First of all, let me just say that this was one of my favourite books of the year, in fact, it has quite literally become one of my all time favourite books ever! I loved this so much I cannot describe in words. I loved this woven kingdom, it is very near and dear to me, but these infinite threads blew me away. The kingdom of Tulan was beautiful and the world building, while only spanned over a few days, blew me away. Cyrus and Alizeh and their development was amazing, as was their story and their dynamic. I love getting to know more about the plot, and while so much of it is still a mystery, I am so unbelievably happy with this second instalment. I cannot wait to read the next book!!

I loved being back in this world, especially with how This Woven Kingdom ended! I was so happy that this book jumped straight back in with the story and I really enjoyed getting to know our characters in more depth, especially Cyrus who is now one of my favourites.

Whilst I will admit not much happened plot wise, with the whole book spanning over a few days at most, I feel like we got a lot more world-building and answers questioned from the first book. I feel like we got to learn more about the Jinn and the magic in the world.

Overall I really enjoyed this one and cannot wait for the next book in this series! I'm intrigued to see what happens with our main characters and what decisions are made!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Loved it!

It was a great second book! It sometimes felt like nothing was happening but all the while all the things were happening. Does that make sense?

I cannot wait to see what happens next. What will Alizeh do? Will she fulfill her destiny or forge her own path?!

I Will Be Suffering(™️) until book 3 releases. I still love Alizeh and Cyrus and the dialogue was still so hilarious.
Even though I felt that not much happened plot-wise I couldn’t finish this quick enough which is a testament to Tahereh’s writing style.
The descriptions and emotions are beautiful and I really enjoyed this book!

Omg this book is SO unhinged😂 this book should be categorized in humor genre istg😂😂

Let’s be honest, the plot was probably just taking 30% of the book’s proportions. The rest of it was dialogues and 90% of those dialogues were BANTERS. And its so hilarious I don’t know what to say anymore. Been a while since I physically kicking and trashing my feet while reading BUT THIS BOOK MADE ME DO IT. Sure, there’s some emotional moments but its not much. The bickering was all that’s matters.

Can’t wait for the final book. At this point I don’t care about the plot anymore because the character dynamics were everything. Hope it gets more ridiculous than this haha. 4,25⭐️

Actual rating 3.5/5 stars. This is the second instalment in the This Woven Kingdom series.

This is the second novel in an epic and romantic trilogy, inspired by Persian mythology featuring Alizeh, a servant hiding her ancient Jinn ancestry and the impact she can have on the future of the world, and Kamran, the prince who fears losing both his father and his kingdom but never assumes that the strange-eyed servant might be the cause for his concerns.

These two characters open the novel in markedly different circumstances than they did in book one. Alizeh's true self is no longer hidden and she has been transported from one enemy's kingdom to another's. Kamran is aware of her history and her intentions and, whilst mourning the death of his grandfather, must discover what he is to do about the girl who could end his life and alter his future.

There was much hatred for the other felt but they both also, strangely, couldn't drown out the calling in their hearts to belong and to trust the other. I'm glad this was made immediately apparent and that misunderstanding did not make up the majority of the plot progression, as this is one of my least favourite tropes.

Initially, I also feared that Cyrus', a new central character's, entrance into the novel would be so he could fulfil the role of the third party in a boring love triangle. I was pleased to be so mistaken. His character played a primary role in this story and understanding who he truly was, and what his intentions were, plagued me whilst reading this. I really enjoyed never being truly sure if he was a figure to trust or not as it made all scenes featuring him exciting and unpredictable.

I wish more of a focus on this world had been granted as the two kingdoms seemed like fascinating ones to explore. Despite this, I remained intrigued and absorbed throughout this and was only disappointed, upon completing the story, to find that I have a whole year left to wait before I can begin the final series instalment.

Tahereh Mafi has done it once again. I will literally read her shopping list. The writing is as beautiful as ever. I read this book in a day, I loved it that much.

I love Tahereh Mafi so much, These woven Threads was amazing and I was so looking forward to this book, I was not disappointed in anyway, well I lie I was frustrated when it ended on a cliffhanger (only because I have to know what happens next and I don’t have the book for the answers) I am eagerly awaiting the next book, if it’s as good as the first two then I’ll be a happy fan, definitely recommend

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy of this book in return for an honest opinion

After having read This Woven Kingdom and enjoying it, I wasn’t too sure what to expect with this sequel but I definitely had high hopes. It took me a while to remember the events of the first book and this book begins right in the middle of the action as a direct continuation of this woven kingdom. Didn’t take me long to catch on to the events and then things were happening so fast. I loved the depth that we saw the characters, there was definitely a lot more space to explore after book 1 and these infinite threads didn’t hesitate to give us a lot more backstory for not only Kamran and Alizeh but Cyrus too who we’d barely known in book 1. It was really interesting seeing his character develop and change how we as readers and Alizeh viewed him. The writing style, I must note, was rather interesting too. There was something about it that felt very poetic and was beautiful to read. Overall a very good sequel!

I'm sure all bookworms can agree that the greatest feeling, after finishing a sequel you've been eagerly anticipating, is when it leaves you feeling thoroughly satisfied. One of the best things about this series is the main character, Alizeh. I just adore her so much. She's kind, compassionate, and strong willed. It's been a while since I've loved a main character quite as much as her. Plot wise, this picks up exactly where book one ended. There is a lot of exploring and set up, which leaves room for an action packed finale. The secondary characters were great, from Omid and Hazan to (unexpectedly) Miss Huda.

I won't lie. The thing I was most nervous about when going into These Infinite Threads was what direction the romance would take. I wasn't a fan of the romance between Kamran and Alizeh in the This Woven Kingdom as it was too insta-lovey for me. Especially on the side of Kamran. I was more interested in getting to know Cyrus, the mysterious character we're introduced to towards the end of the first book. I mean I was already shipping them and they hardly even had any page time! Well, my wish was answered, we get to know more about him in this book as Alizeh is whisked away to his kingdom. And wow, chapter 23. Swoon, is all I'll say. Still, I have to admit that I'm scared about the final book in the trilogy. I have no idea how the romance is going to play out, especially as Mafi did me dirty with the romance in Unravel Me, I just pray that's not the case here.

These Infinite Threads was definitely was one of my favourite books of 2022. The wait for book three is going to be painful!

OH MY.

The sequel to one of my favourite books of 2022. The rich worldbuilding was so amazing, and I loved seeing Alizeh, Kamran and getting to know more about Cyrus. It is a chunky book, and i didn't reread before starting this, but it was easy to follow, although the pace was a little slower in the middle. And the writing by MRS MAFI was as gorgeous as ALWAYS!

Thanks to netgalley for an e-arc!

I need more!!!!!!!!!! I will be honest the first book was not my favourite (I listened to the audiobook), but I was itching to read the next installment after the cliffhanger. Also, I want to take a moment to admire this beautiful cover, it is so gorgeous.

this book just proves how talented tahereh mafi is at writing books with immense characters, intrigue, plot and romance. it was so so good.
this is such a strong sequel to an already great book, if anything i enjoyed it more because of the different dynamics and where the story is going. the worldbuilding itself is incredible, its rich and so so magical, true escapism done to such a high standard!!
i also really love the complexities and layers of the characters and how they grapple with themselves, it makes them so well substantiated and relatable, especially alizeh who questions everything she knows in this book.
i also adored the growing relationship between cyrus and alizeh, it was angsty but cautious and it kept me on my toes and had me hooked to the book, im genuinely not sure what will become of it especially when kamran comes back into the picture, creds to mafi’s insane writing intrigue.
i really adored this book, it was so immersive and its truly magical. its excellently written with good plot points, and i liked how it picked
up where we finished from the woven kingdom, getting right to it and seeing where it was going.
alizeh’s chapters were my favourite, they were gripping and paced really well, i loved seeing her develop and adapt throughout the book.
will for sure be recommending this, its a really really strong book, with 3 incredible main characters and it was consistently unpredictable, i had no idea what was going to happen next, drawing me in.
thank you to farshore my arc i LOVED reading these infinite threads, tahereh mafi absolutely pulled it out the bag, as always <3

4.5 stars

Tahereh Mafi has done it again, this series really is her best work. The writing and prose was once again beautiful, the story pacing was just right (save for a couple of Kamrans chapters dragging) and I loved the plot.

It was really nice to see more of the other kingdoms, to see more character backgrounds and realise how (as the first book suggested) woven together everything was.

In terms of the romance, I have complicated feelings about it. On the one hand I love Kamran and I’m rooting for him and Alizeh but some of his decisions are questionable. One the other hand I do NOT want Cyrus to marry Alizeh, he’s manipulative and conniving and selfish. From what we know of him rn he only really cares about himself and I hate the way he thinks he is entitled to Alizeh because he saw her in his dreams and fell in love with her. His whole speech after she said no to a real marriage was very gaslighty. But also he’s attractive and his scenes with Alizeh have me second guessing myself just like her.

The ending felt kind of abrupt in my opinion and I felt like a couple more chapters and a better cliffhanger was needed.

Overall, I do love this series and I look forward to seeing how it all ends. The third book definitely has the potential to be great.

5/5 stars! OMG. I have still not forgiven myself for not realizing that "This Woven Kingdom" was going to be a trilogy last year. I devoured the first book and have been impatiently waiting to find out what happened with Kamran and Alizeh since. This book was EVERYTHING! I kept getting angry while reading it because Cyrus was giving off Rhysand energy and I didn't want that for our boy Kamran. This story was so intricately woven that even while cursing one character's name, you still found yourself rooting for them. This book added depth to Alizeh's history and lost kingdom and how our queen may take her rightful place. Kamran was frustrating during this story. I felt for his loss but was so frustrated at his inability to trust Alizeh for the majority of the story. The cliffhanger was present but not too upsetting. I'm eager for the next book but will try to be more patient waiting this time around.

I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

These Infinite Threads is the sequel to This Woven Kingdom, and in many ways, it was better than it. The pacing improved drastically compared to its predecessor, and I was invested enough in the story and the characters to read the whole thing in one sitting. It feels like all the setup with the world building and the backstory of the first book paid off, cause this one went straight to the good stuff.

The story continues to be a dual POV between Alizeh and Kamran. While I always had a preference for Alizeh’s chapters, I didn’t dislike Kamran as much in this book. He made a few decisions that surprised me in a positive way. I feel like not having him as a love interest made him more likeable, and his interactions with the other characters – especially Hazan – were quite fun.

Alizeh’s chapters were more focused on her relationship with Cyrus, something I was looking forward to since the end of This Woven Kingdom. Their interactions did not disappoint, it was all I hoped for and more. Once you get used to how dramatic these characters are, the enjoyment is unmatched. It’s a great dynamic that really gives you that buzz.

As much as I loved reading it, this book is not without its faults. The ending was too abrupt, and not in a cliffhanger kind of way, but in a way that felt like a chunk of the book was missing. I kept waiting for a big twist like we had in the first book, something to end it with a bang, but nothing came.

This book could've been longer and more important, the timeline of the events could've been stretched out a little. Everything happened in the span of 2 days which made it all feel a bit too rushed for my liking. I understand that the author might be saving some cards for the final book in the series, but I think the progression of the plot could've been better. It seems like too much was left unanswered, there's too many things that still need to happen and that worries me a little.

Despite that, I loved the book and I cannot wait to see what unfolds in the last book. I don't have a clue how I'm going to manage to wait until 2024 for it.

Alizeh and Kamran are back in this phenomenal follow up to This Woven Kingdom. After the dramatic ending to the last book, I couldn't wait to see what this follow up had in store and it did not disappoint!

I've really really enjoyed the world building in this series so far, and can't wait to learn more about the Jinn and where the story will go from here. Don't know how I'm going to survive the wait for the next book!

I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This Woven Kingdom came out almost exactly a year ago, and in that review I said that I didn't hate it and didn't love it, but I did want to see where it was going. Well...here's where it's going.

The usual problem with recaps is not quite as bad here, as the penultimate scene is replayed from a different point of view and then the last one is partly replayed before moving on past the cliffhanger. Still. there's no attempt to remind us of anything that's been going on or who people are or anything else. I found a lot of the chapters ended very abrutply, as well; Tahereh was trying to create mini cliffhangers, in my opinion, but it didn't work very well for me.

(I also think we're moving towards redemning Cyrus, and I'm not sure how that will work in the end. I have a theory, but I won't write it here.)

The cliffhanger on this one is rather less literal than the last, but still very much a cliffhanger, so be aware of that.

The descriptions are still fantastic and we get to see some new locales this time around, which are really well thought out and described. I did notice something odd in the narration - Tahereh was using an old form of grammar that made me think of Enid Blyton, where things would be described like this (sentence made up as an example): She had never dared to think such a thing, for it couldn't be real. That for in the middle felt very old fashioned to me!

I didn't exactly enjoy or not enjoy this, and I will read the last volume if I can to find out what happens. It's certainly a very beautiful story.

The action in this book is great. You feel even more connected to this world as you set in a second time Alizeh, Kamran and Cryups are all unquie in thier own ways.

You will find with this triangle yourself rooting for one or the other Kamran or Cryups. Which will she decide upon.

It's a very interesting and engaging; the various scenes and creatures paint a vivid image in your imagination. I absolutely adore the enemies to lovers to enemies vibes through out the, in addition to the mysteries that are only now beginning to be solved. I'm already looking forward to the next one.
