It is interesting to have two of the main characters as writers, and this gave me an insight into what a writer’s life is like. The Greek island setting provides a good sense of place with beautiful descriptions. I would have liked the book to have more of a plot, most of it is dialogue and characters thinking about their emotions and actions. If a friend asked me to recommend a Sarah Morgan book I wouldn’t suggest this one as I have preferred others, but complete fans of this writer will no doubt love it more than I did.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Sarah Morgan is a skilled author who develops a credible (if sometimes outrageous) plot and created characters who are always interesting and engage the emotions.

This story is about Catherine a famous and successful writer, her estranged daughter Aldeline and the latter’s half sister Cassie. Catherine’s 4th marriage is the catalyst for bringing the women together.

SM does not back off presenting her heroines as flawed and unattractive at times. Catherine initially comes across as a selfish and unfaithful wife who had an affair, got pregnant and divorced her husband and married the baby’s father - the love of her life and then after his death married again and divorced. Sheiks upset because she for a change, she isn’t the any Times bestseller number one. Already we know a lot about her and don’t like much!

When we meet baby from the affair, Cassie and discover her adulation of her mother and her total belief in the ‘love of her life’ story, we know something is going to come up. When we meet the cold and unforgiving Adeline who blames her mother for everything that’s gone wrong in her life,, we know something’s coming.

I guessed who the 4th husband was very early on and wondered why the author kept it a secret from the reader (never mind the daughters!).

The development of the story was fabulous. The reactions of the daughters, the appearance of Adeline’s old friend Stefano, the conversations between the sisters, and everyone else were all handled brilliantly.

I think this is definitely a 5 star read. I received an ARC from NetGalley and the author - but my review is totally independent.

Another absolute DELIGHT from Sarah Morgan.

I really loved this book, it felt like one of Sarah's more REAL and RELATABLE books. The characters were great, not all sunshine and flowers but some real characteristics because of real trauma. I liked how cold and distant Adeline was and it made a real impact on the story.

I loved the unfolding of the story and I felt that all three main characters had a lot going on separately but it also intertwined really beautifully. I liked that this book had a slightly darker element to it and it definitely added to the story.

I think this is actually one of my favourites from Sarah! Thank you Netgalley!

Sarah Morgan is one of the most reliable chicklit authors out there and this book is no exception from it’s idyllic setting, to the relatable three female leads, with a few twists along the way.

Best selling author Catherine Swift is getting married for the 4th time. She has invited her two daughters Cassie and Adeline to celebrate with her and two other guest on the gorgeous island of Corfu that she calls home.

Adeline and her mother have a tricky relationship. She has felt betrayed, unwanted and cast aside by her mother for the past two decades. After Catherine broke her dad's heart, by cheating on him, and getting pregnant with another man's baby. Adeline wants really doesn't want to go to the wedding. But feels like she really must.

Cassie adores her mother and can't wait for her mother to have another happy ending. After the sudden death of her dad 15 years ago Cassie has felt that her mother deserves another happy ending. So she literally cannot wait to go back to the island that she called home for so long.

But what meets them there is nothing that they expected. The stories that they have been lead to believe are all about to change. Everyone's lives are about to be turned upside down and the family are going to be brought together in many unexpected ways.

There's family drama, healing, friendship love turning into romantic love, new love, family love, sisterly love, truths being told, happiness being found, forgiveness, and growth. It's a book about truths, dreams coming true and finding your happily ever afters.

Another wonderful book by best selling author Sarah Morgan. Don't miss it.

I always enjoy Sarah Morgan's stories, and read this in one sitting. On the surface it is a story of two estranged sisters and their mother, rebuilding their difficult relationships and coming to terms with their shared past history. I loved the insight into the difficulties of being labelled as a "Romance Author".

This is not a standard romance, even though it does have romantic relationships in the novel. Its main focus is the three women, and is a story about building relationships on truth. It is a thought-provoking read whether or not you have difficult family relationships, and an inspiration to think about whether you are stopping yourself from feeling emotions and living life to the full.

I did not fall in love with one particular character, perhaps because all three women were given equal space, but I enjoyed the different characters and the interplay between them. And I loved it enough to read in one sitting!
