams to knowledge and information, the important dates on each month on what to look for, I just love that. I also really like how everything is explained and it's so easy to understand, it makes it so much more easy and accessible for beginners to join in!

I would highly recommend . Not only is it informative but it is truly stunning to look at!

A beautiful and informative guide to the night sky. This book is abundant with detailed illustrations, with just enough information to give you a solid understanding but not so much that it becomes overwhelming. The book is broken down month by month with key sky events, and information specific to different longitudes - so it’s useful to all who might pick it up and wherever they may take it.

This book is jam packed with info for budding astrologers.

The intro itself has a wealth of information. Then the book is divided in the months of the year, where it gives a breakdown of what to look for in the night sky in 2023.

This book is a fantastic resource and user friendly. What is also great is, it is suitable for you where ever you live in the world.

This compact book is full of month by month information about our sky at night. The introduction explains it aims "to help people find their way around the night sky and to understand what is visible every month from anywhere in the world" and it definitely achieves this. Along with lots of maps, diagrams and charts it illustrates and explains the many aspects of our night sky. It highlights the major events in 2023 and explains where to go for the best dark sky sites. It would make a wonderful annual gift for people who are fascinated by the sky at night. I love an Almanac and this one did not disappoint. I will need to buy the hardcopy of this publication as it really contained such useful month by month details of the night sky events. Great if like me you want to learn more about the constellations.
