Overall this story was really cute!
I loved the concept of how they fell in love by making tick tocks recreating RomCom moments.
Also love that Sally has the love wall in her coffee shop. That was really cute.
Harry's ex is a complete *insert chosen explicit word here* Honestly I think he should have had her arrested when she wouldn't leave the house. See I hate her so much I refuse to even say her name!
Harry's parents are HORRIBLE I hate them.
I feel bad for Sally and how she gave up everything after her parents died. The only thing I hate about all of this story line is that I wish her sister would have met Harry earlier to get the harsh reality check she needed much sooner rather than treated her sister like absolute shit.
Overall I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick read and I would love to see it expanded into a series!

There are definitely the romance, cute, lovey parts and some smut throughout the book. It is cheesy, but who wants a romcom that isn't all that.

I ended up not finishing this ARC. I am super honored to get it but I just couldn’t get into it. The premise is adorable but not for me! Thank you so much for the opportunity to read :)

This book was absolutely adorable. Harry and Sally are both down on their luck which leads them to becoming temporary flatmates. They end up accidentally TikTok famous when they post their failed attempt at the dirty dancing lift. It goes viral. Since they are both in need of extra funds, they decide to make it a series and reenact as many iconic romcom scenes as possible.
This book was hilarious. It’s an opposites attract, grumpy sunshine romantic comedy that had me both swooning and laughing. The chemistry was fantastic and the spice was just right. I loved both Sally and Harry’s friend groups. They were so supportive and their conversations were so hilarious! I felt the strained family relationships were very realistic. The character development was well written. The process of becoming your own individual and separating your views and values from the ones your family gave you was great. I throughly enjoyed this book!

If you can’t guess from the title, this one is chuck full of romcom references. Sally and her new roomie, Harry, are embarking on influencer-ship by remaking classic romcom scenes on TikTok for extra cash. Sally needs the money to help support her sister (and sister’s enormous debt) and Harry needs cash to pay for the mortgage on a house his ex won’t leave as well as the rent he pays Sally.
Things get steamy and lines are blurred between acting out romcoms and developing real feelings for each other. A very gen z premise and a cute idea.
Some things didn’t work for me, and the biggest one was constantly referring to each other as landlady or lodger (it’s British). If you find a room for rent and pay that person…can’t you just call them your roommate?
Thank you NetGalley and One More Chapter for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
CW/TW: death of parents, divorce, infidelity, revenge porn

I’m a big fan of Ms. Freeman’s romcoms and I couldn’t wait to pick this one up. I mean, come on, the title alone had me chomping at the bit. Ya gotta love a book celebrating some of the best romcoms ever made and I love how the author ingeniously incorporates them into her love story.
Sally Thornton is a smart and savvy business owner, a responsible and loving sister, and a hopeless romantic. Her younger sister Amy has moved out of their flat and a friend of a friend is moving in. Harry is a large, sarcastic Grumpy Pants who doesn’t believe in love and hates romcoms. However, he pays his rent on time and keeps to himself, so she can’t complain. Being the happy and friendly person she is, she is determined to change Harry’s mind about romcoms by proving the lift from Dirty Dancing is romantic and not “just a guy catching a girl”. After videotaping the lift to make improvements, they agree to add their own funny take on the lift to TikTok for fun only to have it go viral. And so more “cute woman/sexy guy having laughs” re-enactments of iconic romcoms were born. She should keep this friendly. After all, Harry the love cynic wasn’t one to share warm fuzzies with.
Harry Wilson has been forced out of his home by his selfish cheating ex and is temporarily renting a flat with the most obnoxious and extremely cute landlady, Sally Thornton. Her bright pink clothes and romantic notions are ridiculous considering he didn’t believe in fairy tales. His parents are proof of that by selfishly living their separate lives and ignoring him. He’s still wondering why he agreed to Sally’s crazy TikTok idea, but he wouldn’t mind making some money from sponsors. But is that the only reason he’s going along with it or is Sally starting to grow on him?
The plot of this romcom is so creative and hilarious as Sally tries to convince the very blunt and serious Harry that love is real. Sally is a rock raising her lazy and unappreciative sister Amy after their parents died. In return, Amy, the brat, uses her sister’s generosity to give her money until Amy’s inheritance comes through in a couple of years. Money is tight for Sally, but she is a kind soul who believes she will find The One someday. Her attraction to Harry the cynic is unexpected as he shows his unintentional romantic side in subtle ways such as sticking up for Sally with her sister and giving in to her TikTok challenges. Harry has been honest with Sally that he cannot love anyone and that a relationship would be temporary, but the more she hears about his life, the more she falls for this spurned and lonely man. My favorite re-enactments are the orgasm scene in When Harry Met Sally, the sexy hot clay pot scene in Ghost, and certainly the door and card scene from Love Actually. When Sally and Harry finally give in to their feelings, it is delicious, but there is always the love obstacle between them. The tables eventually turn on them with Sally trying to pull away before she is totally destroyed and Harry hanging on for dear life to stay together. Everything seems bleak until, with a little help from some unlikely friends, Harry’s grand gesture saves the day.
Vince and Kitty love their friend, Sally. Vince is more cuddly while Kitty is a pit bull. In fact, Kitty is a bit over the top with her bitchiness toward Harry, but she comes through in the end. Poor Harry didn’t have a chance at love with his nasty ass parents and his “See You Next Tuesday” ex-girlfriend, Isabelle. However, Harry’s friends Mike and Jack are there for him despite their teasing.
I am delighted to recommend this truly endearing and funny romantic comedy that took me back to my favorite movie scenes and famous lines.
Thank you again to Ms. Freeman for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

5 stars of laughing out loud and swooning! What a cute book this was! This is a story about two roommates who are both struggling in their own private ways, and end up finding a companion in each other through the hilarious and touching re-enactments of famous rom com scenes that they share on Tik tok. This was a well rounded book, with funny moments, and tender moments. The characters had depth that made them feel real and relatable. There was also a great cast of side characters. I found myself wanting to cancel plans or stop what I was doing to read more of it. I enjoyed reading this book!
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this advanced copy.

A rom-com that talks about other rom-com, social media and how two people feel in love.
I had a lot of fun in finding the references, rooted for the characters, and appreciated the style of writing.
Can't wait to read the next one by this author.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine

I absolutely love 80s Rom Com movies so this title really caught my attention! It was a fabulous fun romp of a read, watching Sally and Harry attempt some iconic RomCom scenes together to share on social media.
I liked the way they became friends and how as opposites they slowly became attracted, in a gentle but humorous manner.
A very clever and entertaining storyline, I was constantly guessing which scene would be chosen next!
A perfect relaxing read that was amusing and fun from the start until the end!
Will definitely look out for more from this author as I enjoyed her style of writing.

4.5 stars.
When Harry met Sally and literally every other great romcom there is…
Firstly I want to start off by saying that I annoyed the HECK out of this book on my kindle. I’m going to need the physical copy ASAP so I can annotate properly!!
I ADORED this book!! Man, I felt the chemistry between Harry and Sally and that is exactly what I look for in a romance. Nobody Puts Romcoms in the Corner was hilarious, witty and swoon worthy the whole way through.
Kathryn Freeman is the only author that can make me enjoy third person romance, yep I said it.
From the get go, I thought it was so refreshing to see the MMC actually laugh and have a good time with both the FMC and his friends. It wasn’t exactly grumpy x sunshine but not exactly sunshine x sunshine - the characters just felt like normal, happy people, but with their own family issues going on behind the scenes.
The book references TikTok A LOT, well it pretty much centres around TikTok. Usually, this is something I would stay away from but the references weren’t cringey at all and I really enjoyed the TikTok aspects of the story!
The ONLY thing that bugs me in literally any book is when the author writes out an emoji (eg crying with laughter emoji, hearts instead of eyes emoji). But that took up about 0.001% of the book so I didn’t care too much.
Aw I really hope Harry and Sally last forever, they both deserve it after everything they’ve been through.
This book was very kindly sent to me as an ARC by One More Chapter in exchange for an honest review

Phew! I loved this book so so much! Sally and Harry were so freaking hot together! They had all the chemistry and man was it fun watching them fall for each other.
Harry is a love cynic. He doesn't believe in it. He doesn't want it. It will never happen. Sally loves love. She loves romcoms and watches them all the time with her friends, her cafe is love themed and even has little notes from people whose love stories started there! She loves love. So of course when you put the two together it was so much fun. I loved the two of them recreating iconic rom-com scenes, especially since Harry didn't know them. Oh, they were so great together. They get each other and I loved this story! This is the first book from this author I have read but definitely won't be the last!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book

This was so much fun to read and lead to a lot of reminiscing over my favourite films.
Diry Dancing, Pretty Woman and Ghost are my absolute favourite films ever and visualing the re-enactments between Harry and Sally (another genius movie reference) was hilarious.
I mean we've all tried that lift at least once since seeing the film haven't we?
The plot is bloody brilliant, the characters amazing, you can't help but fall in love with them and their attempts to become Tiktok famous.
Nobody Puts Romcoms in the Corner is an absolute delight to read, it's heartwarming, gives you all the feels and I had the time of my life whilst reading it!
Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.

Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins UK for giving me access to an advanced reader copy of Nobody Puts Romcoms In A Corner. I thought this book was super cute and I loved all the modern day references to social media. I loved the chemistry that Harry and Sally have from the very start, along with the input from each of their friends. It really made the book lively and entertaining. I did feel like the book dragged on a little in the middle and I would have liked to have seen a few more modern romcom scenes as well.

Such a cute book. I love Dirty Dancing its been my favorite movie, so when I saw this I knew I had to read it. I love how they acted out different rom coms. I loved the characters and banter. So good!

Four and a Half Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭒
Nobody Puts Romcoms In The Corner by Kathryn Freeman is a delightful romantic comedy that brings to life many iconic romantic comedy scenes.
Story Recap:
Sally is a romantic and she loves to watch romantic comedies. When she needs a new roommate, her friends recommend, Harry. Harry doesn’t like romcoms, but, he’s a good sport. When Harry and Sally have a bit too much to drink, and they decide to re-create the iconic Dirty Dancing movie lift, they are both surprised when the video goes viral.
Harry and Sally can use the extra money that viral videos can produce, so they decide to re-create an iconic rom-com scene every week. While they spend time together recreating sexy, funny, and romantic scenes, they grow closer together. But, even in iconic romcoms, life isn’t easy, and the path to happily ever after.
My Thoughts:
Like Sally, I also love to watch romcoms and I enjoyed this cute story. I knew every single scene they were re-enacting, and that made it really fun for me.
Sally is just such an authentic character. She wears her heart on he sleeve and she’s fun-loving and an optimist. I wasn’t sure about Harry at first, I didn’t like the way he talked about romcoms with Sally, and he was way too cynical, but once he volunteered to re-enact scenes with Sally, he stole my heart too.
The pacing was a bit off and the middle was too slow for me, but it was worth it to get to the end.
Recommendation:
I highly recommend Nobody Puts Romcoms in the Corner to anyone who enjoys romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book is like a fusion of some of my favourite things, romance books meets romcom films, the synopsis alone made me want to dive right into this book and I can tell you, this would make a great movie, would be a perfect romcom film.
Sally and Harry where wonderful characters, both so relatable and so cute, the scenes recreating the famous lift from Dirty Dancing was amazing and so funny, in fact part of what makes this book wonderful (beyond the fantastic romance that it is) is spotting you favourite movie refer and scenes as you read.
I loved the relationship between them, drama that gets in the way, strained exes and sibling relationships , these are really well done and not the usual ‘miscommunication’ which was so nice and refreshing. I loved the banter between the couple, can’t beat some good innuendo if you ask me.
If you’re looking for a book that is fun, sweet, laugh out loud hilarious and contains some of your favourite romcom scenes recreated, this is the perfect book for you, because it was for me.
Thanks to Kathryn Freeman, One More Chapter and Rachel’s Random Resources for a free e-book in return for an honest and voluntary review, all opinions are my own and freely given.

Absolutely laugh-out-loud, hilarious and fun, too,
No hesitation in highly recommending to you!
Sally is a romcom fan and believes in love still
Whilst Harry is a cynic and believes he never will.
Put these opposites together in a flat share
And see how long it will be before they both care!
Add in a challenge to re-enact a romcom scene
Add it to Tic Toc, the start of a series that'll now mean.
Selecting the scenes, filming their attempts, too,
Having fun, faking it, will it become something true?
But a vindictive ex, his parents and her sister
All prove to be like an uncomfortable blister.
Will their attraction grow or his cynicism cause it to fail?
Will they become their own romcom, or will it never set sail?
A gorgeous read that lightens your heart all the way through
And has you giggling out loud as your read it, too!
Great friendships for both, are added to the mix
In a romcom that has so many aspects to fix.
I totally enjoyed it right from the start
A romcom that's full of feelings all from the heart.
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sally and Harry becomes roommates after Harry’s ex cheats on him and refuses to move out of his house. Strapped for cash, Sally get Harry to agree make TikTok videos recreating iconic RomCom moments.
The story is filled with classic RomCom scenes. It was so much fun! Harry is a cynic when it comes to love, and Sally’s looking for her one true love. Not exactly on the same page when it comes to love. There ended up being a ton of fun banter as they attempted to ignore the chemistry they had with each other. I was rooting for Sally and Harry the whole time!
I really enjoyed this story. It was an adorable read with a touch of spice! Check this book out if you like:

If ever there was a romcom book that should become a movie, it’s this. How can you not love this premise?! Harry needs to rent a room to escape the cheating ex-gf who refuses to move out of his house, and Sally has a room to let after her sister moves out. Side note- the setting is Brighton, UK which I found special since every UK set book is either a silly romp through the Irish countryside or London. Anyways, during a sulk-sesh, the new roomies get drunk and debate romcom movies and ultimately re-enact the famous lift scene from Dirty Dancing, post to tiktok and are shocked to find they have gone viral. A brilliant plan to make a little side cash is hatched and the two decide to recreate a ton of other romantic scenes from beloved movies, including my favorite, Love Actually.
I absolutely loved reading this book. It ended up having way more depth and emotion than expected, but was perfectly balanced with the cute playfulness you would expect from the premise. Sally is constantly helping her younger sister, always having to be the strong adult, having been forced into a mother role after their parents early death. Harry’s ex-gf is a nightmare and his own parents have so much baggage they can’t give him the time of day. Both of the MC’s have awesome friends who really come through for them in the latter half of the story, and really gave the book a little more heart. It’s very much a found-family vibe. 4 ⭐️
Thank you NetGalley & the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my unbiased opinion!

This book was a dream for this little lover of romcoms. It ticked some of my favourite trope boxes and with the lovely Sally as the leading lady and cynical Harry as the unwilling victim there was never any doubt that these two were deserving of a romcom all of their own.
In typical romantic fiction style the path to true love is never smooth and they hit a few bumps along the way. Those bumps being an ex who refuses to leave the house, a complicated sibling relationship, Harry’s warring parents and one very opinionated best friend called Kitty.
I loved that Sally was described as having her head in a romantic bubble but also having a backbone of steel. Women can be many things at the same time so I really appreciated that we could be shown as being soft hearted but also fierce, strong and entirely capable.
It was a joy to spot all the movie scenes and especially when Never been kissed was mentioned. Who didn’t love the pitchers mound scene and have a crush on that teacher?
So will Harry discover what it takes to be her romantic movie hero? Will Sally get her card in The Love Bean cafe window and more importantly her happy ever after?
The perfect read for Valentine’s Day this will put a glow in your heart and a smile on your face.
