A family favorite that came with a new look, with newer but still stunning illustrations.
I really enjoyed this book, that talks in a sweet way about the importance of family and how from a disappointing situation can come something good.
The new look had me skeptical at first but I liked even a bit more than the old one.
I would highly recommend this for kids aged around 4

My kids love Caillou and my daughter was super excited to get a 'ipad' book to read.
They enjoyed Caillou's imagination and learning how to spell 'knight' and loved that the dragon was nice. It seemed like a pretty normal episode of the show. I think most Caillou fans would enjoy this.

my son and I enjoy watching Caillou on TV and had to review the book. Caillou, a boy with adventures, embarks on a storytime journey with his dad, knights and plenty of imagination mixed in, encourages children to use their own imaginations to create adventures of their own. Robin Brights words, brought the story to life to make the book seem like you are a part of the story also. If you have children you could never go wrong with any Caillou book.

To start, I'd like to extend a thank you to the author, Robin Bright, Chouette, and NetGalley for the privilege of being able to read Caillou: The Silver Knight, a children's picture book. I will share my review to Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble upon release.
Caillou: The Silver Knight is a very cute tale that children who love Caillou will enjoy. It is filled with bight colors and the well-known and beloved family of Caillou, a rambunctious little boy that has captured children's hearts for years now. The story itself is very cute, and reminds us that family is a valuable and important part of our lives we should never take for granted. When Caillou's friends aren't able to play, his dad tells a story that keeps him entertained and reminds him of how much his family loves him. His mom and little sister also have an important role to play! Children will love this one and I'd recommend to Caillou fans and their adults.

This is a nice heartwarming story about what makes a family.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

Such a cute book! I used to watch Cailou when I was younger, then my daughter did and now my son loves the show! Let's just say our household is a Cailou loving home! Can't wait to read more Cailou books as a family!

This is such a sweet book, my grandchildren loved Caillou on TV when they were a little younger and this is great for little ones with friendly relatable illustrations. Even the dragon is cute! The message is easily understandable and could generate discussion no matter the age of the listener or reader. My only bugbear is that they play checkers when in the UK it is more commonly known as draughts.
I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the opinions expressed are my own. I would happily add this book to my grandchildren's book collection. Recommended age up to 6 or 7 years.

The story was interesting. The illustrations were interesting as well. My son seemed to enjoy it. I recommend for toddlers.

I found this title engaging and fun. The illustrations especially are colourful and engaging for small children. This would be a good choice for a fairy tale themed story time session.

My only complaint with this book is that it’s a bit long, but I’m assuming it is based on an episode of Caillou, so that makes sense. I liked the illustrations, the story is nice, and I think any kid that’s a Caillou fan would enjoy having this book in their collection.

Calliou: The Silver Knight is probably best for young children who are already fans of Calliou. The book follows a story within a story format with the general lessons of appreciating family and dealing with disappointment. It’s always a bit disappointing when children’s books use images from shows as the illustrations in a book, as this one does. I would have preferred actual illustrations but fans of the show will likely appreciate and recognize the images directly. My 6 year old liked the story and especially the dragon.
Thank you to NetGalley, Robin Bright and Chouette Publishing for the eARC.

Cute story in the Calillou series. A little boy becomes the knight that sets out to find missing sheep. The queen needed the missing sheep to knit warm clothes for the king. The silver knight is unable to get into the castle. He devises a clever plan using a seesaw to 'cat-apult" him over the wall. Lo and behold, there's the benign dragon playing checkers with the missing sheep. All ends well when the sheep are released, enabling the queen to knit warm clothes. If you're a fan of the series, you'll enjoy this addition to your collection. Engaging images will keep the youngsters entertained and ask you to read it to them over and over.

Caillou Another great adventure, a really enjoyable read about family and friends and that you are never alone and can work though any situation.
Thank you for the chance to read and review

My Granddaughter loved Caillou when she was younger so to be nostalgic I read this book. It’s a cute story of showing how important family is. The illustrations were very colorful and sure to appeal to children.

Caillou: The Silver Knight is a fantastic addition to the Caillou book collection. Caillou is disappointed that he can't pay with his friend, but daddy has a story to tell that is entertaining to read about and also teaches a valuable lesson. If you love Caillou, this is one book that you will want to try!

It is an adapted comic version of a TV show. This is a good story on make children learn on how to be happy within their family. It tells them to find their friends in their family and do not hope from other to be you all the time like your family members do. Usually we tend to make friends and hope to spend time with them but when they couldn't spare that time we need, we got disappointed and eventually depressed. So, we must always try to engage with our family first.
Also, it gives a learning to parents to be with their children as a friends in addition to their prime responsibility of being their whole & sole guardians. This reflects on the family ties being more important than societal ones. After-all, if it is a good one, then blood always speaks better and well than complete society.
Story is fun but average but as it is moral giving so I do not complain on the content as context is much better.

This was a sweet little story about Caillou who wanted to play pretend he was a knight. His Father told him a story about knights and dragons.
The Royal family have lost their sheep to a dragon in a castle and they need them to make the King a woolly hat, he’s so cold! The little Knight embarks upon a journey to save the stolen sheep.
This was funny in places and my little ones laughed out loud when Caillou face planted the wall. In the end, the little Knight needed the help of his family to fulfill his quest - a nice little message to little readers.
The illustrations were vivid and bright, Caillou is very cute. It kept the interest of my 4 and 6 year old and it was a pleasure to read.

My daughter loves Caillou and has loads of the books so when I was given the chance to read an ARC of this book I jumped at it. Needless to say it did not disappoint. My daughter absolutely loved it and cannot get enough of it.

Great kids book. My 6 year old son loved the illustrations. We will recommend this book to all young kids in the K-2 age range. The story was easy to follow.
Thank you for the copy, this is my honest opinion.

I admittedly don't always love when my children check out "character" books from the library; they are often not very well written and hard for kids to follow. Caillou books seem to be an exception though! This story was cute and I loved the focus on the importance of family. I tell my kid all the time that they are each other's built in best friends, so I enjoyed seeing a similar message relayed in this book. I don't necessarily know that Caillou "needed" an updated look, but the new illustrations do look more modern.
