In Listen to Your Day, Paul Angone gives us thoughtful tips and advice on finding true purpose in our lives. Not with some new, complicated program or philosophy- but by teaching us how to listen and pay attention to the details of our day.

In this quick read, packed full of wisdom and action items, you will learn the value of truly paying attention. Limiting distractions, knowing what is important to our soul, and living a life that focuses on those things. Paul Angone's Godly perspective is refreshing and inspiring for people from all walks of life and all ages.

I appreciated that this book was not theoretical or conceptual, but instead was straight forward and practical with a framework anyone can employ starting today. A quote from the book says it perfectly: "No self-help book can you give you the exact formula for leading a successful, fruitful, meaningful life. A book can, and should, help you lay the groundwork." He goes on to say that how you build the house will be based on the framework you have been building your life on.

I recommend this book for anyone who feels they are running on a hamster wheel, feeling unfulfilled and distracted in this world that is shouting at us from all directions- the ideas and suggestions in this book can help you pay attention to your day in such a way that you are living for the things that are most important to you.

Fantastic book! It was practical but insightful, easy to read but not fluff. So many of us are coasting through life, numbing out, mindlessly going through each day. This book is a reminder to wake up, pay attention, and take responsibility for your one life. I loved it.

Listen to Your Day is one of the best self-help books I've read in a while. I'm not usually a fan of Christian authors/themes, but the overall message of this book is applicable to everyone and not very preachy.

What matters to you? How do you want to spend your time? Really think about it, and then prioritize those things.

Beautiful message, and easy to read.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Listen to Your Day
The Life-Changing Practice of Paying Attention

I am reviewing a copy of Listen tonYour Day through Baker Books and Netgalley:

This book asks the questions What are you supposed to do with your life? What deserves your limited reserve of energy, attention, and time? What's making you anxious or frustrated right now? What would make you happy and fulfilled?

The answers to the above questions are being shouted by the world , but the real answers are quieter and right in front of you. They are in the details of your day, every day. But we usually look right past them. Or we are simply so distracted we've lost the ability to see and hear the life going on right in front of us. If we're not intentional about changing this trend, this "inattentional blindness" can rob us of years of joyful productivity. But when we learn to observe the details of our days, we discover new lenses through which to see and new practices of paying attention that add meaning to life.

Listen to Your Day Reminds us to stop drifting, Stop worrying. Stop living distracted. Walk purposefully through life with a firm grasp on what's important to you and what you're working toward--all by listening to the details of your day.

I give Listen To Your Day five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!
