A sweet romance in a close proximity situation. An EXCELLENT cast of characters that was really fun to spend time with. And delightful romance that you couldn’t help but root for

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

I absolutely love the cover and the tropes are some of my favorites. Friends to lovers AND fake boyfriend is a perfect combo. I can't wait to read more from Harte.

A very cute fake-dating book! Loved the characters and their connection was very swoon-worthy. Enjoyed the ending too, can't wait to read more from the author.

Not going to lie, I’ve loved Marie Harte since her Body Shop series. For me, this book packed the classic, spicy, romcom vibe she always delivers. However, the only point of contention I had here (along with her other books), is the miscommunication, which often results in a muddled together ending.

However, if you’re looking for something that’s spicy, fun, and the “miscommunication trope” isn’t a deal breaker for you, you’ll love this.

This one was sweet and fast paced but unfortunately didn't stick out to me in any particular way. I think there's room for growth with the writing and what to focus on/what not to focus on. There were plenty of things I wished were expanded upon and things that were too long. I also didn't buy their "fake dating" scheme. They were only "fake dating" because they didn't want to date date? it was a little flat for me. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes ever and so it better be believable and electric.

This was a cute one. I liked it. Will I read it ever again?! Really do not think so. An average 3 stars read for me

This is a difficult review for me, I absolutely despise DNF’ing and will preserver as much as possible however this one though I just could not get into from the beginning. I found the characters unengaging and the story a bit bland.

I just could not connect with the story or main characters. Seemed to forced. Thank you for this arc in an exchange for an honest review.

I got an arc from netgalley and was thrilled. It's similar to others on the shelves yet still so different. I love that the apartment complex is like a big family and everyone looks out for one another. Enjoy the fake dating and friends to lover. It's sweet, sexy and fun

Thanks to Netgalley and No Box Books for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I do not enjoy the author’s writing style. The story seems rushed and the intimacy forced between the characters in their interactions after they literally just met.

It feels like the story began several chapters ago but it was removed and now we’re jumping straight into the story with no prologue or explanation. It doesn’t give me time to become invested in these characters at all or root for them.

The part where an eighth grade boy asks out a 29 year old woman was too squicky for me. I mean I know it does happen in real life but it’s gross in real life or in fiction.

The characters family members are way too involved in each other’s lives. I mean we all have meddling and obnoxious family members but the family members of both MC’s meddle too much in their lives.

This turns into a fake boyfriend scheme when Justine decides to bring Xavier to her sister’s wedding instead of the random man from her dads work that her mom invited on her behalf so there would be even numbers of attendees. When Justine goes to tell Xavier all of a sudden the two are making out and headed to the bedroom. The love scene descriptions didn’t fit the tone of the book and felt abrupt and out of place which was off putting along with the porny dialogue. It was too raunchy for what was supposed to be a romance and would have fit better in a story with an erotic tone. A fade to black would have sufficed.

The copy I read which was an unedited ARC still had a lot of spelling errors which were jarring and took me away from the story.

Overall: This book was not for me.

This was such an easy ready, it had friends to lovers, and the fake dating trope. The storyline and characters were amazing. It was a quick, easy read and I couldn't put it down.

The spicy scenes were great, although (my preference as a reader) the spice scene came far too early in the plotline, I do think it could have been prolonged till a bit later on in the book to build the suspense a bit more. But, that being said, it was a great book overall.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I love friends to lovers and fake dating, and this one managed to squeeze in both of those tropes brilliantly. Don’t be fooled by the gorgeous cover, because the story is just as amazing.

It’s just the perfect, quick, light reading cutsie love story, it’s definitely worth reading! .

I went into this book with such high hopes, but had to give up on it after only a few chapters, I couldn't stand the main characters, and couldn't connect with them.

This was a cute story with colourful characters that were fun to read! I found myself a little bit confused in the beginning of the story and found it hard to follow but a few chapters in and that was remedied in no time. Justine and Xavier were a cute match and they had some very hot and spicy scenes. Though I found their spicy times a little rushed (I thought they happened very quickly for just having met), I still enjoyed reading the development of their relationship and the progression from friends with benefits to more. Overall 4 stars!

Book Review: Love in 3D by Marie Harte
Stars: ⭐⭐⭐
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
This review may contain minor spoilers.

Love in 3D is a muli-POV story that follows Justine as she is temporarily living in her aunt's apartment, 3D. Justine has recently broken up with her previous LTR and is looking for a fresh start without the stress of dating. Shortly after moving in she meets Xavier, the also recently single neighbor on the floor below her. They quickly become friends, and decide to enlist the others help in a fake dating scheme. This book contains friends-to-lovers and fake dating

The story was sweet and overall I enjoyed the read. I really loved the dynamic between Justine and Xavier. Their scenes were fun and playful and it gets you rooting for them from the start. They are both the force the other needs in their life - whether it's calming when the other is stressed or encouraging when they need someone in their corner. They both were on each other's team first before becoming romantically involved.

My biggest annoyance in this read was the missed potentials. Many things were introduced that were never relevant to the story. In the premise it is stated that Xavier is helping with a love advice column, but I honestly think that could have been omitted completely and the story wouldn't have changed. At one point I thought it was going to be brought in where he was answering her love questions…but we got nothing there.

The next book will be Justine's best friend Katie's story, and after the epilogue I'm very curious to see where it goes! There are other characters that are (hopefully) getting books of their own, and I did appreciate the set up for each of their stories. But some of the side characters and the scenes where they were involved fell flat. I didn't get pulled in or invested and felt bored during them.

I received an eARC from NetGalley & Victory Editing for my honest review.

A fun story full of banter and witty unique characters.
The gradual relationship build between the main couple as well as between the main female character and the other tenants of the apartment block made it easier to get to know them and made them all the more likeable.
It didn't feel unrealistic or like the relationship was rushed as sometimes it can with romance novels. This was a cute story with colourful characters that were fun to read!

Sweet story but it didn't really gel with me unfortunately.
Romance readers will enjoy this, but not a stand out for me. It took me awhile to get through it.

This was my favorite read for the month of October! Super spicy but still with a good story line. This book is perfect for someone looking for a fun and quick read when they get into a book rut to get them out of that rut!
