This book SERVED. I absolutely adored it! Its something I've never seen before and to have something so genuine in where the author LIVES in the tower of London, damn girl. Megan came to play.

I was so excited to read this book as I love anything set in London and dealing with the Royals. I found this to be really cute, fun read that I read in just a couple of days. I can't wait to read more by Megan Clawson.

Firstly, I love this title! And oh my goodness, the cover! THE ADORABLE LITTLE CORGI!!!!

This slow-burn romance is witty, romantic, original, and intriguing. I found myself pulling for Maggie and Freddie to be one another's happily-ever-after!

Also, the ravens!

This story was cute and enjoyable. It was good but not my favorite. I am not a big fan of slow burn so I think maybe that could be why I didn’t rate this one higher.

Falling Hard for the Royal Guard was a fun romcom. I had no idea people lived in the Tower of London and Megan Clawson’s descriptions made me feel like I was walking through the historic courtyards. This book took me a while to get into, but I enjoyed it in the end.

This book was very good.

Maggie lives in the Tower of London with her Dad who is a Beefeater. She has vowed never to be involved with anyone in the forces. Freddie is a Grenadier Guard who she meets by accident.

I really enjoyed the history of the Tower of London which was fascinating. The romance was good and of course a wee bit of sadness in the book.

I would recommend the book it is light hearted.

An entertaining of albeit fictional life of Maggie, whose dad is a Beefeater. A great inside into palace life without the boredom. A romantic comedy in a cute setting with very likeable characters.

This was such a cute and funny romance book. At times it had me laughing and other times it made me feel frustrated for the main character. I enjoyed reading this book and the setting was so unique. Reading about living in the Tower of London was so interesting and it was nice to know that part is based off the authors lived experience. It felt very realistic while reading and it kept me entertained.

The book is about Maggie, the main character, and her dream of having her perfect fairytale romance. Her previous relationship ended and she is having difficulty having to start dating again. She is overwhelmed by going on dates and she has some horrendous dates. There is one guy who she is interested in although he is a Royal Guard, Freddie. I loved the slow burn romance between Maggie and Freddie, it did take a while for them to realise they like each other.

The story was giving Bridget Jones vibes with Maggie being clueless around Freddie and her dating life being so tragic at times. It was a great read and had all the best elements of a rom-com. The author created a great story with a unique setting. There were also some history facts which was interesting to read about. The book did make me want to visit the Tower of London and find my own Royal Guard.

This is a solid debut book from this author and I would definitely pick up more books she writes. I highly recommend this book to everyone! Thank you to Avon Books Uk and NetGalley for sending me a copy of this book.

This was quite a differnt setting to my usual reads. I hadn't given alot of thought to royal guards in the past, so this was a pleasant change and made the book that bit more interesting, and not just a romance.
I loved the characters, especially Maggie.
This was alot of fun to read and kept me hooked to the pages from start to finish.

I was very excited to read this one but it did not capture me as I expected. It seemed more like the author really should have written more of a general fiction novel or even a non fiction book about the setting, the Tower of London, the beefeaters, and the people. I thought the romance felt more like a little of an afterthought and way more attention was given to the setting than the character development. It just didnt grab me as much as I had hoped.

This was such an incredible book! I was hooked from the start—really enjoyed the storytelling, I couldn’t put it down and can’t recommend it enough!

I ended up DNF'ing at 30% because by that point nothing had happened. So at that point it seemed like there were only a few options left. Scenario A: nothing happens for the rest of the story. Scenario B: the action picks up around halfway and everything gets crammed into the last half of the story. Scenario C: nothing happens until the very end and then everything magically resolves itself. And since none of those scenarios particularly appealed to me, I stopped reading.

Maggie lives with her father at the Tower of London, recovering from the break up of her long term relationship. Life is quiet and uneventful until the day she (literally) runs into Grenadier guardsman Freddie. Everything suddenly becomes more alive, but can Maggie and Freddie ever be more than just friends?

Falling Hard for the Royal Guard is an enjoyable story, made all the more interesting by the setting and the fascinating insights into the life and work of the beefeaters and guardsmen who reside within the Tower’s walls. My favourite character has to be the ravenmaster, who quietly goes about her life until her secret is revealed. Her and the ravens she cares for, with their own little personalities and behaviours, who provide comfort and support to Maggie.

A great read.

Falling Hard for the Royal Guard is an enchanting modern fairy tale that will sweep you off your feet! Maggie is a relatable and endearing heroine, and her adventures in the Tower of London are both hilarious and heartwarming. Freddie, the hot and aloof Royal Guard, adds the perfect touch of swoon-worthy romance to the story. The near misses and almost kisses had me on the edge of my seat, eagerly rooting for their happily ever after. If you love a delightful rom-com with a royal twist, this book is an absolute gem. A must-read for anyone seeking a charming escape into a world of love, laughter, and magic!

Ahh I really loved this book! I'd be hearing lots about it so was a bit nervous going into it....but I'm so glad that I read it. Would definitely recommend!

If you're looking for a light summer read, you'll definitely enjoy Falling Hard for the Royal Guard. The setup was so cute and I really liked the idea of a romance within the Tower of London setting. The author definitely gave me a sense of what life looks like when being employed by the royals. I appreciated the history lessons too. The romance was super sweet but I just wanted more of it. It felt like Freddie would just pop up from time to time. Instead, the book was more focused on Maggie getting over her ex and moving on from the death of her mom. I liked Maggie but her clumsiness was way over the top. I felt like every chapter she was embarrassing herself in some exaggerated way. Overall, 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Adorable, fun and original Falling Hard for the Royal Guard is romantic, heartwarming and a must read for royal fans as it's such a quirky and different take.

Laugh out loud funny debut! I loved the concept and the characters. A great light hearted romantic comedy. Will be on the look out for more from this author.

As a fellow clumsy, freckly ginger who never feels good enough to be my own main character I love this dedication.

I adore Maggie as she tries to move on following the heartbreak of her cheating ex and her insufferable work colleagues. Trying to date haphazardly in this day and age. Feeling and getting treated as one of lads.

But the toilet scene did give me the Boak.

I honestly laughing and cried just wishing I could give her a reassuring hug.

The epilogue did make me cry. Listening to the person you love the most talking to a picture of you lost loved one who they not got the chance to me in person. Telling them how much you mean the world to them, how much they love you and plan to care for. It was so heartwarming. Especially realising that they feel the exact same as you do about finally being able to be themselves because of you and your influence on them.
