Another in the Mermaids point series and it does say at the end that this is the last book, I really hope that this isn't true as it is a great series. Please Sarah write more about this special place and the characters. Worth 5 stars and I recommend this.

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this ARC

At first it was a slow start, but that was probably down to me not being able to do a re read of the previous books before i started.. But within a few pages i absolutely fell in love with this book. Everything about it was just what i loved. Christmas? CHECK. A cheeky hero? CHECK. A heroine that needs someone to guide her in right direction? CHECK. Definitely going to be a re read with the others in the series, just hate that it was the last one as i'm going to miss everyone at Mermaids Point

As the title says we are back in Mermaids point again. This time Nick is one of the main characters along with Aurora who he had a brief fling with in one of the earlier books but never forgot about. When she asks for his help he doesn't hesitate although his family aren't too sure it's a good idea after last time
Will he get his happy ever after ?
Other characters from the previous books also appear in this one but it can be read alone,
A fab read

The story
Nick met singer Aurora months ago when she was hiding out in Mermaids Point after a career break. He hasn’t heard from her since, but his heart was hers nonetheless. When she calls 18 months later, asking if he will pick her up at the airport and pretend to be her boyfriend, he doesn’t hesitate. It’s the chance he has been waiting for, but can the two make it work now?

My thoughts
This is book 4 in this series, not counting book 2.5, a novella, and I have absolutely loved them all. There is love and romance but it’s all behind closed doors, surrounded by the support of the extremely close knit seaside community in Mermaids Point. You could read these books out of order but they are best read as a series. Nick has been waiting patiently for his HEA, while his sister, aunt and friend Ivy gets her happy ending. He is lonely and misses Aurora from the short time they had together. I loved how the fit so easily into each other’s lives in his heartwarming close to the series. It’s a goodie ❤️

Happy Endings at Mermaid’s Point is the 5th and final book in the Mermaid’s Point series, this time following Aurora Storm and Nick’s relationship. Aurora is a pop star in the midst of a scandal and she calls upon village resident Nick to help her to hide from the press after their brief fling in an earlier book in the series. Nick is still smitten with her and comes to her rescue.

As always with Sarah’s books, the characters are likeable, the story is sweet and we revisit characters from earlier books in the series. It’s an enjoyable read, with the only flaw for me being that nothing much happens to the characters beyond the slight issue of the scandal. Still it’s worth a read, particularly if like me you’ve read the rest of the books and want to complete the story arc.

This book was given to me for free by NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

Great characters and a cute storyline. I definitely recommend reading the other books in the series first so that you are able to follow along with everyone.

Review: This is the fifth, and last, book in this series set in the little seaside town of Mermaids Point. I have enjoyed this series of stories which centres on two of the families living in the town, with newcomers in each addition. Every book in the series has had a particularly pretty, colourful cover depicting the story within, this one showing a snowy Christmas scene.

In this story, the reader is treated to the return of a familiar face from the first book in the series, singer Aurora Storm. She has been enjoying huge popularity, but is suddenly involved in a scandal whipped up by the media. Remembering a previous occasion when she sought shelter in the town, she contacts her friend Nick Morgan who agrees to help her. What starts out as a pretend romance between Aurora and Nick for the world to see quickly becomes real. As she becomes involved in family life and Christmas preparations in the town, Aurora wonders whether she might enjoy life in the slow lane after becoming jaded with the giddy world she has been living in.

I found this a compelling story and quickly became absorbed in the lives of the characters. It was so well written that I found myself worrying what was going to happen to Aurora and what would be revealed next in the media with potential to hurt her further. She was very lucky to know such a sympathetic and understanding person as the handsome Nick. It was heart-warming to see the community rally around to help in any way they could; Mermaids Point certainly comes over as a place where residents look after each other and anyone would want to live. It has been wonderful reading all about the town and the people who live there. I can recommend the whole series. I am already looking forward to Sarah Bennet’s next book.

I liked the whole Mermaids Point series with its friendly seaside community but this last book fell flat to me. I knew it was coming to an end so I'd expected a big finale, and Sarah Bennett did deliver it brilliantly. But this means that from 70% of the book it was we-all-love-each-other and everyone was clapping each other's back, which added nothing to the story of this last novel. The lovers fell for each other again too easily, which made it a very light-hearted romance, and nothing like the previous books of the series.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an Advance Review Copy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this visit to Mermaids Point! I have loved every book in this sparkling series. Sarah Bennett writes with warmth and wit and her stories are heartwarming and uplifting. I adored the characters in the series and am sad to say goodbye to them, but on a positive note, I can go back and read them all again! A wonderful five star read that I wholeheartedly recommend!

I said at the end of the last book that Nick needed to have his own storyline…and hey presto! Here it is! We are back in Mermaids Point for the final time and whilst this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone book. Aurora Storm, who we met in the first book, is back in Mermaids Point following a media disaster! She enlists Nick’s help in showing the world that she is happily in a relationship with him, even though she’s not! It’s just before Christmas when Aurora arrives and the village is also preparing for Nerissa and Tom’s wedding. I really like Nick’s character and felt he deserved some love and happiness in his life. Aurora, whilst I wasn’t sure of her in the first book, won my heart over in this story and equally deserved some happiness – preferably with Nick!

The storyline is super festive and really got me in the early Christmas spirit! It flowed along at a lovely pace, settling you back into Mermaids Point life like you’d never left. There was so much going on in the little seaside village, but it all sounded so much fun and you couldn’t help but be swept up in the festivities of it all! All my favourite characters were back, some taking a little bit more of a back seat whilst others were more involved in the storyline. Nick and Aurora’s storyline was enjoyable although the picture of the showbiz world that Aurora painted was quite sad and made me realise how difficult it was for her.

The book overall was a happy, romantic and super enjoyable read, with plenty of love and laughter! I loved the community and family spirit that this series has portrayed all the way through and was genuinely sorry to see that it was the last one in the series! Full of family, friends and plenty of yuletide fun, this is a series I have really enjoyed! Would definitely recommend!

I loved the story . You could read as a stand alone. I had read all the others and I did struggle to remember everyone. But the story was lovely and you got the happy ending you wanted. Aurora was a pop star with a complicated life. Mermaid Point and Nick had helped her once before and she turned to them again. A good read

Another happy romp around mermaids point. This is such a lovely series of books and it has been such a pleasure to read them.
This book tied all the others up really well and it was lovely to hear about the other characters and catch up with them.
Nick and Aurora have been bubbling away since previous books and it was so lovely to watch their love affair begin and expand.
Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Another lovely outing to Mermaids Point, this time to catch up with Nick and Aurora’s story ( as well as everyone else in the village community!). Satisfying read but sad to discover that this is the last of the Mermaids Point books……. I was a little disappointed that the ending didn’t completely tie up loose ends, but maybe some of the characters may pop up in future books!

Happy Endings Book Five, and Aurora Storm is loving her music career in America until she is hit by a media storm shakes her world. Nick Morgan back in Mermaid Point is still pining for her after a brief fling, and is surprised to get a call to say she is coming back for Christmas and he welcomes her to join his family can they pick up where they left off?
A Christmas eve wedding and a family Christmas is in store bringing sparkle and Joy to the story.
Will it be a magical end?
Sarah Bennett takes her readers into the family the Morgan's and the Nelson's and all their friends I just loved this book the highlight of the whole series, and you will shed a few tears along the way, and I am going to miss them all as this is the last book, but fear not this wonderful author will have a new exceptional series in the making for us to get to know and love.
heart warming, it's a must read and one of my favourites from Sarah.
Loved it from start to finish, it's a cracker. Five star's.

A lovely welcome back to Mermaids Point, where we revisit characters met in previous books. This story does stand alone, but I would however suggest reading previous books to fully understand all of the references.

Nick loved singer Aurora from the first time he met her. When she left, he buried himself in his work. Circumstances mean that she is thrown back into his life - can he persuade her that she is meant to be with him in the small town, or will the lure of fame and the return to her career be too much for Aurora to resist?

A lovely finale to the series, I'm looking forward to reading future Sarah Bennett books.
