I have read and loved every one of Heidi Swain's books and this one was just perfect for a cosy evening curled up in front of a warm fire or at least wrapped up in a cosy blanket with a candle as I'm refusing to put put my heating on this winter.

A Christmas Celebration is about Paige who comes back very unsure of herself after volunteering in a refugee camp. She stays with her Godfather Angus and his family at the wonderful Wynthorpe Hall. Whilst there she helps to earn her keep by volunteering to make deliveries to elderly and isolated people.
One day she walks into an art class and notices everyone looking in awe at a man that she can only see the back of and when he turns round she can see why everyone was enamoured with him. - I must point out that at this stage I thought he was naked and posing for the art class but it turns out he was fully dressed so I did chuckle to myself at that point. Anyway the handsome young man in question is Brodie who seems to have a few problems to deal with and isn't always happy to see Paige.
However they are often thrown in each others' paths so they have to learn to get on with each other.

Paige makes a discovery one evening when she gets lost and finds a lovely old man called Albert who is very much in need of help but very reluctant to accept any. The story follows the relationships between Paige and Albert and Paige and Brodie and I'm so pleased to say that there was a happy ending all round.
It was lovely visiting the Winter Wonderland once more and the Cherry Tree Cafe and seeing how many of the previous characters from Heidi's books are getting on. I really enjoyed the relationship between Archie and Paige as he remembered her as a little girl and still teased her mercilessly and I think that really helped Paige to feel at home straight awayand added another dimension to her character.

This book is as comforting as one of Heidi's delicious winter crumbles covered in custard, it had just about everything you could want from a christmas romance, a love story with a handsome hunk, special friendships, family and a real sense of community with everyone pulling together to make the perfect Christmas celebration.

I loved it and it's really put me in a christmassy mood.

Another wonderful book from Heidi swain. Paige is the main character and you love her immediately, she comes to town with a secret and immerses herself in to helping others. Brodie is tall dark and handsome and has a secret too. Watching the love story unfold and the lovable usual characters is just lovely!

It wouldn't be Christmas without a trip to Wynthorpe Hall easily one of the most festive places in fiction. I absolutely adored catching up with the Connelly clan, seeing what ideas Angus may have to make Christmas even better than the previous amazing years, and to meet some wonderful new characters too.

I also loved every single second of this lovely heart warming book, that I just couldn't get enough of. I love this author so much and she always writes such marvellous stories, that I have to keep coming back for more and more.

I especially loved getting to know Albert, and seeing him come out of his shell, as Paige gets to know him. I enjoyed Paige getting to know Brodie too, and discovering just what makes both of these men tick.

And Paige on Anna's delivery rounds to the community, is enough to bring a smile to your face, and also gets us to meet another rather interesting character.

I could picture so much of this so vividly, due to Heidi Swains wonderful descriptions and felt as though I was at the Hall, alongside the characters.

It's just a gloriously warm and wonderful festive story that I heartily recommend.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

We are back at Wynthorpe hall, and I am so excited! Yet another fantastic story from Heidi Swain. So fabulously heartwarming and festive.

What I really love about Heidis books are that the characters all feel real with real life problems and obstacles to overcome.

Highly recommend this festive season especially with a great big glass of mulled wine!

She’s done it again! It’s no secret how much I love a Heidi Swain book, and her Christmas ones hold a special place in my heart, and this one lives up to every expectation. Full of festive cheer and wonderful characters as we return to Wynthorpe Hall.

In the A Christmas Celebration we are introduced to Paige, who unexpectedly finds herself visiting Wynthorpe Hall, a place she used to visit in her childhood, where she discovers things are a little different than before. In true Wynthorpe Hall style she gets stuck in and helps out with delivering shopping and library books to residents when she accidently discovers Albert, an elderly, isolated and grumpy man. Realising that Albert needs more help than he thinks, she introduces herself into his life. Then there’s Brodie, why does she keep bumping into him?

Despite this story returning to Wynthorpe Hall and Wynbridge the lead characters in this book, Paige, Albert and Brodie, are all new. Therefore this is easily read as a standalone book, however I urge you to read all the others. We get to see the return of many of the Wynbridge and Wynthorpe Hall residents, and it’s lovely to catch up with them.

I loved the relationship between Paige and Albert, how she is able to work her way into his life, despite his reluctance, and then they actually are a help to each other to deal with the things that are holding them back. And the same goes for Brodie too.

I urge you to put this on your Christmas TBRs!

Thank you once again Heidi for another brilliant read, I can’t wait for the next one.

This is such a cosy and sweet series that always makes me smile and wish I keep on reading as I never want to leave the characters and this places.
Another excellent addition, another festive and heartwarming story.
Heidi Swain writes lovely stories, realistic characters and always does an excellent job in developing emotionally charged plot.
Another winner I loved.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Omg what a fantastic first Christmas book of the year to read. I have to say since I have first discovered @heidi_swain I have never been disappointed and I love my trips in these books.

This one takes you back to Wynthrope Hall and what an amazing trip it was back with the original Mr claus Angus and the gang this time we also meet paige his goddaughter and Albert who I just adorable and brodie. I loved Albert and how his life just turned around after meeting paige its sad to think this is how some people live their life.

I'm gutted as now my time in Wynthrope is over and can not wait for the next book. If you have not discovered these books please give them a go you will not regret it a perfect Christmas read.

Heidi Swains books were once described to me as a hug in book form and this one is no exception, I was a little unsure about reading a Christmas book at the start of October but it was perfect and I’m now ready for all things Christmassy.
This was a welcome return to Wynthorpe Hall with its range of characters and some lovely new ones too.
Panic, mistakes, loneliness and friendship are key themes along with the holly and mistletoe.
Highly recommend and thank you for letting me read this book.

For this Christmas, I am back at Wynthorpe Hall. Famed for it’s Winter Wonderland and all things Christmas, I am invited back into the Hall by Catherine and Angus.

Noted for all the waifs and strays they pick up along the way, this book is no exception. This time it is Paige, Catherine and Angus’ goddaughter who seeks solace for a few weeks, after returning from humanitarian work abroad. She remembers the place from her childhood and it seems like the perfect place to stay to recover and heal from what she has seen. Paige needs to find a new work passion but needs time to regroup first.

However Paige finds herself drawn into the comings and goings of the hall as well as the village. Helping people is what Paige is good at. Getting lost one night and needing directions back to the hall, she stumbles across what looks like a derelict cottage. but it is occupied.

Albert is the elderly resident and he is less than welcoming to Paige when they first meet. However, Paige is not to be put off by someone so curmudgeonly and clearly in need of some magic in his life.

The trouble is Paige also keeps coming across another curmudgeonly character, Brodie. Their paths keep crossing and when Brodie appears to be assisting her godfather in something secret, Paige is keen to find out the truth to make sure nothing is going to ruin this Christmas.

If Paige can help all these people she keeps coming across, will it eventually heal her from the wounds that she has brought back with her? Is a full on Christmas the best way to go about it? As the family start to drift back to Wynthorpe Hall and the Winter Wonderland kicks in for the locals, has Paige found her new role a lot closer home than she thought?

As always, fans of Heidi Swain like myself will be thrilled to return to a place you are familiar with. Plenty of characters from previous novels make cameo appearances rightly and give you a hint of their stories if you have never read them. If you have it is great to see everyone living their lives long after you have read those books. That is what keeps me coming back to this author time and time again.

If you want a full on Christmas without all the stress and hassle then reading a Heidi Swain Christmas novel is the best way to go about it. Pure festive fun.

A lovely heartwarming story about unlikely friendships. I absolutely loved Albert and the whole family at the hall of course and the setting sounded idyllic. Main character Paige seemed lovely as well. Another fabulous novel by Heidi Swain.

I’m not sure it’s ever really Christmas without a Heidi Swain romance to really get you in the mood for the festivities. A Christmas Celebration actually begins in November, when Paige arrives back in the UK following her departure from her role as an aid worker in Jordan. She heads to Wynthorpe Hall to stay with her godparents Angus and Catherine, in order to help them out while there are reduced numbers of helpers for their Christmas preparations.

Although it is a location we’ve seen before within Heidi’s fictional world, and some old familiar characters are around, the main characters in this story, Paige, Brodie and Albert, are new. It would definitely work as a standalone, but honestly, if you read this and love it as much as I did, you’ll wish that you had read the other books in the series first!

I loved Paige as a character. She’s clearly traumatised by something in her past, and she needs the time and the right location to find herself again. As she settles into family and village life, she finds that the distraction of helping others actually goes some way to helping herself too. When her path crosses the brooding Darcy-esque character of Brodie, it’s clear that sparks are going to fly, and I don’t think I blame her, a brooding hottie, what’s not to love?

The relationship I loved the most in this heart-warming story was the relationship between Paige and Albert. I adored the way that Paige was able to gradually break down his defences which enabled him to set aside his pride and allow her to help him. Albert was such a cute old man, once his defences were down, and it was lovely to see him step outside his own four walls after a considerable time where he could not face leaving his home.

A Christmas at Wynthorpe Hall isn’t a Christmas without their Winter Wonderland celebrations, which bring the people of Wynbridge and the surrounding areas to the Hall to celebrate the festive season in the grounds around the big house.

A Christmas Celebration by Heidi Swain has got me craving twinkly lights, mistletoe and mince pies right now!

I've been a fan of Heidi Swain's for some time now so I was thrilled to read a festive story set at my favourite fictional town of Wynthorpe. It was lovely to revisit Wynthorpe Hall, the Winter Wonderland and some familiar characters.

This is a heart warming story of friendship, community and coming together to celebrate the festive season. I loved the relationship between Paige and the elderly chap, Albert. Paige meets Albert by accident while lost on her delivery run. I didn't really gel with grumpy Brodie. The story would have been better without the romantic relationship this time.

Goodreads informs me this is Heidi's 9th book set in Wynbridge (which astonished me, how time flies!), I'm happy to confirm it was just as engaging and enjoyable as the preceding 8!

This book focuses on Paige, a thoroughly likeable character, who returns to her godparents home at Wynthorpe Hall to assist in the run up to Christmas - making friends along the way of course. I adored Albert and the relationship Paige had with him, it reminded me of a similar relationship from A Taste of Home (one of my fave Heidi reads!).

I didn't find the story overly festive, but that's not a bad thing, and it's the perfect book to read leading up to the festive season snuggled under a blanket with a hot chocolate (and snacks) whilst the evenings are dark.

A big part of my enjoyment was just how many previous characters we came across, even just snippets, and it's made me want to re-read some earlier books now. I found it very clever how Heidi manages to give them a small role, we visited the Cherry Tree Cafe and the vets (Will from Coming Home to Cuckoo Cottage) for example. However in saying that, this can be read as a standalone.

Overall, I highly recommend!

Thank you #SimonandSchuster for letting me read this ARC

Wow, how I love Heidi Swain, her books are like coming home to a warm hug and a cosy visit with old friends, with the added bonus of making new friends to boot. Paige returns home from Volunteering in Jordan and is led to Wynthorpe Hall. It's so good to be back there for Christmas. I love the past sentiments that are dropped in for comfort such as 'Guts for Garters, Cotton Hankies, I really cherish these in Heidi's books. That fabulous Christmas vibe and the love and community spirit, A Christmas Celebration is all those things, I also love that Molly shares more of her spirituality. Heidi has nailed it again and I can see why she is a Sunday Times Best Seller. I didn't want to leave the story behind. Thankfully, there will be an audible to accompany the book. 5 magnificent STARS.

Good read. Great characters, enjoyed the setting, lots of side stories weaved into it and it flowed really well. A good read for a rubbish day. Will make you feel better!

A feelgood tale of friendship, family and letting people in.
I enjoyed reading this book as it had a traditional christmas feel to it and in our modern world it would be nice to think that places like Wynthorpe Hall and its community still exist. A great Christmas read and I liked the nod to other authors in the tale too, a nice touch.

When a rash decision sets the course of Paige’s life on a different route, she finds herself back at Wynthorpe Hall, but the place she knew as a child has changed beyond recognition. Determined not to stay too long Paige soon finds herself embroiled in local life.

One night whilst driving home, lost amongst the country roads Paige stumbles across an isolated cottage and meets Albert, it’s elderly resident. Soon, Paige realises there is more to Albert than meets the eye, and the same can be said for Brodie, another village newcomer that she can’t seem to stop crossing paths with.

All three have a secret and a desire to keep themselves hidden from the world, but with Christmas fast approaching is that really the best way to spend the festive season.

I always love to journey to Wynbridge and Wynthorpe Hall, especially for Christmas time. It was wonderful to be back at the Hall with the Connelly family. Angus is always guaranteed to have me laughing and feeling festive.

The only slight snag for me was that I felt I didn’t really gel with this story as I have with all of Swain’s previous works. The relationship between Paige and Brodie just didn’t ring true for me and I kind of wish there had been no love story for the protagonist. The relationship between Paige and Albert was much more believable and wholesome, and I would have been happy for this to be the only theme for the book.

That aside, it’s always welcoming to sink into a Heidi Swain novel and return to places and people that are as familiar now as friends. I would recommend this as a cosy Christmas reads and imagine it’ll be stuffing stockings up and down the country by the 24th of December.

Paige is working for an aid agency in Jordan when a mistake that she makes means that she runs away to her Godparents in Wynbridge Hall to recover. There she is drawn into local life, helping out with deliveries, where she meets a reclusive owner in a neglected cottage. She starts coming out of herself when she also meets Brodie, who updates and intrigues her in equal measures.
Reading a Heidi Swain book is like being enveloped in a warm hug and this is particularly true of this one. The way that Paige gradually recovers from her experience whilst also helping others with their problems is heartwarming. I would certainly love to love in such a community, but it equally reminds me that this can also happen in real life if you let it. Overall an ideal book to lose yourself in, making you feel better in yourself in these troubled times.
I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley, however this did not influence my review of the book.

I loved this book and what it had to say about making a change in your life and about the importance of community. I loved being back at Wynthorpe Hall and loved the new characters. It isn't Christmas without a Heidi read.

A lovely warmhearted Christmas read, I really enjoyed being back in Wynbridge its like visiting old friends and enjoyed the story. When Paige returns from Jordan where she worked for a charity she is still upset over a mistake she made but after deciding to stay over Christmas she hopes to come to terms with what happened. As she helps out in the community she gets close to Albert a man in his eighties who reluctantly accepts her help and I absolutely loved their relationship and she also meets Brodie who even though they get off to a rocky start they are drawn to one another. With many festive activities throughout, the story its full of warmth, charm and Christmas cheer everything you love about the season
