Fall in love with Lindy and her story as she returns home for Christmas. This is the second Christmas book from Debbie (thanks Netgallery and publishers for being able to review that) for the 2022 season.
Lindy is a girl who is dealing with multi things when she returns home for Christmas. Finally coming clean to her mum, she is handed a box of letters to Santa's. After reading them she is encouraged to write a final letter to Santa with three wishes. Two of them come true when she bumps into an old school friend, Peggy, but also Billy. Can Lindy get the happy ever after she deserves.
I couldn;t put this book down as I read Lindy's story. Another brilliant Debbie book.
Thank you to the publishers and NetGallery for allowing me access.

This book leaves you with such a warm festive feel- believing in the magic of Santa. It creates such rich imagery that you can imagine being a part of the story with the Christmas stardust falling all around you. I have always loved Debbie Macombers books and this one was one of my favourites.

I’d like to thank Little, Brown Book Group UK, Sphere and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Dear Santa’ by Debbie Macomber in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Lindy Carmichael is looking forward to spending two weeks at Christmas with her family at Apple Orchard Lane, Wenatchee, especially as she’s been through a difficult time with her boyfriend Brian leaving her for her best friend Celeste. As soon as she arrives her mother produces a small shoebox full of the letters Lindy wrote to Santa from when she was five years old, and as her mother tells her that everything happens for a reason she’s encouraged to write a letter to him now to ask for what her heart desires, another best friend and a good man with a kind heart. But will Santa read her letter now she’s an adult?
‘Dear Santa’ is a romantic story with Lindy Carmichael who returns home broken-hearted only to find what she least expected, love and friendship. This is the perfect novel to read over the Christmas period with the warmth of the family celebrating together and Santa making visits around the town enchanting children and adults alike. The characters are so likeable that I wanted to be in Wenatchee with them, and the conclusion so heartening that I was disappointed when I reached the end. This novel has been thoroughly enjoyable and a pleasure to read, I recommend it.

Debbie always knows how to write a wonderful heartwarming book and what would the Christmas time be without a book from Debbie. Get lost within the pages of this wonderful festive and joyous book. As you discover fabulous characters q storyline guaranted to put a big smile on your face.

Dear Santa,
Please can you turn the totally wonderful and magical book Dear Santa by Debbie Macomber into a Hallmark Christmas film. It would be such a warm and cosy movie as it is book, like so many other festive titles by this always fabulous to read author.
It had me re-affirming my belief in Santa which has never wavered over the years, as I know you are real, and the Santa featured in this story definitely felt like the real deal to me, but you would know!
And seeing all of Lindy's Christmas wishes come true was really special, as was hearing the stories attached to her childhood Santa letters. There is just so much love in this book and to love about this story.
It was a very quick and easy novel to read and I loved every second of it, and it really has made me want to put my tree up already. Such a lovely concept for a book and it truly would make a great movie.
I've been a good girl this year Santa, reading so many enjoyable books including this one that I'm sure you will grant my Christmas wish.
Thanks
Rachel

Debbie Macomber never disappoints with her happy festive tales. Love, friendship and family all wrapped up with a Christmas bow.
Betrayal by best friend and boyfriend has taken the shine off the festive season but a chance meeting with an old nemesis let's sparks fly. Can't they make it work or is just a festive fling?

I whizzed through this book, loving every moment and not wanting to put it down for a moment!
It has everything you want from a Christmas story: Romance, Reconnections, Redemption, Family, Friendships, Children and those on the way too! The pacing is spot on, it kept me interested while the book rambled through each day with anticipation building with Lindy's return home looming all the closer!
There are some very special heartfelt moments in this book and I finished it with the biggest grin, it really is a feel good story.

What a great Christmas book full of family. Love and a sprinkling of magic. Debbie Macomber books always leave me with a smile and that’s exactly what this book did. I loved the children with Santa. Sledging in the snow and all the Christmas traditions.

A quick, easy and cute read that put me right into the christmas spirit. The characters were all well developed and likeable and the setting was magical. I loved it,

Lindy Carmichael isn't feeling particularly joyful when she returns home to Wenatchee, Washington, for Christmas. The man she thought was "the one" has cheated on her with her best friend, and she feels completely devoid of creativity in her graphic-design job. Not even carolers or Christmas cookies can cheer her up--but Lindy's mother, Ellen, remembers an old tradition that might lift her daughter's spirits.
Reading through a box of childhood letters to Santa and reminiscing about what she'd wished for as a young girl may be just the inspiration Lindy needs. With Ellen's encouragement, she decides to write a new letter to Santa, one that will encourage her to have faith and believe just as she'd done all those years ago. Little does Lindy know that this exercise in gratitude will cause her wishes to unfold before her in miraculous ways. And, thanks to some fateful twists of Christmas magic--especially an unexpected connection with a handsome former classmate--Lindy ultimately realizes that there is truly no place like home for the holidays.
My Opinion
I don't think I have ever read a Christmas book by Debbie Macomber but this was a lovely, quick read. This is a lovely, seasonal read that would make for a lovely relaxing read over the holiday season. An entertaining, heart-warming novel that will appeal to fans of a Christmas romance.
Rating 4/5
