This one grabbed my attention from the first chapter and I finished it faster than other books. I really enjoyed reading this book from beginning to the end.
Ensley is a maid of honor at her best friend's wedding and when bride needed a big help she comes to rescue except she was thrown out of the venue with her brother's former best friend Drew. She had biggest crush on Drew since she was 12 and when he sorta comes to rescues her except both were out of the venue and it starts pouring. They ended up in the gardening shed away from the wedding and things were getting spicy when they finally found their wedding party. It seemed like it was one time thing except Drew sends her an email with cat picture.
Ensley had it rough when growing up and she always had fond memories of Drew's home where his mom always baked cookies. It started from a simple email exchange to Ensley going to Georgia to help Drew's veterinarian office. Everything seems fine until little secrets reveal and crush wasn't just on one side.
It is cute story of grumpy and sunshine, best friend's little sister and small town vibe. It was funny, sweet. If you like cats in the story this is pretty good one.

Ensley had a crush on Drew ever since they were kids. So when an act of rebellion leads to an unexpected reunion, her feelings are quickly reignited. Drew is the grumpy veterinarian who can’t help but see his friend’s little sister differently now that they’re grown up. But their lives are entirely different now, and he may not be the right guy to rescue her from her current situation.

There were parts of this story that I really enjoyed, and other parts I could’ve done without. The wedding mishap with virtually no further mention of those involved was also odd to me.

Overall, it was mostly enjoyable. It was a quick read, with no slumps or dry spots that slowed me down.

Sweet and very easy to get into- a perfect book for someone in a reading slump. Thank to the publisher and Netgalley for the review copy.

This was a really cute, funny, and quick read, but if felt a little bit rushed for me. Ensleys gumption was wonderful, and theoretically Drew was a deam but it just didn't really gel for me.

This was a cute quick read.

Ensley and Drew have known each other for years. He was her brother's best friend. They end up meeting up in an interesting way as they are both part of mutual friends' wedding, are locked out of where the ceremony is, and spend time in a shed. They get a little frisky before they are found. And we learn they both had feelings for each other previously, before the other knows.

Dual point of view was fun as they continue texting each other once he heads back to ATL to his veterinarian office. Turns out he is a grump at work and has a hard time keeping a front desk person. Ensley plans to go to ATL to visit her sister and decides to take some vacation time to help out in his office. She plans to stay the week, he thinks she is there for good, and there's some miscommunication.

Their banter, both in person and by text, was fun and flirty. I loved her three date challenge. I would have liked a little more of his growth arc, but still a cute read.

Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for an eARC.

This was a cute, fun read! Ensley meets Drew, her childhood crush, at her friend’s wedding, and after a complete wedding disaster, they end up getting kicked out of the posh country club!

There were sweet moments, as well as laugh out loud ones. This was a quick read, but it felt like it had a completely unrushed ending, which I appreciated.

Be warned, there is the miscommunication trope, I didn’t mind it in this one! It felt reasonable.

Overall, I would recommend this one!

The Wedding Confession by JJ Knight is highly enjoyable. I found myself lost in this book and enjoyed the romance between the two main characters.

Such a fun read! I gasped in the first scene as a wedding calamity unfolded. The leads have chemistry from the start, but I really appreciated the friend and sister and the backstory of the heroine. I liked seeing a character have a normal job (at a bank) where she worked hard and her financial issues and obligations felt real. Her backstory really grounded the book and made the romance feel special.
I also blurbed this book which appears in JJ Knight's next book The Wedding Shake-Up, which I also enjoyed!

What a great read to binge on a cold rainy day from your comfy bed! Looking forward for the next book in the series. I also checked out the audio version and definitely recommend it too. Perfect mix of flirty fun, but also meaningful. The childhood trauma was handled perfectly, but if that's a trigger for you then maybe avoid this book. The pacing was perfect, the main character was lovable, great ending. What more can a bookworm like me ask for?!

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

Good book that had its good parts. There were a few slow ones but overall it did not effect the story.

I’ve found it really nice, a cute light read, finished it in one sitting. I dont really like playboy male leads but this was fun.

I love a book with good banter and this one had it! I really enjoyed this short romantic comedy with a dash of spicy. There were some moments that brought me out of the plot (random childhood trauma?), but it was a good story that was enjoyable but felt a little rushed. Might have been me, but I would give this author another try though because all in all I really liked her writing style.

Ensley James is determined to support her best friend through wedding events, even if it means dealing with a stepmother who makes Cinderella's seem like a paragon of love. Despite her best efforts, Ensley gets banished from the wedding, left stranded outside the country club in her picture-worthy bridesmaid's dress, enduring torrential rain. Enter Drew Daniels, her brother's best friend, who rescues her, leading to hopes of something more until he reveals he's a strictly one-night kind of guy. Undeterred, Ensley goads the broody veterinarian into giving her three dates.

The book features Ensley, a cheerful and supportive friend, and Drew, a broody veterinarian exuding hotness. Ensley's happiness and hope add a cute dynamic to the story, while Drew's moody and in-charge attitude complements her well. Their chemistry and banter create an engaging interplay throughout the book.

Very cute wedding rom com and an appropriate amount of spice. Not much more to say here as it is slightly forgettable for the avid romance reader.

Ensley James may be practicing positivity, but that doesn’t stop her feeling rage when her best friend’s wedding looks like it’ll be derailed by said bestie’s stepmother. When Ensley steps up, she ends up kicked out of the posh country club, but on the plus side she’s followed out by Drew Daniels, groomsman, Ensley’s brother’s former best friend, and Ensley’s long-time crush. When the pair get trapped in a small shed during a storm, it becomes apparent Drew is a one-nighter kind of guy. And following the wedding, the pair don’t expect to see each other again, until Ensley turns up in Drew’s vet clinic, and they really can’t seem to keep away from each other.

I love that the first time we meet Ensley she’s standing up for her bestie, though I admit it was a little frustrating when the bride didn’t have Ensley’s back in return, but of course this is just the inciting incident for the novel and we soon meet Drew – got to love a meet cute that involves one of the characters being escorted out by security! Ensley has not had the easiest life, but it’s clear Drew was a bright spot in a difficult childhood, and clear why she looks upon him as a hero who could save her. When the pair get trapped in the shed, the chemistry is practically sizzling off the page, and it was really sweet to see Ensley slowly draw Drew out.

Then we find out Drew is a grumpy, hates-people-loves-animals vet, who doesn’t (currently) have pets of his own because of how little he’s actually at home. As a boss, he’s a jerk, and his clinic struggles to hold onto any receptionists because of his attitude. But when he takes a kitten home for ‘just one night’ (the cat distribution system works), he starts to soften, even more when Ensley, visiting her sister, appears in the clinic.

I can’t really say more than that for the plot, except that Ensley challenges Drew’s one night rule and suggests they go on three dates, finishing what was started in the shed and to help him realise the world won’t end if he sees a woman more than once. I really love the way some writers can introduce an innocent sounding element to a story that plays a larger role when it’s considered – through the kitten, Drew shows a compassionate side, there are parallels between her and Ensley with their fierceness, and Ensley notices early on how Drew was adamant he would not adopt, but finds room in his life for the cat. Plus, it results in some really adorable scenes.

Yes, there are misunderstandings, yes both characters withhold information, which I tend to find a little frustrating, but with the way Ensley and Drew are set up, it makes sense with them and really allows them both to grow. Overall, if you enjoy fun, contemporary romances with loveable sunshine(ish)/grumpy characters, with some cute-as-hell animals thrown into the mix, I definitely think you’ll enjoy this one.

I personally really liked this book. The author has presented it quite entertainingly. This is kinda feel good book, that comes with guaranteed happy ever after, you don't have to stress out so much. Plus, the ending was chefs kiss good.

The Wedding Confession is a grumpy/sunshine and brothers best friend type of romance. I really enjoyed it although it was tough to read it at times due to the baggage of the characters. I liked the two of them together, they had strong chemistry and I was happy with the ending.
