I really enjoyed the poems gathered in this collection and I'm sure I will be sharing these with the children at my school

This is a wonderful collection of poems; some are deep, powerful and make you think and others are more whimsical and funny, but all of them are great. It’s a poetry book you can keep coming back to, dip in and out of or read all in one go. Matt Goodfellow has a talent for capturing the thoughts and voices of children and young people which comes across beautifully in this collection. I will definitely be recommending this to my Year 6 pupils.

Ordinarily this is the kind of book that I’d dip in and out of over time, but for the purposes of this review I read it cover to cover. I enjoy poetry an awful lot and have released my own anthology so it’s definitely one of my preferred ways to express myself. And I’ve always enjoyed reading others poetry as a way for inspiration, motivation and just to get others perspective on life. I also love how every post has a unique style, and that poetry doesn’t have to be what we traditionally thought it was. I found this this was a well put together anthology and as the subheading said - they’re poems to lose yourself in. And boy, did it live up to that!

Let's Chase Star Together is very emotive. I was so taken by some of the poems I ended up reading them out loud to my family to see their reactions too. It covers a range of real-life issues with great sensitivity and would be great for dipping in and out of.
