This was such a light, enjoyable read. I finished reading it in a matter of hours. I was interested in the book's premise right away because I had never read anything similar. I decided to give it a try, and fortunately I was given the chance to acquire an ARC.

A humorous second chance romance, Forget Me Twice. It emphasizes the highs and lows of relationships and how Meyer and Archie battled through those, making them realize they both needed to mature in order to move past their marriage issue.

Our main characters are so endearing, and reading about how they are growing as people, both personally and in terms of their relationships with one another, made me genuinely happy. It was adorable to see them flirt and converse back and forth. Their chemistry is top-notch since the author wrote these two so well for one another.

Meyer was intelligent, funny, cunning, and outspoken. Meanwhile Archie was the ideal partner for her since he knew her like the back of his hand and made an attempt to truly comprehend her ideas. He may have been at fault in the past, but he completely atoned for his errors throughout the time they resumed living together, demonstrating that he was a wonderful guy.

Every single character has a distinct personality and is incredibly likeable, and the pacing is amazing. There is never a dull or uninteresting part of the show. I also adore the author's writing style because it makes me feel as though I'm speaking to a friend.

Although their big fight was intense, I do have one complaint of this book's development: I wish there had been a little more to it. There was such a big buildup that it felt like there should have been a little more, which can ruin the mood, especially for a reader who is quite particular about that kind of thing. I thought the ending was a little too hurried, but I still think it was well done.

It wasn't at all terrible. simply lacked substance and could have been longer.

To be honest, this book was still unique! a genuinely sweet epilogue, with many amusing circumstances. I would still encourage everyone who enjoys older rom-coms and second-chance romance to watch this.

The anticipated publication date for the book is November 10, 2022.

And I thank the chance to acquire an ARC in exchange for an objective review from Victory Editing Co-op and NetGalley.

Thank you @netgalley for an early copy of Forget Me Twice by @carinataylorauthor in exchange for an honest review. 🤍

Meyer receives a call one day informing her that her husband has been in an accident - only she isn't married anymore. Archie's accident caused his amnesia, and he believes he's still married to Meyer.

Forget Me Twice is a hilarious second chance romance. It's very short and fast-paced and I definitely enjoyed it. It highlights the ups and downs of relationships and how Meyer and Archie struggled through those and made them realize that they both needed some growing up to do to be able to get past their marital problems.

Rating Forget Me Twice ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5. Releases November 10th, 2022! I recommend this if you want a light and fluffy romance read.

Absolutely adored this book. It was such an extremely enjoyable experience to read it. The pacing was perfect and the characters were very well drawn out. This is the first time I'm reading anything by this author and cannot wait to pick up more of her books.

Second chance romance and amnesia trope? Sign me up. This book was a quick easy read that managed to pull me out of a reading slump. It follows the story of Meyer as she tackles having to look after her ex-husband who cannot remember their divorce or anything leading up to it. I did however find that sometimes it stayed a bit surface level which made it hard to connect with certain parts because we weren’t given the opportunity to understand the full context. The ending also felt like it wrapped up very quickly. However, I don’t want to diminish how much I enjoyed this and how hooked I was to keep reading. 3.5 stars

When the local hospital calls to say her husband has been in an accident, Meyer is so confused because she doesn’t have a husband. But Archie is back and his accident has left him with amnesia, he believes he still happily married. The doctor thinks it’s best to let him remember on his own which means no telling him the truth. Archie is back in Meyers life and is determined to fix his life. How do you live with your ex-husband like you’ve never divorced?

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Taylor for my copy of this book. I loved this storyline and was so intrigued by how is was going to turn out and in no way did this disappoint. It was a perfectly paced story and so different to what I’ve read before. I flew through this book and I just wanted to know what happened and read more about Meyer and Archies relationship together, I felt for both of them as they struggled through their own emotions in such a strange situation. I thought this was such a great concept for a romance book. I perfectly balanced second chance romance.

“Have you ever brought your ex-husband home and pretended to still be married?

Yeah, me either.

When my local hospital calls to say “I’m sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been in an accident” I try to explain the basics to them.
I am not married—anymore. (Archie Dunmore is a thing of the past.)
If there’s a husband in the hospital, it’s not mine.

Except Archie is back, and he's been in an accident. One that has left him with amnesia. Yup. He believes we’re still happily married. Oh joy.” (Portion of Amazon synopsis)

QUICK THOUGHTS:
LIKES - This book was just lovely!! Meyer and Archie were such like-able characters and I found the amnesia twist really interesting! I also enjoyed the humor in the book!

DISLIKES - Nothing!

Read if you like:
*second chance romance
*forced proximity
*major tension between the main characters
*amnesia storyline
*witty writing

Meyer and Archie are divorced, even if Archie doesn't remember. Meyer is in the process of trying to rebuild her life when Archie quite literally crashes back in- in the form of a plane wreck which leaves him with amnesia and no recollection of their separation. In Archie's mind the two are still happily married, and as she helps him recover Meyer has to decide whether or not to give their love a second chance.

I really enjoyed this book! I've been reading a lot of contemporary romance lately and this felt fresh and unique. I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a romance with wit, warmth and laughter.

*Spoilers*

One of my favorite things about Archer and Meyer is the mutual accountability they take for the way their marriage ended and they way they both grow during their time apart. Meyer becomes stronger, more sure of herself and more willing to speak up. Archie's response to the new Meyer is so endearing- he's absolutely in awe of her and it's really precious.

Thank you to Netgalley for the copy of this book. This is my honest review.
I have very mixed feelings about this book and the ending made the rating go up a star. I really struggled with how to rate it.
This book seemed different than most of this authors books. I thought the plot was interesting and like I said, the last half saved the book for me watching the conflict being worked out.
One of the main things that I struggled with was how pushy he was physically with her even tho she had made it clear that they hadn’t been getting along and she didn’t want anything physically. It made me cringe and that scene stuck with me and just sat wrong.
I will not be posting this on IG.

What would you do if your ex-husband came to live with you again, and he had no idea you two weren't together? That's Meyer's life after Archie, her ex-husband, gains amnesia in a plane accident and she has no choice but to let him back into her life. And once Archie's back, he has no intention of going again...

I'm not a huge second chance romance fan, but I did enjoy this one. The premise is unique, and I liked reading all about Meyer's frustration at having Archie back initially. However, the story felt a bit rushed, although it was a quick read.

This book is the perfect, easy-read, rom-com. Meyer and Archie have been divorced for a year, when Archie suddenly shows up in Meyer's life again, but missing the last two years due to amnesia caused by a plane crash. Unable to tell Archie the truth about their divorce, Meyer pretends to be happily married to him, in the attempts that he will gain back his memories. The only issue being that she may be falling back in love with him. I was hooked from the very start of this book. I loved that it was clear that both Meyer and Archie had their own faults that resulted in the divorce, both characters aware that they weren't perfect. Overall I really liked this book and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good fluffy romance.

Thank you Net Galley & Victory Editing, in addition to Carina Taylor for this cute rom-com!

Archie and Meyer have been divorced for a year, Meyer receives a call from her local hospital as she is still her ex-husband's emergency contact. Archie gets into an accident resulting in amnesia and his memories date back prior to their divorce. As his only "family" in the area, Meyer takes Archie to their once shared home to recover. The close proximity allows Meyer and Archie to remember and recover their feelings and reasons why they loved each other in the first place.

Very unique and different plot for a second chance romance. I really liked the story and found the characters to be mostly enjoyable, but I do feel like their love story could have been developed a little more. Overall really enjoyed reading this one and would definitely recommend!

I absolutely devoured this book in less than 36 hours!!! This had me giggling and screaming and losing my mind. I think I might be obsessed with second chance romances. I knew I was going to love this book when I read the blurb and it did not disappoint. The chemistry and angst between Archie and Meyer was so GOOD! I love both the main characters but I might be IN LOVE with Archie. He is both adorable and hot at the same time.

It could have been a 5 star read but I felt like their reason for divorce was very immature (which I understand is the point of the book but I still think divorce was an extreme and unrealistic decision in that situation). This is also definitely a personal thing but I HATE public declarations of love. So every time I see that in a book I cringe a little.

I would still highly recommend this book, especially to those who love second chance romance. It is a fun, angsty and quick read.

Forget me twice follows Meyer heading over to the hospital to see her ex husband after a plane crash. She is still listed as his emergency contact and then finds out he has amnesia and has forgotten they’re already divorced and to make matters worse the doctor tells her to let him remember things on his own. This book was light hearted and a fun, easy read. I finished this in one sitting.

I JUST LOVE SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE LIKE THIS.

Meyer and Archie had been divorced for a year when Archie literally crashed into her life again, now with two-years’ worth of memories missing, not remembering that they were divorced. In order to not stress him while he healed, Meyer had to pretend that they were still married while Archie was in a blissful period, still in love with his wife.

Ah!!! The angst. The growth. The maturity. The lack of miscommunication. The pranks and jokes, reconnecting them again. I just love them!

All the characters, main and minor, supporting ones included, were AMAZING. The plot was smoothly going, the relationship development and repair.

One thing that is such a bummer is that we only get Meyer’s POV. But… without having Archie’s POV, we already know how he felt for his wife… ex-wife, I mean.

The book comes out 10 November 2022, count on me reading it again!

The synopsis of this sounded SO cute. Unfortunately the execution left a lot lacking. Each chapter noting POV had me hoping for some chapters from Archie but, with the exception of the prologue, the entire story was from Meyers POV.

It felt like the two MCs were so set on complaints that something went wrong in their marriage (it's never clear what) that we didn't get to see any glimpses into what brought them together in the first place. The fight flashback felt a little out of place like here we're arguing, and someone yells just leave then. And that's that. Was it little arguments that built up? The conflict isn't really identified.

The story missed out on the so many opportunities to show chemistry, focusing instead on what felt like very childish pranks rather than what may have constituted as the author wanting to convey flirting. The ending felt rushed, because we didn't see any moments of chemistry, I didn't see myself rooting for the characters to reconcile.

I feel like this plot line would have worked better both dual POV and/or flashbacks throughout to show Archie and Meyer's love story. Also showing what was going through Archie's mind in the amnesia and post getting memories back. I think the author tried to go for a light hearted read with some pretty heavy topics that maybe needed to be approached with a bit more delicacy.

Ultimately there were just too many things missing in this story that it just wasn't for me.

I was browsing through NetGalley and found this book. I haven't read this author before but I read the blurb and got hooked. I was looking forward to this one actually because it kind of reminded me of one of my fave books that was published more or less 10years ago by Holly Stephens entitled Second Rate Chances. So I was excited.... Let me reiterate that I haven't read any of the author's books so I went in blind. Sure I enjoyed it. It seemed like something you'd find on the Hallmark Channel... and maybe on a late night at Disney Channel. I didn't not know it was a clean romance. I like my romance reads spicy. It would have been nice if it had a little spice, but there was none. At least for me. I was disappointed in that aspect but overall it was an enjoyable read. I finished the book overnight.

When Archie Dunmore crashes lands his small plane, he can’t remember anything from the past two years. This includes the fact that him and his (ex)wife Meyer got divorced and he’s been living in an entirely different state. When Meyer gets called to the hospital to retrieve her husband, she’s told it’s better if he remembers the divorce, and the details of his life in general, on his own time. She decides to take him home and pretend their still married. You know, like any rational person would do.

This book had all the makings of a great rom com. Unfortunately it fell so flat for me. The prose was just not their and it was so difficult to care about the characters. Nothing flowed like it should have and I struggled to get through it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
