Family and friends saga set in Liverpool during World War Two. Second in the series. Heartwarming and full of ups and downs for all concerned during the worst bombing Liverpool has seen. A good read.

Many thanx to NetGalley, the author and publishers for allowing me to read and review this book.

Have read most of Lyn Andrews books and looked forward to reading her newest. This book started well and just kept my interest going! Lots of very interesting characters who all had their own trials and tribulations. Another great book from a favourite author and can see that there could easily be a follow up, I sincerely hope so!

Liverpool. WWII. Monica Eustace and Joan MacDonald met as next-door-neighbours, living on Mersey View, Liverpool. Their friendship is as close as ever., though they are married now., and sharing Monica's grand house on the other side of the city. But war clouds are gathering, casting a shadow over the happy future they dream of with their young husbands. Meanwhile, in London. Joan's half-sister Bella is overwhelmed with the glitz and glamour of the city while she's training as a singer - but will she forget her friends back home.

The is the second book featuring Mersey View. All the characters are back, but this time the Germans are regularly bombing Liverpool. There's a couple of tragedies in this well written book. I loved every minute I was with Monica, Joan and both their families. Times are hard. Liverpool is slowly being destroyed, but the families support each other through thick and thin. Although this book is heartbreaking at times, it's also heartwarming. Another fantastic read by Lyn Andrews. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Headline and the author #LynAndrewa for my ARC of #GoodbyeMerseyView in exchange for an honest review.

A true family saga! I loved the feeling of love within each family and how they all pull together in difficult times.
Good friends Joan and Monica were brought up together but staying friends after marrying . They share problems going through the war.
Joan’s step sister Bella is hoping to become an opera star which presents its own problems for her guardians Lily and David, who try their best to protect her, even moving her about the country as they move her to safety There may be more danger from within the family!
I loved the elements of history, suspense and friendship in this book.

Goodbye , Mersey View by Lyn Andrews

Liverpool, World War II. Monica Eustace and Joan McDonald met as next-door-neighbours living in Mersey View in Liverpool. Their friendship is a close as ever, though they're married now, and sharing Monica's grand house on the other side of the city. But war clouds are gathering, casting a shadow over the happy future they dream of with their young husbands . . . Meanwhile, in London, Joan's half-sister Bella is overwhelmed with the glitz and glamour of the city while she's training as a singer - but will she forget her friends back home?
I've never read a book by the author that I haven't really enjoyed , and as she has wrote a fair few this goes some way to prove just what a fantastic author she is.
Really enjoyed getting to know Monica , Joan & Bella and finding about their daily lives. Look forward to reading the next in the series.
