Even though I have enjoyed this read I think I wasn't the right reading audience for it. I have enjoyed the story though although the characters seemed a bit flat at times. I'll definitely will keep my put on the author in the future if I see anything that more suitable to my reading.

This was a really beautiful story told in prose, I had so much fun with this one and would highly recommend.

'The Bones of Me' is written mainly in prose and I absolutely love this writing style. It's rare to see but everytime I see it, I just instantly know I'll love the book. This is a cracking read. I liked how it reflected a very working class family focusing on how they balanced the unfairness they faced against their own aspirations

I thought this book was very interesting and I enjoyed how the book was written in both prose and poetry. The book was definitely more focused on the mystery behind Molly’s brother disappearance, but I loved how she didn’t give up hope and she went looking for her brother and for justice for him. I liked the boxing aspect though I do feel it was a secondary plot and the main focus was her brother. The ending was satisfying! For a very fast paced book I do feel like everything was resolved which was great. I am giving this book 3 stars as I would’ve loved some more depth to the plot and the characters as we don’t really get much more of their personality other than who they’re involved with and what their hobby is, for example the dad only really had one personality trait and that was that he was mean and angry.

A book told in verse and prose, this book tells the story of the world of amateur boxing set in East London. Living on a council estate in East London has big worries and for Molly it hasn’t been easy. But her dream has always been to be a boxer, just like her older brother. Everything changes when Denny goes missing and everyone wants to find him for the wrong reasons. Molly decides she’s going to continue training as well and find the truth out about why Denny is missing.

Thank you Kel Duckhouse and Netgalley for my copy of this book. I was so drawn in by the cover and really interested in the boxing storyline as I don’t read about boxing much. It was a really quick read and I loved Molly, she was so smart and clueless at the same time. The story was really moving, the connection between Molly and all the other characters was so important and think this is what really made me love this book. I loved both the writing style and the storyline! Would love to read more books like this

Overall I thought this book was actually really really good Online for the main character she was relatable and the setting and the way the main character spoke told a lot about how the author learned of lower class areas as someone who comes from this type of neighbourhood I think that it was depicted very very well while also not going into too much detail of smaller things that weren’t necessary for the plot I love the way it had some mystery there was a little bit of friendly romance and also how it came together in the end it was absolutely amazing and I will be really more of a walk when she publishes it

Molly is a very endearing character. She is very honest about how she feels, whether it be the anger due to struggles of her and her family since they are poor, or the pride she feels being born with a cockney background. She is also someone with a clear goal (of becoming a boxer) and is extremely dedicated to it.

The book is written in prose and is done really well. This is definitely a book I see myself rereading and I look forward to more books by the author, especially if it is poetry.

Thank you to Nobrow Ltd, Flying Eye Books, the author and NetGalley for providing me with the e-ARC of this book.

I thought this was brilliantly done. You absolutely get Molly's frustration with the world she lives in and the mix of pride in her cockney background but anger at being poor and struggling to afford the basics. I really liked the boxing element to the story too.

This book had such charm and I felt attached to the characters and the way the story unfolded. Molly is a fabulous and determined protagonist who just wants to be a boxer and she was just a joy to read.
