Thank you to the publisher for sending me a copy of this book. This book has been on my radar for a while and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

This was an absolute fabulous physiological thriller which I struggled to put down.

In this book, we meet Rani, who attempts to befriend her new neighbour, Natalie. Several people do not like the friendship and try to warn Natalie.

The author takes us on their journey and it is an absolute rollercoaster of a read

This book is hard to review without giving too much away, but it’s a great psychological thriller. The book is a bit of a slow burner to begin with, but once it picks up, it really is a gripping read.

Highly recommended from me!

I enjoyed the start of the book, but found my interest waning, I’ve heard so many good things, I will retry reading at a later date or listening to the audiobook

This is a fantastic debut. Drew me straight in. The 2 main characters are both troubled. They are bizarrely drawn to each other and you will be drawn to them. Nothing is as you think. You’ll be breathless after this and guess what? She’s got a new book out too!

Mira Shah, stand up and take a bow! This is a BRILLIANT debut! Everything about this book has me speechless. I’m not sure any written review can do this justice.

This is a really compelling read, it starts off strong and just keeps on getting better. The dynamics of the different couples is fascinating. Both couples are at different ends of the spectrum, both with their own struggles.

Shah’s talent oozes from the pages of this gem. If I didn’t know this was a debut, I wouldn’t believe it. This is a masterpiece.

I was pulled in instantly to this one. I found myself wanting to get to know the characters better. I wanted to see where this would go and what secrets were being kept.

Shah has filled the pages with suffocating interactions between Natalie and husband Charles, also with her mother. These on times felt claustrophobic which really adds an element to this read.

As a reader, you can tell there are secrets to uncover. However, I wasn’t prepared for the betrayal and emotions that were coming.

This is just brilliant from beginning to end. Mira is an author to watch out for because she’s going to become a name we all know for masterful storytelling.

All I can say is THAT ENDING! Wow I didn’t expect this to go where it went but I’ve loved the journey.

This is a book I have no hesitation in recommending. An absolute must read.

Thank you Hodder & Stoughton and NetGalley.
My first book by Mira and hopefully not my last.
This was a really addictive psychological thriller, which at times was very dark and creepy.
I totally recommend this book, but be warned, it will keep you up reading it as you won't want to put it down.

What a lovely little psychological thriller. I cannot believe this was debut book. It flowed so perfectly, going between the two main characters, Natalie and Rani. I spent the first half of the book entertained, but thinking I knew exactly where it was going. I could not have been more wrong. The twists were unexpected and very creative, and even when you think you’ve worked it out, there's still more to come. Is it the perfect story of jealousy and envy, or is it so much more?

I suggest you pick this up when you have time to get lost in it completely because I couldn’t put it down and it moved so quickly!

Engrossing and gripping.

Gripping and twisty. A story of envy but is it all as it seems? A great read. Looking forward to more from Mira V Shah.

You Watch Her, You Want to be Just Like Her. But Do You Really Know Her????

'Her' starts off strongly and had me quickly drawn. Rani is an immediately relatable character, a promising career as a journalist is cut short due to having children young, seeing her friends and husband careers flying, she is becoming disheartened with her life and position. When she sees the house across the road for sale, and subsequent purchase by the glamorous Natalie and her husband Charles, she is immediately drawn to her.

The writing is excellent, the character development and sense of their emotions is done well. We are given alternating chapters from the POV of both Rani and Natalie, and this builds the story well, slowly revealing mysteries and secrets. None of which is easily guessable!

The only down side to me is the ending. It started so well, but the end seemed very rushed, things that could have been majors parts of the story were glossed over, and right after the drama we find ourselves 6 months down the line. I was left feeling a bit disappointed after not being able to put the book down for two days, but I did get a lot of enjoyment from the book anyway.

It's a great debut and I'll look forward to what Mira V Shah writes next.

Thank you to Netgalley, Hodder and Staunton and Mira V Shah for a copy of the book.

Oh, I loved this. There was enough to keep me guessing and turning the pages. Full of twists and turns, the friendship between two neighbours and the hidden secrets. Really engaging, I'll be seeking out more of this author.

This had a good opening, but I really struggled to stay engaged with the story.

I didn't like any of the characters and lost interest in trying to keep up with what was going on by halfway - I did finish as I wanted to find out what had happened, but this was very nearly a DNF.

I think a lot of people would enjoy this, the writing style really wasn't for me - it didn't hold my attention.

A deep psychological thriller. To me it seems to peak a little early then flat towards the end. Still an Okay read.

I found Her to be an OK read. It was a bit slow paced and drawn out and I really did not like the characters. I finished it as I wanted to know what was happening but it didn't hold my attention as much as I thought it would.

Thank you to NetGalley and Hodder & Stoughton for my ARC.

The opening really did grab me but around halfway through sadly, I just lost interest. Really disappointing as I thought it had potential.
