Inspector Al Crow is recovering from being shot in the brain when his daughter is jailed for murder.
While he is not officially at work, he and his son in law, John Larson, investigate the case.
The clues lead to many suspects.

I enjoyed this novel, the police and investigative work was detailed and it flowed well.

The first of another series I would read.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

The book does not appear on Goodreads yet, and I do not currently qualify to post reviews on Amazon due to a lack of 'points'. I will post a Goodreads review when the book appears on there.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, it was fast paced, twisty and I did not guess who the perpetrator was. I liked seeing the relationship between Crow and his son-in-law unfold although I did get a bit annoyed by Crow's constant use of the word 'son' and the changing of the name of the character Christine/Chrissie/Chris throughout the book. I would have also liked a bit more 'voice' from the perpetrator when they were revealed, however despite these wee niggles I'd happily read the next in the series when released.
