I love how Heidi Swain always has humanitarian and inclusive themes in her stories and A Christmas Celebration is no different.

Paige falls into the role of covering Anna’s volunteering. The help she gives others impacts on her own emotional wellbeing (there’s a lesson there ). Albert’s vulnerability and pride is a stumbling block at first but Paige’s persistence and not giving up on him brings so many rewards for them both. Their friendship is heart-warming and is a reflection of the true Christmas spirit (in my opinion).

The banter and friendships at Wynthorpe Hall and the village pull you into this community. And as with all communities there is conflict …

A couple of things I wanted to mention that I loved:
• It was great to find out how hugely popular Fliss and Eli’s supper club was 
• seeing a shout out to other author’s Christmas novels – generous and highlights on the whole, the writing community

My take away from A Christmas Celebration is that you’re never too old to grab hold of what you should really be doing and it’s never too late to break away from family expectations.

This is such an uplifting and feel good story. Perfect for any time of the year.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Another brilliant book from Heidi.

We return to Wynthorpe Hall. Paige returns to Wynthorpe hall in the run up to Christmas. She is only staying for a short amount of time to find her next path. Whilst on her way from helping out with shopping and deliveries she stumbles upon an isolated cottage and it’s resident Albert. She befriends Albert and finds herself falling back into the village life. She then meets brooding Brodie, can Brodie and Albert persuade to stay in the village or will she keep to her original plan.

Heidi’s books are, without fail, spot on. She writes both Summer and Winter novels but the latter are just that extra bit special. This year we’re going back to Wynthorpe Hall for the third time and what a treat it is to be meeting old characters and discovering new. Full of festivities, emotions, romance and a beautiful setting, this is such a great book to curl up and read this Winter.

Not only does Heidi address festive-ness, Winter, and all things cosy, she brings in real life issues and never avoids tackling those deep and difficult topics. As with all of her books, this is no exception to careful research and planning to bring reality to her characters lives. Wynthorpe Hall is fast becoming one of my favourite fictional locations too!

What could be better than a Connelly Christmas? Absolutely nothing is the answer! Paige turns up at the hall to help out her family having just lost everything familiar. I just knew that this would be the start of something special as a Christmas in Wynthorpe is the most magical time and characters are hands down my favourite fictional family by far!
I loved following Paige's story, but what made this extra special is the new characters introduced into the series, who went on their own journeys alongside the original group. It made for a heart-warming and wonderfully festive read that drew you in and made you not want to leave.
I adored Albert's character and the unlikely friendship that blossomed between him and Paige that changes their lives forever.
It's humorous, humbling and a captivating Christmas read, that has left me excited for Christmas and spending time with those I love. Another fabulous instalment from the very talented Heidi Swain.

Great festive read.

Paige is at Wynthorpe Hall for Christmas following an incident in her career that has bought her back from overseas. Brodie is a grump when she first meets him, but he has his own issues. Will their new mutual friend Albert bring them both together?

Heidi Swain is one of my favourite authors in this genre, so I had high expectations for this book, and she did not disappoint. This book is yet another brilliant read, featuring a very interesting storyline full of fully-formed and interesting characters.
A real heart-warming story between Paige & Albert, alongside a heart-pumping romance between Paige & the brooding Brodie.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it held my interest from start to finish and had me reading well beyond the time I should have put the book down. Touching storylines for both Paige & Albert made it even better than just a standard romance - although the blossoming romance between Paige & Brodie is wonderful. . Once again, a fantastic book from Heidi Swain. A perfect winter read for Christmas.

There's something so very special about a Heidi Swain novel so I was super excited to read A Christmas Celebration, and it completely exceeded all of my expectations. Even though it's only October it made me feel rather festive, but more than that, it warmed my heart and filled me with goodwill.

I totally identified and emphasised with the main character of Paige. She made a mistake in her job that she is totally beating herself up about and she keeps imagining the worst that could have happened, even though it didn't. Paige is inflicted with that old 'what if...' that goes round and round inside your head and causes nightmares.

A visit to Paige's godparents is just the tonic that she needs and it seems like Paige has turned up at just the right time - with so much to do in the run up to Christmas, Paige is kept very busy and has little time to dwell on what might have been. I couldn't help but be infected by some of Angus' enthusiasm for all things festive, especially from Heidi Swain's wonderful, magical descriptions of Wynthorpe Hall and the beautiful village of Wynbridge.

I was completely enthralled by the two men who enter Paige's life. I could have reached into the book and given a huge hug to octogenarian Albert and reading about his lonely existence brought a tear to my eye. It was so lovely to see the community spirit in Wynbridge that reaches out to people living alone in isolated homes. Albert may have started my heart warming but Paige's love interest Brodie had my heart racing. I mean, who doesn't love a Mr Darcy type character in a novel?

I love how Heidi Swain's novels are standalone but often reference her earlier novels and I loved the mentions of the Cherry Tree Cafe and Skylark Farm, even though it has been many years since I read about them. I felt like I was meeting old friends again and seeing how well they were doing added another couple of degrees on my heart temperature scale.

Completely heartwarming and gloriously festive, A Christmas Celebration is simply fabulous. I really hope I get time to read it again nearer Christmas as it's the perfect book to read during the festive season. Very highly recommended.

I received an ARC to read and review for the blog tour; this is my honest and unbiased opinion.

I love Heidi Swain's books, especially her Christmas books. This book takes us back to Wynthorpe Hall, where we catch up with some old characters We also meet some new characters Paige and Brodie as well as Albert and Alice. This can also be read as a standalone novel
This is a gorgeous, festive and heartwarming book. I think that it is my favourite Heidi Swain book. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to read her next book.

It took me sometime to decide how to rate this book and I'm truthfully sorry to have to say it wasn't for me or, at least, it wasn't for me in this particular time of my life. Unfortunately, I'm very cynical of lately, and this book, though easy to read and heartwarming, was a little bit too on the "saccharine" side for my liking. I'm particularly sorry because I've read other books by the same author and loved them.
I truly loved Albert though, reminded me of my lovely Grandad!

this is a pleasant festive return to Wynthorpe Hall. Paige, goddaughter of the Connelly’s, has returned from volunteering as an aide worker in Jordan after an unfortunate incident. Taking over the cleaning of the Hall and volunteer delivery driver helps to put things into perspective. Whilst delivering she meets and helps several members of the community and also bumps into newcomer Brodie.
This is a charming read full of Christmas cheer, friendly characters and a great loveable dog!
Anyone who thinks that change is something to be afraid of should read this and embrace moving on.

What a delightful christmassy read!
This is my second time reading a Heidi Swain book and they are just delightful. I really want to dive into the rest of her books in 2023 as they’re such lovely, comforting reads.
This book was great and I loved all the characters. Paige’s blossoming friendship with Albert and his growing confidence in reconnecting with people was my favourite part about this book! Although, all the other little plot lines were fabulous too.
It felt so christmassy and definitely got me in the Christmas spirit! I would love to visit the hall for the winter wonderland festival and go on a sleigh ride - it sounds amazing! definitely recommend this one!

Thank you to Simon & schuster and Netgalley for this E-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into this, I didn’t realise it was part of a series, so perhaps I should read the others first.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

This book was set in the beautiful fictional town of Wynthorpe and once again Wynthorpe hall. It was so great to revisit this place and it meant the book certainly delivered on the warm, cosy, festive feelings i hoped to have this time of year. However, I have previously read a few of Swain's books before, and i must admit i wasn't hooked on this book as i had been others. Some of the relationships in the book (Paige and Brodie) just did not feel believable to me, and neither did i want them to be. It felt forced and i am of the opinion the book could have been more enjoyable without forcing a romantic storyline; sometimes it just isnt needed!

Heidi Swain and Christmas go hand in hand for me. It's a sheer delight to return to Wynbridge and Wynthorpe Hall and catch up with all its wonderful inhabitants. An absolutely outstanding book full of festive cheer but also some very touching and moving elements. Definitely a must read for all Heidi fans and for anyone wanting to lose themselves in a heartwarming book.

Heartwarming and charming, just a good book to curl up in a cosy chair and read while the cold weather blows around outside.
I like to read first person and really enjoyed this.

I loved all the Christmasy things in this book. I wish I could be there with Angus and experience his positive energy and see the winter wonderland.
Paige and Brodie, and indeed Albert were great characters and I loved how they all helped each other heal and grow.

A wonderful Christmas read.

Another installment set in the lovely Wynbridge and Wynthorpe Hall.

Paige has arrived back in the UK after working as a charity worker in war torn countries.
There was an incident that happened that made her come back, along with funding issues.

Once home she ends up at Wynthorpe Hall, home to her godparents, and gets caught up in helping with the Christmas festivities, along with helping out with deliveries of food etc. to older people living in the local community who can't get into town and are quite isolated. Whilst doing this she accidentally meets Albert, a bit of a cantankerous and lonely old man, who she helps to slowly come out of his shell.

We also meet Brodie, recently moved to Wynbridge, who is another brooding and grumpy character initially. Paige did annoy me a bit jumping to conclusions about Brodie, because of his previous job, but they sorted themselves out eventually.

A lovely festive story with lots of changes, laughs, dramas and a few secrets, but of course a lovely happy ending. Very enjoyable.
