I love, love, love the premise of this novel. I knew it was going to come with some drama and controversy and it definitely did but I can’t help feeling more could have been done to really make this unique romance really shine. I enjoyed Meyer’s creativity and desperation in trying to hide the truth from her amnesiac ex-husband whilst trying to ward off his advances but I didn’t really warm to Archie’s character. He didn’t seem to have much depth to him, and we only seem to learn that he’s reckless and apparently loved by everyone. This is probably a hazard of the plot, since it’s hard to get to know a character that’s missing two years of their life, especially when their wife is avoiding talking to them about anything significant.
There were lots of fun moments and I enjoyed Margaret’s quirky character, she very much filled that scheming, somewhat savage, funny old woman role in this story although we didn’t see too much of her. However, I didn’t really feel the chemistry between the main characters. I was more being told there was chemistry and love than seeing it for myself. That being said, this is a light and fun read with a great plot at the heart of it and if you’re up for some easy reading, then this might be the book for you.

If you love second chance romcoms with little steam then this book is for you. This book was an enjoyable read, that kept me engaged throughout. I adored Archie and Meyer. The banter was great and I loved the side characters - definitely need a Willa/Kingston story and also a Tripp story. I wish this was a dual pov, I would have loved reading Archie's thoughts.

Well this was utterly delightful!
Second chance romance isn’t generally a troupe I gravitate to but I had such a good time reading this! Meyer and Archie are both strong, well defined characters with their own unique personalities that you’re able to easily root for. I really enjoyed the pacing of the book and the banter was amazing! My only wish is that is waa dual pov, I would have loved to spend some time in Archie’s head.
If you enjoy second chance romance or just want to give the troupe a chance I highly recommend.

I was ready for an immeasurable amount of angst but this book surprised me
.
A second chance light romance with a good use of the amnesia resource, in a small town that makes you want to return
.
Meyer has had a year of personal and financial growth, after her divorce she went through difficult times but managed to get ahead and live a good and easy life. But everything changes when she receives a call from the local hospital saying that her husband had an accident and is in a difficult situation
.
With minimal injuries but unable to remember the last two years of his life. Archie believes that they are happily married and by doctor's orders he must discover the truth on his own to prevent further damage
.
Meyer is forced to live with an ex-husband she hasn't seen for over a year and trying no to flinch every time he wants to kiss her
.
I really liked how Meyer faced the situation, they both needed to grow and mature as people but I'm missing Archie a bit, I would have liked his point of view to understand him better and believe more that he deserved a second chance with Meyer. I can see and love how she grew up and became a better version but I didn't see the same in him
.
But Carina Taylor's books have a very particular charm in their plot and how the conflict is resolved, which put her books among the best romcoms I've read
.
Thanks to Carina Taylor and Victory Editing group for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion
.

How could you not want to read this book? !?!? I was sold on the description alone. What a situation to have!
This book made me laugh, and it was a fantastic story! Love to see this on a screen.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Forget Me Twice was my introductory book to Carina Taylor and it did not disappoint. This was such a nice and breezy read, with lots of laughable scenes and lovable characters. Love second chance romances (that don’t include cheating) and this one delivered.
We begin with Meyer receiving a call from the hospital informing her that her husband had been in an accident. The problem? It’s really her ex-husband… and he has amnesia forgetting the last two years and believing they are still happily married. With the doctor’s recommendation to allow him to recover memories on his own without stress, Meyer takes him home and this is where it starts to get fun.
A make-you-feel good type of book with personal growth and learning to stand your ground and speak up. I would have loved a little more discussion on their growth together. I felt it was briefly discussed but it felt slightly underwhelming.
I would have loved to have two POV's, especially after Archie recovered his memory. I thought with the chapters having Meyer over them that it was going to happen eventually but only one point of view throughout. Which is in part the reason I would have wished to see the growth on each character individually. However, the dialogue allowed me to get a good feel for Archie’s thoughts in some parts about his feelings, especially during Meyer's eavesdropping 😅

This was very enjoyable. It's a really good premise for a book and I think it could be better if it was dual pov. Knowing what Archie was thinking would have been so helpful.
I received an arc through netgalley.

This was a fun read! Second-chance, amnesia, closed-door.
Given the premise, it had the potential to be angstier, which is how I prefer my books. Nevertheless, not a bad story!
Thank you to the publisher and author for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

As a first time reader of Carina Taylor, I didn’t know what to expect. This lighthearted/second chance romantic comedy was a delight. Delving into the realm of amnesia, I was concerned it was going to be a little “soap opera”-ish but Taylor kept it realistic and plausible.
[What I liked about the story: I loved Margaret and how she was woven through the entire story. She is revered and feared in the same breath. I enjoyed the unfolding of the story, the demonstration of how love, no matter how battered - if it is meant to be, will find a way. I also enjoyed how Archie and Meyer vocalized the right and wrong way to be in a marriage and how putting more effort in trying to change the other person or conform will put devastating cracks in a foundation.
What I didn’t like about the story: For a seasoned writer, I was disappointed in how novice the text felt in places and the lack of character development. In terms of the text, there was a lot of redundancy when elaborating on certain points.
While I would point the finger at editing more than Taylor for that oversight (along with having Meyer’s name at the top of each chapter but the POV never changed), the concern I had with the characters is more within how they were presented and developed.
I get supporting characters are there to help push the story forward but I feel a huge opportunity was missed as to why these characters were introduced. A doctor doesn’t just leave and take a job in a small town to help out a friend. What is Dr. Sharpe’s story? He is taking a huge risk in the game he is playing to help Archie - why? Her sister Bailey, learning about their sibling dynamic would have helped with how influential Bailey was with her sister and any decision making. We get that Kingston is protective but again, the sibling relationship is skirted around. We don’t know much about Bailey other than she is a mom and Kingston is a player of sorts. I don’t even get the purpose of the Willa/Kingston subplot - did that go anywhere, did he learn his lesson, what was the point?
As for Meyer - again I feel we missed out on learning more about her. You can put the pieces together to assume she is a people pleaser and that caused a lot of issues/resentment in her marriage but that was more of my assumption that clarification by the writer. I didn’t feel like I knew Artie at all! I knew OF Artie - he is talented at drawing, singing, can’t dance but asides for that I didn’t really know him enough to connect.
That is probably the biggest problem I had with this story, I couldn’t connect with the characters. That and Meyer’s logic never made any sense. She didn’t know how Artie felt despite hearing him and his intentions on the phone. She mourned losing her husband a second time despite him saying that when she wanted him, he would be there. She created obstacles that were more childish and unnecessary than relevant to the story

Such a fun, well-paced novel! It was a perfect read for a long flight, I really loved that the tension of the story was so original, with such a great spin on the second chance concept. I loved Meyer and the jury was out on Archie for a good bit of the story, which is exactly how I like it. I find joy in books where at least one of the main characters has some unlikeable traits. Being inside Meyer's head was very relatable, I loved her thought process.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for a review. Forget Me Twice is coming on November 10th! 💌
I really appreciated this book! I flew (pun intended) through it and read it in a day, which is always positive for me. I loved the way Meyer and Archie were together and I really also had some laughs. I thought this story was very well-written and easy-to-read, even though there’s some trauma involved 🫶🏼
As a person who, like Meyer, is extremely afraid of flying, this book sometimes gave me some chills, but it’s definitely not something that’s not suitable for people with a fear of flying, since there’s no real “crash”-scenes that are very traumatic. The whole scene is written lightly, which makes it nicer to read. Maybe just don’t read it whilst on a plane, when you’re scared 🛫
Overall, a very nice and quick read that I really enjoyed. Make sure to check the TW’s just to be safe. Other than that, enjoy this one! It’s up to pre-order right now, and I highly recommend you do that, if not for the story or my review, than for this suuuuper cute cover 💓

When Meyer receives a phone call from the hospital saying her ex-husband has been in an accident & has lost his memories, she is shocked. Even more to find when the doctor advises for them to live together in order for Archie to get his memories back.
This is a classic case of "they don't know that we know the know we know"🤣. I mean I enjoy tye amnesia trope so much but I clearly didn't think it was going to go in this way!
I loved the second chance romance between Archie & Meyer. The banter, the pranks, the longing; everything was perfect. Really appreciated seeing the glimpses of their past & divorce and where they stood now.
Overall, it was a fun, romantic & humorous read.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Publication Date - 10th Nov 22
Thank you to @netgalley for an early advanced copy of this book.
Meyer gets a phonecall from the hospital telling her that her ex husband, Archie has been in an accident. She is still down as his emergency contact. Although it's terrible that he's been in an accident she's not sure what to do about it because he walked out on her and they are now divorced. Meyer has only just recovered from that heartbreak that caused. But when the hospital advises he has amnesia and can't remember the last two years of his life. So Archie thinks he is still happily married. When she decides to take care of him until his memory comes back will this be there second chance at love or will Archie forget her all again?!
It's a funny and light-hearted read but for me it didn't quite work. You don't find out til near the end why they actually split up in the first place and I wasn't totally invested in the characters. It wasn't quite for me but I appreciated that the author tried to do a different take on a romance novel.

I really enjoyed this charming story. I just love the whole amnesia trope and tend to drop everything when I come across a book with this kind of storyline. I really liked how things played out, I'm always curious how the author will work this into a story, especially when/if the person will get their memories back and how that will all play out. I enjoyed how it was handled in this book, the timing was good. I enjoyed Archie and Meyer as characters and seeing their relationship develop between them. Lots of chemistry between them, and it was good to see that they learned a lot in their time apart.
Overall, an engaging story that kept me turning the pages and ignoring real life responsibilities.

When Meyer get a phone call from the hospitsl telling her his husband is been in an accident, littles does she knows her life will change forever. Archie walked out of her life a year ago breaking her heart and nearlly destroying her. Now she has to tske care of him until his memory comes back. He has forgiven the last two years of his life. Can they a second chance at love or will he forget Meyer again? Funny and sweet

I absolutelly adored this book, it was so fast paced and funny, I devoured it as fast as I could. I started reading this in the middle of the night and only stopped almost halfway through because I had to sleep.
I love second chance romances so this one got me hooked from the start. Meyer gets called to the ER because her husband was involved in a minor airplane accident and has amnesia. The problem? She’s not married. Not anymore, at least. She and Archie got divorced a year ago but he doesn’t remember it and it’s obstinated to go home with his wife.
Meyer is so funny, her inner monologue had me laughing out and the banter betwen her and Archie was amazing. I loved how when Archie doesn’t remember everything yet and he acts as a loving husband Meyer realizes how much he still affects her and how maybe she still got feelings for him.
Their marriage sttrugles are not really revealed until the 80% mark so for most of the book you’re rooting for them to get back together but we don’t know what caused them to split, I guess this could have been better explored. Same with the side characters.
Also the technicalities of the accident didn’t convice me much, like the man really crashes a plane and only gets a cut on the shoulder and amnesia? But you can still put this aside and enjoy the book
Overall it’s a fast, enjoyable and funny book that got Meyer and Archie into my favorite book couples list.

This was a DNF for me at 40%. The summary sounded great and interesting but the characters were very unlivable and immature. The banter was a little juvenile as well. Just not a great fit for me.

I was fortunate to be able to read an e-ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion, so thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity.
This was an interesting take on second chance romance, with the couple having already been married and divorced to each other. So what happens when he gets amnesia from a plane crash?
Overall, I liked the general vibe of the story, and it was a pretty quick read to get through once I focused on it. It did seem a little fantastical, given the whole plane crash into a backyard situation, but it is what it is.
Now I'm going to focus on why this book didn't quite hit the mark for me, despite enjoying it overall.
Initially, I was a bit unsure about Archie given how Meyer was reacting to him, and I was fully prepared to continue disliking him. But in the end, it was actually Meyer that annoyed and irked me the most. Whilst by the end, there's the whole portrayal that they both played a heavy role in the demise of their marriage (which felt a bit sudden tbh), she really needed to do some self reflection.
As the story went on, I felt that I started to disconnect from Meyer because her anger and petulance towards Archie and their divorce began to feel increasingly less founded. Whilst I recognise the portrayal that she is clearly introverted and an anxious person (particularly about planes and flying), it didn't make her dismissal of his own life goals okay. You deserve the same level of respect you give to others in this regard.
I feel that perhaps if there had been a dual POV, it may have balanced out some of the one sidedness that was present.

This was such an interesting way to tell this story. I really enjoy reading second chance romance and this book hit the spot.
I’ve been dealing with a reading slump and this book got me out of it.
The MC was fun to read and loved to see her deal with her ex-husband. I loved watching the two “fall in love”.
The love between the two was palpable, it came out of the page.
It did give me “You Deserve Each Other Vibes”, but this book was uniquely its own.
I really liked it! I’ll be checking out more books by this author.
This was an ARC given to me in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately I DNF'd at 30%. I was so excited to read this felt like the concept for the story was interesting but unfortunately I just didn't feel connected with the main character/interested in her story.
