This is the final book of the trilogy so it seems quite fitting that it follows the attempt to reconnect the couple who were separated at the start of the series. (It's not necessary to have read the books in order, incidentally, or even to have read them at all to know what is going on.) I remain confused by why the brothers chose to do that to their sister in a time when a jilting would basically ruin her but, whatever, they did it and this book follows an attempt to put it right.

Half of the book is slow burn longing looks and denying feelings, and the other half is raunchy romp, which is about par for the course with this series. It's a historical romance that definitely focuses more on the romance than the history, but it's an enjoyable read nonetheless.

A Rogue’s Rules for Seduction is the third novel in the Last Chance Scoundrels series. This is a second chance at love novel. Set on a deserted Scottish island in a house party castle Willa and Dom meet for the first time, a year, after he abandoned her at the altar on their wedding day. Obviously she is not pleased to see him again as she is still distraught and humiliated! Now they have nowhere to hide and surrounded by her brothers, their wives and their friends must address the issues that caused the wedding to not go ahead.
Dom is handsome and rich and had only ever loved one woman - Willa. Due to his past he feels unworthy of her love and so he jilted her at the altar. This may seem slightly extreme to the reader but for them to get their HEA he will have to face up to his past and tell Willa what he has done. Willa is conflicted about giving Fom her heart and trusting him again after their disastrous wedding day.

Slowly The characters go from hating each other to being friends and finally a very steamy reunion, much more explicit than most historical romances!

I enjoyed this book, I enjoyed reading about the setting, the design the castle and the island.the humorous interludes between the main characters and the secondary characters. There is also a more serious side to the novel when Don has to address his past. I would recommend reading this novel on a cold wintry night as it seems more of a winter time romantic read!

Willa and Dom have a past, they broke up badly and haven't seen each other since. They have a linked group of friends/family and now find themselves thrust together on a deserted island for an event. Willa and Dom are in a world hurt, Willa after being jilted at the alter, Dom by causing her so much pain and leaving her as he did. Now there isn't anywhere to run and both are confronted with the fact that underneath the anger (her) and shame (him) they both still are very attracted to each other and have unresolved feelings.

I am a bit conflicted, I really liked the writing and scene setting but some things I liked and thought worked well and somethings really ripped my knitting. Willa absolutely reacted how one would expect after being left at the alter. I struggled with her brothers and her response to them in everything, I would absolutely have done my nut! Her anger/humiliation I think anyone can empathise with but Leigh gives us a bit more of Dom and despite the terrible thing he done he seems like a genuinely nice guy, if you can get past leaving the love of your life at the alter. The build up, scenes, interactions, I think Mills and Boon have certainly branched out over the years and this book gives a bit more bite with the story.

As with the other books, not for the easily offended, there is sex scenes, smut, dirty talk and the C word, I have to admit I cringed a wee bit at some of their scenes/smut dialogue but I know others will love it, 3/5.

A Rogue's Rules for Seduction by Eva Leigh

A Rogue's Rules for Seduction is the third book in the Last Chance Scoundrels series. I haven't read the first two in the series but it doesn't matter because this one can easily be read as a standalone one.

This is a fabulous second chance at love story and I adored Dom, the main male character. Despite being wealthy and having women fawn over him, he has only ever loved one woman, and believing he wasn't good enough for her, he jilted her at the altar. That woman was Willa, another excellent character who truly believes in once bitten, twice shy.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading how they dealt with each other when they were forced to spend time together 1 year later, and I love that it was Willa's brothers, and their wives, all of whom are friends of Dom, that sneakily made it all possible.

The setting of a house party on an island was a great idea, and I had many a laugh at the games all the guests played, and the performance they put on. As well as the fun of the party, there were of course many serious moments, mostly between Dom and Willa. Hate turned to like which turned to love, which turned to very very steamy moments! If you like a sweet romance then I don't recommend the last third of this book! It's scorching. Of course, realising that they lust and love each other, doesn't mean that they can have a future. Dom still believes his past will make Willa loathe him if she finds out, and Willa is still insecure about giving her all to Dom and having him hurt her again. What do they decide to do? I loved the ending, but will you? You will have to read it to find out. If you don't mind a steamy read then you will hopefully love this book as much as I did!

It was really lovely to see this series wrap up so nicely - Dom and Willa's relationship, or lack thereof, has been simmering in the background of the whole rest of the series, and it's fun to see things come to fruition here. I did feel, as I mentioned with book two, that this series isn't the most original of Eva Leigh's work, and at times it felt a bit similar to scenes or character development I'd read from her before, but that doesn't detract from the fact that looking at this alone, it's a satisfying and enjoyable romance.

3.5⭐️A delicious snark of an enemies to lovers regency romance that brings the trilogy full circle, this was a slow burn that was worth the build up for the eventual smut (plus a bit of regency kink!)

This had a lot of hilarious hijinks and the badminton competition that included a lewd song has to be my favourite scene as it worked to show Willa’s competitive nature that’s been hinted at throughout the trilogy as well as to highlight why Willa and Dom are actually perfect for each other. (Have to give an honorary mention to Willa finding out Celeste’s role play name as this was also great!)

I believe the past relationship between Dom and Willa could have had a better impact if, instead of flashbacks that we got throughout the book, we had a few chapters in the beginning detailing their courtship and who they were before/how they saw each other, then fast forwarded to the story as it was told now, after a year of being jilted at the altar. This would have helped to give a better foundation for their dynamics and given a prelude to some aspects that seemed a little out of nowhere such as their kinks as we don’t really have any prior nod to this beyond them flouting the society norms in a social setting. It also would have been nice to have seen a glimpse into the brother’s lives before they got married but it was nice seeing them as their married selves in this book.

Although I enjoyed this book and i’m happy the trilogy ended how it did, the conflict resolution seemed a little bit too neat and easy as nothing about the situation and the moral implication it would have on Willa had actually changed, Dom just seemed to change his mind on how he felt about this.

This was such a wonderful read.
Normally I'm not big on second chance romances but this one was so entertaining. The forced proximity at the house party really have the some great tension between the main characters. The games they played were so much fun.
As always I enjoyed seeing the characters from the the previous books in the series again.

Leigh is a natural at creating swoon worthy hero's. Full of complex characters and great pacing this was a romance full of everything you could ever want

A new author for me, and an enjoyable introduction to Eva Leigh’s writing. Although this is the third book in a series, it reads ok as a stand-alone and I didn’t feel I was missing anything having not read the previous books. The characters were interesting and the story was well written, keeping me intrigued as to what would happen next,

Second Chance Romance. Forced Proxemity. Stuck on an Island. Period Romance.

I mean need I say more? No but I shall.

This is my second time reading this author and the third book in this series and it certainly didn't disappoint! Though it is part of a series it can absolutely be read on its own.

Dom is a beast of a man, huffing and growling as he navigates through his new gentlemanly life. That is except when he is with Willa, then he's a big old softie, well except for the spice.

Willa was a QUEEN. She was feisty and a tornado of energy. She didn't make it easy on Dom when they were thrown back together by their meddling friends, and I loved that. Make him work for it girl.

I do think perhaps the spice was a bit out there for the time this is set but I mean go Willa! You'll understand when you read it.

Fans of Bridgerton or Period romance need to check this one out!

The third book in the Last Chance Scoundrels series takes place on a remote island and features Dom and Willa, who failed to marry the first time, leaving Willa devastated and humiliated and Dom guilty and out of options. I have read the first book in the series but not the second, so I can confirm this is readable as a standalone story. It's a slow-burn second-chance story that sees Willa and Dom gradually rekindle their romance, this time with emotional commitment and the ever-present passion. The dialogue is good, and the characters are likeable, increasingly so as the story progresses. It's intense and passionate. I like the story's drama, sensual romance and remote setting.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

3.5 stars
Although this was an enjoyable read there were times when I just wished they would sit down and talk things through, not keeping back any secrets but explaining clearly how they felt. Dominic had jilted Willa at the altar and now they meet up on an island a year later, along with family and friends. The family tries to manoeuvre them to talk together but will they use it wisely. They both still love each other but will they be able to move on from the past. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I would give this book 3.5 stars. I have really been enjoying second chance romances recently. I would say this is a second chance/enemies to lovers Romance.

Dom and Willa were really interesting characters and I liked them both. However, I felt very bad for Willa at times as I felt like her betrayal and hurt was just looked over and not acknowledged.

I loved the tension in the first half of the book or so! I feel that the story was hard to get into at times so it took me a while to read it, and I would say it has characteristics of a slow burn romance.

Overall, an enjoyable read and it was written well. I just think some of the story was dragged out and other parts of it was rushed through.

After Dominic Kilburn left Lady Willa Ransome at the altar she vowed never to reveal how badly she was hurt. Determined to move on with her life she accepts an invitation to a friend’s house party on an isolated Scottish isle. The perfect escape, until she comes face to face with the man responsible for her humiliation. When dark secrets from his past surfaced right before his wedding, leaving Willa was Dom’s only option. To escape the memories of all he lost, Dom heads to a friend’s Scottish estate. Yet one of the other guests is the very woman who haunts his every thought. Thrown together Willa and Dom try to resist their attraction, but soon the line between love and loathing begins to blur.
The third book in the series & my favourite of the series. Second chance, enemies to lovers with forced proximity are my favourite tropes & the author nailed it. The chemistry sizzled but Dom & Willa spent a lot of time together so really got to know each other so it was a slow burn romance too. I came to this book not liking Dom as he'd jilted Willa but gradually my opinion changed & as his back story was revealed I grew to love him. I loved Willa. A well written romance which I devoured & finished it well into the night
My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

An enjoyable enemies to lovers/ second chance romance where Dom has to grovel a lot for hurting Willa. This makes for a heated and tumultuous romance filled with longing and lots of chemistry, the setting was wonderful and scenic and helped them work through their feelings and helped them to really get to know each other as they were stuck in proximity to each other. The only negative is that the tension and drama were dragged out for too long. making the pacing really slow in the middle and caused it to drag but then it was made up for in the second half when it really got going. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a beautiful historical romance novel by a talented author that will keep you engaged until the very end. The story follows Dom and Willa, who are given a second chance at love after a year of separation.
The author has skillfully crafted the story with several tropes that make it an exciting read. The isolated island, the single bed, and the steamy scenes are just some of the elements that contribute to the romance between the characters. The chemistry between Dom and Willa is undeniable, and the intimate scenes are beautifully written.
One year ago, Dom left Willa when his past caught up with him. Willa was hurt by his betrayal, and they both tried to move on with their lives. However, fate brought them together again, and they realized that their story was not over. The characters' emotions are realistically portrayed, and their struggles to trust each other again are heartfelt.
The author has created memorable characters in Dom and Willa. Both are strong-willed, and they try to bury their feelings of lust and attraction towards each other. It is delightful to see their journey as they slowly learn to trust each other again and take a chance on their future. The story's message is clear, that love matters more than any inheritance or anything else in this world.
In conclusion, "A rogue’s rule for seduction " is an excellent read for anyone who loves a good historical romance novel. The author has skillfully created a story with great characters and lots of steam, making it a perfect read for fans of the genre. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a captivating read that will keep them entertained until the very end

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy through NetGalley

Dom jilted Willa nearly a year ago, but since then, the two have not seen or spoken to one another. But when Willa's brothers set the two up and they find themselves trapped on an island, this may be just what the two need to rekindle their love.

I loved Dom and Willa's story! A narrative of second-chance romance and characters who need to address their past, to find acceptance in each other.

Leigh writes a novel which will capture any romance genre fan this is part of a series and I highly recommend reading it; as you will not be disappointed. This novel can be read as a stand-alone but the characters from previous novels are mentioned and play an important part in the novel; I loved this and it's great just to read the progression in their romances also.

This is a second-chance romance between Dom and Willa. When Dom left Willa at the altar she was extremely hurt but she didn't want anyone to know how much pain she was in. When she accepts an invitation to a house party she doesn't expect to run into Dom again.

I usually love second-chance romances so I was very excited to read this one but unfortunately, I didn't end up loving this as much as I thought I would. It took me awhile to get into this one and I didn't feel a connection to the characters and their romance. I enjoyed the second half more. I will say I really enjoyed the spice in this one. I am not sure whether it was just not the right time for me to read this book so I might give the audiobook a try when it is released as I might enjoy it more.

Overall I didn't love this one but it was still an enjoyable read.

I wanted to like this book, I really did. I love a good second chance romance but this didn't hit the mark. I couldn't get over the betrayal of Willa's brothers. Domestic jilted her and publicly humiliated her and they remain friends with Dom and have the gall to orchestrate their reconciliation? Nope! I wasn't having it. And even when both Willa and Dom came to the realisation they were using each other to prove something to society, I never really got over my ick with Dom and Willa's brothers. Dom calling Willa "princess" only exacerbated the ick as well. I can barely tolerate it in contemporary romance let alone historical. Overall, an okay read but not one of Eva Leigh's best.

The slow burn romance with the spice of books you expect from a mills and boon novel.
I did enjoy the characters moodiness and I found myself drawn in so much to the story that It was a fast read for me.
