For me, I’m not really sure where I stand with this book. I didn’t love it, but at the same time I didn’t dislike it either… so it was pretty much middle of the road. I’ve tried delving into the fantasy genre before, some I’ve loved, some I’ve DNF’d… for me this one was a three star read

Never before have i read a book that seems to be written by a child but also contains smut that made me cringe and consider a DNF.
I liked the story and how it played out but the smut just was not for me. As a huge dark romance fan there isnt much that makes me cringe but this book managed it.

A relatively enjoyable read though I found great difficulty in connecting with the characters. The storyline was interesting and that alone may let me read future work by this author.

Loved it Loved it Loved it!!
THE SECOND IT HIT THE KINDLE STORE I STARTED READING IT.
READ IT IN ONE SITTING BECAUSE I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.
The banter in this book was next level.
Suzanne Wright's stories are always an amazing read.
But Wynter and Cain are hands down one of my favourite of all her couples. The secondary characters are a great add on to the story. Wynters coven (sorry Wynter… not a coven) is the definition of found family. They treat each other as such; all characters have a fascinating backstory that blends really well.
The plot really was unlike anything I've yet to read from Suzanne which was why I could not put it down!!
As soon as I finished this book I wanted to turn back to page 1 and start all over again.
(And I did😜)
I will always blindly purchase any title from this author because she does not let you down.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Loved it! This book was a bit darker than her previous books I feel. And I loved it. I have only just finished and I want to read it again! Can't wait for the next book in the series

DNF @ 13%
I sadly couldn't get into this one, I just found the m/c boring, I like the premises of the book but I just couldn't find the will to care about the characters introduced and the conversations were just meh to me.

I received an e-copy of The Wicked in Me by Suzanne Wright from Little, Brown Book Group UK and Netgalley. Even though I have been gifted this book for review, all opinions are my own.
This was the first book I have read by the author and I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. This book sizzled with an amazing romance. If you love a hot and spice Fantasy Romance, then I would highly recommend this book. The story had elements of the retelling of Cain and Abel. Which to be honest I was not sure if this would be for me, but I’m happy to report that I was wrong
Thank you to the publishers for gifting me this novel to read and review.

This was a fun, sexy read that leaves you wanting more. I really enjoyed the found family aspect with Wynter’s motley crew of oddballs, the banter and silliness there was a nice way to bring lightheartedness to the story.
A strong female lead is always a win two, and plenty of sizzling scenes kept the chemistry alive between the two main characters (although, I was heavily adverse to the “barrier” and felt there are other ways to show possessiveness).
Overall an interesting story and one I will definitely be continuing to follow.

Wow! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have been patiently waiting for this book anything from Suzanne Wright is a buy now and pre order without exception. The character's are brilliant, and absolutely hilarious at times the writing is impeccable! Wynter is a witch with some serious powers, ends on a light cliffhanger but it's a satisfactory cliffhanger I promise can't go wrong with this author ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Of course I was excited when Suzanne Wright announced she was writing a new series because she’s one of my favorite authors and I just love anything new she puts out whether it’s part of an existing series or if it’s something brand new. I don’t think I fully read the synopsis for The Wicked In Meat the time as I didn’t want my excitement to be at an unmanageable level, but I did take note of the Devil’s Cradle title and I had a good feeling about it too. It was in the back of my mind peacefully existing and then I read the latest book in Ms. Wright’s Deep In Your Veins series and that’s when my eagerness for The Wicked In Me grew. In it the hero and heroine visit a place called Devil’s Cradle which I remembered was in Ms. Wright’s new project and when I went to confirm, I saw that Cain would be the hero and I was beyond looking forward to it as I was very interested in seeing more of Cain!
So when 2022 hit, naturally, I couldn’t wait until May for the first book to come out and at some point early in the year, Ms. Wright gave us the wonderful news that this series had been picked up by a publisher. I was a little bummed for me, but even more so I was happy for her. While I didn’t anticipate a little longer of a wait, it was one hundred percent worth it! I loved The Wicked In Me from the jump and it’s honestly my new favorite series from Ms Wright now!
I had such a good feeling about The Wicked in Me and it completely exceeded my expectations with how amazing it was! The world was fascinating, the characters were uber interesting, and the plot was exciting — I just could not get enough of this story! I had oodles of fun reading about Cain and Wynter and co, it was all so entertaining, there was never a dull moment and I might just have to read it again while I wait for the next two books in the series. This was definitely one of my favorite reads of the year and I absolutely cannot wait for more!

This was by far one of the best book I've read this year, and will easily be in my top 5 books of the year. Will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series

This was a really great book. Fantastic characters, brilliant storyline. Can't wait to see where this goes...

I will say the begining of this book was a chore to get to until they arrived in Devils Cradle. I was into the story at that point and loved devouring the book. this both gave us a lot to process and a lot that still is so unanswered so of course i already marked the next books to read which release this year. I liked the paranormal choices here, I loved the suspense, the magic, the plot twists, the intense sex scenes and overall the story that developed in Devil's Cradle. I liked Wynter and Cain and I feel we will get to all their secrets as the book progresses. I need answers!!!! Also the coven that isnt a coven is an amazing side team which I also feel will get more fleshed out so I am not going to hate on that .

Gentle warning, I am a big fans of this author since read her shifter series. I adore her writing style with all naughty sense of humor infuses into the fun banter. Always trust her capability to give me burning hot PNR story, brimming with loveable sexy characters and enjoyable plots.
The Wicked In Me is the first book from new series with unique universe. This one take place where all pnr creatures living together and free roaming in human shape. The ruler of the world is special entities called Aeon. They are powerful, secretive also claims as first civilization. Some name and background of them inspired by Bible characters but I sure the premise far away from religion story we hear at the Church hoho... From another side, there is Ancient basicly Aeon who get life sentences because lost war.
Between this competitive groups, our witch heroine and her Bloodrose coven exist. A mismatch characters, but together they become solid family who nonstop bickering, fight each other but love deeply and willing to keep each members safe. This new series have brilliant worldbuilding that make us want to dive deeper and get more of it. Loveable characters and make us engaged with their story.
Sadly, the romance part of this one not yet reach my expectations. My big problem is I love Wynter as MC. She mysterious, strong leader and interesting but only when she alone or with her coven. She accept their unique and push them to become better person. But when she with Cain, she is complete different. Their romance too instant for me and I cant believe their bond. I need longer warming up scenes for them build the chemistry and boiling our tensions in the same time.
Thank you Piatkus from Little Brown Book Group UK and Netgalley for provided my copy. My thoughts and opinions always become my own.

Pick up this novel and you will find it hard to put it down again, and when you have read it, you will find it easy to believe that you have actually been there experiencing the story yourself.

This is the latest in a spate of books, I wanted to like more than I did. I feel like the protagonists slept together too early in the story and there was barely any chemistry. I also hate the trope where the mail main character has an ex that's a promiscuous, jealous, unfeeling mega bitch that wants the male main character all to herself. It's like she's a cartoon villain (no disrespect to cartoon villains there are some really great anime villains out there). I think their was a lack of character building throughout the novel, halfway through the book I didn't even know who was who in Wynter's coven. I like the concept of the novel but the lack of connection between Wynter and Cain and the poor character building didn't do it for me. I confess, this book was a bit of a chore.

I loved the characters and the relationships in this! Wright really managed to bring the world to life, and I definitely found it to be a quick and easy read.

I absolutely loved this book!! The characters were amazing. They really sucked you in. I loved how different and quirky they all are! If you’re a fan of fantasy or paranormal romance read this!!! Suzanne Wright always writes a great story!

I did enjoy this book but as a fan of the author something just fell short in the relationship of the two main characters but I look forward to reading the rest of the series!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Suzanne has a way of writing stories that bring the characters to life and of course you need to be friends with them all. The wicked in Me is filled with humour and characters that spring to life from the pages. Great chemistry with Wynter and Cain. The world that has been created with the Aeons and Kali bring lots of mystery and intrigue to the story that you just need to know more.
