Satans and Shaitans is an intriguing novel, a harrowing story of terrorism and the misguided intentions behind the atrocious acts. A missing daughter, a forbidden romance and a lot of tension.

The narrative is well-paced and, though I did find myself losing interest briefly during some parts, on the whole this is a compelling read and the way that tragic, brutal events are detailed in such a blunt, unemotional manner truly deliver the shock factor.

For me personally, this was out of my comfort zone and the context definitely not something that I am well educated on so I think this went over my head a little in parts, but the writing is fantastic and I am glad to have had the chance to give it a go!
