Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
I hadn't read anything by this author before, and this is a standalone book. I liked the plot from the beginning: a husband in a coma after being dragged out of a lake in his vehicle, in a place where he wasn't expected to be. No-one seems able to give Callie, his wife, any explanation about what happened then there's a phone call - a psychic? A time-waster? What transpires takes many twists and turns and Callie faces many dangerous moments as she tries to find out more.
I thought this book was interesting and engaging, and have signed up to follow the author.

I loved this book and was surprised to enjoy the psychic/medium aspect so much! It was a fun read, suspenseful and captivating. Loved it!

Intriguing plot line with quite a few surprises. I enjoyed how as the case unravels, it is a crime writer and a medium trying to figure it out. I also liked that Callie is confronted by the question of how well she really knows her husband (who is in a coma) as there is evidence linking him to two cases of disappearing girls. What will she do next? Who will she believe?

The novel seemed a little farfetched at points, especially when Althea and Callie work together.

Overall, a solid 3/5 ⭐

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book by T.J. Breast on and it did not disappoint. I don’t like to read books involving psychics or mediums so that was the only downside to this book for me.

HER HUSBANDS LIES focuses on an author named Callie and her husband Abel. After being in an accident, Abel is in a coma and Callie is left trying to figure out the suspicious circumstances surrounding the accident.

Unbeknownst to Callie, there’s a string of murders and secrets involving Abel. She is contacted by someone who says she can give her information about these crimes but finding out might
mean she married a liar and that she’s going to lose it all.

This is one of my favorite tropes because it always makes you wonder as a woman and a wife…. What would you do?

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Thanks to Joffe and NetGalley for the ARC. Quick fun read that kept me engaged throughout. Not too in depth on the characters, but still a solid three star mystery.

This was a strange one for me. I don't really read anything with psychics or mediums or the like but something in this book captivated me so I carried on reading. I was very glad I did. This was a very clever plot with an ending I certainly didn't see coming. All in all this is a good read.

Thank you for the opportunity Her husbands Lies
I have read other books by Brearton. Some better than others. This one was good.
Callie is an author living in up state New York with her husband Abel. They have a good life and a good marriage. A bad accident puts her husband in a coma but the circumstances and investigation do not feel right to Callie so she starts her own plan to find out what really happened.
She gets a call from a young woman who claims she can see things and she has visions of what happened to Abel
Callie is drawn into a web of murders and missing people and it appears her husband may be involved. But he’s in a coma and she’s starting to think he had secrets and maybe he is a killer.
Her search for the truth might just mean she loses everything important including the life she cherished and a husband she may not have known at all.

Callie and Abel live relatively secluded in the Adirondacks. She is an author and her husband is a carpenter and tradesman. Their son and only child is attending college about two hours away. They are happy and content until one night Abel skids off the road and into a frozen lake. While he is in a coma in a nearby hospital, Callie tries to cope and deal with what the future might hold for their family. It it only gets worse when she receives a call from a woman who claims to know about the accident even though no witnesses have been found. While Callie is skeptical, she is determined to find out why Abel was in that area and how the accident occurred.

Her Husband’s Lies has an interesting plot that involves deception, a psychic, and mysterious agendas. While it is a well-written story, it seemed to move a little slow for me. By and large I didn’t have a lot of sympathy for most of the characters, and as the story progressed the plot became more far-fetched and implausible. However, there were also moments that drew my attention and provided suspense to the story which is why I will give it 3 stars.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book for review.

This is my fifth novel by Timothy Brearton and I found it to be most engrossing. The author has done himself proud with this psychological thriller. The story focuses on Callie who lives in the Adirondacks with her husband, Abel, a carpenter and caretaker. One night her husband has a car accident and ends up in a coma. The police can't establish exactly what happened but weeks later, Callie gets a call from a woman named Althea Cooper from Syracuse, New York who claims to know some of the details of what befell Abel. And it's bad! I was totally riveted watching the story progress and the tale really hurtled along. I just had to know what happened next and the curveballs all lead to an exciting, neat finale. A 5-star read for sure!

I received a complimentary copy of this novel from Joffe Books via NetGalley at my own request. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

Her husband lies is a fast paced thriller, a husband in a coma, missing girls and a big secret? Who did it!

I like how the story is told by the wife unravelling clues and details about her husband based on what the ‘psychic’ tells her. It’s very cleverly written and keeps the readers attention.

I had a feeling from the start it wasn’t all that it seemed and that her husband may or may not have been more involved in the missing girls.

Some points I felt were a little far fetched but overall I enjoyed the story.

Thank you

Good storyline! This is about a woman whose husband ends up in a coma after a car accident. Six weeks after his accident/coma, she receives a call from a woman stating that she knows what really happened. This is a good book, but it went a little too slow for me. It was hard with the two different story lines of the husband being in a coma and the two girls that went missing years prior. Thank you to net galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and TJ Brearton for this book. Callie is a novelist and her husband Abel is in a coma. Abel was found on a road that he normally didn’t travel on so the police don’t have a definite answer on what happened to him and what caused him to crash. Then weeks later Callie gets a call from a woman named Althea who claims to know what happened to her husband. Callie alerts the police and learns that she claimed to see things and had done something similar to another woman who’s daughter went missing. Callie begins to investigate and starts to learn things about her husband and begins to suspect her husband may have been responsible for two missing girls that went missing in places that her husband worked at for carpentry and caregiving. Callie and Althea investigate a cabin and it is later discovered that her brother in law is behind things. Callie’s brother in law and his girlfriend are in town and Callie’s son gives her that information and Callie discovers he helped Abel with his jobs and when he goes to Callie’s house he ends up dying by a gun shot. Then it ends up being Althea and her brother all along and they find the graves of three missing girls. Abel wakes up at the end of the novel and they decide to maybe sell their house.

An ARC thanks to NetGalley and Joffe Books - a twisty thriller of marriage, lies, and unknowns. Did Callie’s husband have something to do with the missing girls? And how do you ask when he’s in a coma?
The ending I did not foresee, and while sometimes I had a hard time keeping track of names and how everyone was involved, it all was wrapped up nicely in the end.

So many twists!!!! I loved that I didn't see the ending coming. I just wish they would have gone deeper into Able's past.
