Think of the cast of your favourite up market reality show and you have your main female characters but they bring along their dysfunctional family members with them.
The excesses and self indulgence are off set by the gruesome murders.
You won't feel sorry for the victims but read the story to find out why, I am not going to spoil the twists in the tale.
An enjoyable and fun read. Enjoy I did.

Straight away, I was completely hooked when it came to this story.
There's some great dark humour and you find yourself rooting for Kitty and simultaneously not wanting to put this down, as even though you can imagine that the next person on her hit list will be a horrible person who deserves everything that they get, you don't know exactly how everything will play out.
Kitty also felt like a real character and someone that you could see on the likes of Made In Chelsea (and seeing that this inspired Katy Brent made obvious sense). I loved every little description of her luxurious life, from her designer homeware, even down to the exact shade of Charlotte Tilbury lipstick used at the end.
I was a little bit concerned that once we found out who Kitty's stalker was and what started to transpire there, that it was going to ruin what had been such a great book. But thankfully everything is resolved in a very satisfying way. Even if I did think that Charlie surely couldn't have just been a nice guy all along.
One part of the book, Tor's time in Greece was maybe glossed over a bit, given how traumatic this must have been. But seeing Kitty get revenge, there and right throughout the book, meant that I couldn't put this down.
I really did devour this book in two sittings.
If you enjoyed How To Kill Your Family, I've got a feeling that you will really enjoy this.
And I will definitely be looking out for what Katy Brent does next.

Fiercely funny and fast paced, this is a serial killer crime thriller that pulls no punches. Kitty is an extraordinary character. Just a bit too insta for me (I’m old)

A fast moving and dark black comedy about a serial killing influencer. I liked the character of Kitty who was well written.

Very dark but an engaging read and I was torn between liking Kitty and wanting her to be caughtand while she relied on being an influencer, it was obvious that there was more to her from the start, it was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it.

A funny, witty murder mystery that had me laughing and terrified at the same time. It almost reminded me of a tv show I've watched recently but can't remember the name of.

How to kill men and get away with it by Katy Brent is one of the most uniquely fantastic books I have ever read and i had a great time from start to finish reading it.
There is some serious stuff discussed in this novel too and some cases I felt that the men were getting what they deserved. If looking for a quick read if this a go. With thanks yo netgalley in exchange for honest opinion

Be warned! If you are of faint heart, are easily offended, or have a dislike of fiercely dark humour, then this really isn't the book for you. Otherwise I would heartily recommend that you grab yourself a copy of Katy Brent's debut novel and spend a few hours in the company of her creation, Kitty Collins.

If you are familiar with "Sweetpea" by C.J. Skuse then it will be impossible not to make comparisons and draw parallels with that novel when you read this. Author, Katy Brent, is clearly well aware of that influence and there are nice nods of acknowledgement of that fact in the course of the narrative.

For those unfamiliar with "Sweetpea", if you could imagine the genes of Villanelle from "Killing Eve" being spliced with a "Made in Chelsea" style online influencer, then you might just end up with someone like Kitty Collins, the chief protagonist of this novel.

There is no slow-burn here - this is pacy and engaging from the outset and that is maintained throughout. Katy Brent's narrative is packed with highly entertaining dark and acerbic humour, but she also raises some extremely serious social issues. The danger in highlighting such important matters is that it can come across as preachy or sanctimonious and possibly even alienate the reader. Katy Brent not only avoids that potential pitfall, but really makes the reader empathise with Kitty, as a kind of vengeance-driven anti-heroine.

I almost certainly smiled far more than is probably socially and politically correct whilst reading this book - and I will certainly be looking out for more from Katy Brent.

Darkly humorous, Brent's debut is a very 'current' read. Despite the subject matter (which includes sexual harassment, assault... and well, obviously murder) I found this a very entertaining read.

Oh Kitty Collins - how on earth did all this begin? Well, it was simple really and Kitty, for one, simply has not looked back. Revenge is, among other things, just so damn sweet for Kitty. In any event, she can’t stop now even if she wanted to and, quite frankly, she really doesn’t want to. Just delicious and devious, funny and wickedly irreverent and with a protagonist that the reader will surely be cheering on all the way. A blast.

I flew through this in a day! Deliciously dark with some genuine lol moments, Katy Brent's debut novel is a compulsive read. Protagonist Kitty Collins is a total riot, with her disdain on display as she navigates her privilege. Fans of C.J. Skuse's 'Sweetpea' series will love 'How To Kill Men And Get Away With It'. Out in October, I highly recommend pre-ordering now. Would work well as a book group read, generating some wild discussion!

You’ve got to have done something wrong in her eyes. She also has a very clever way of disposing of the bodies. Often they start off in a Gucci bag.
When someone new comes into her life she needs to decide whether to continue with her hobby.

This is a book with real dark humour. I loved it. I devoured the pages. A really quick read that dispite the subject matter is very entertaining.

I read this in one sitting, a bit too much like Dexter for my liking and no way would the police be quite as incompetent as the author would like us to believe but that said it’s a fun read
