I was intrigued by the premise, but found the actual story a bit disappointing. There are several story gaps between chapters that could have been interesting opportunities for the main characters to participate in the action, but instead we get personal finance lessons. While the advice is good, I'm not sure it fits in with trying to outrun evil tapdancing clowns and rescuing kidnapped children.

Zoe and Jack’s lab experiment explodes and when it clears, they find themselves in a world where magic is real and so are the fairytale characters. The best part is there is no school. However Zoe and Jack want only to go back home to Los Angeles. When they discover children are being kidnapped by a clown for a game that combines virtual magic with reality. The children are turned into animal avatars. Zoe and Jack knows they need to help them but how? They know that by working together they will succeed.

The characters and their friendship had me smiling as I read this book. It is a fun book to read and watch the characters grow in wisdom and life skills. It’s a story that I wasn’t expecting but to my surprise ended up being a good read.

Abstract:
Ten Percent Magic is a fantasy tale the is based on the Disney replica IMAGINE, where the leads are involved in a magical game that me involves risk of getting killed.

Review:
The tale of Zoe and Jax surviving in the other Dimension "Imagine" that is the mirror image of Disney with a tad bit of difference.

Zoe and Jax have been ported to Imagine with a puff where the met Ella, Aly, Authur, and Robert (the Disney Characters).

In this magical realm Zie and Jax have to overcome the hurdles that are thrown their way in order to survive in Imagine, where dark magic is taking over the once magical world, in their quest of survival, they must return to their home (in imagine) before night, and they must save the avatars in order to return to their home.

But will the life be same back at home??

POV:
It was a bit tough for me to get into this story but i get there gradually. It's a good read with a pretty fast storyline where there's a change of event but every turning page, the fast pace was enjoyable at some points and was confusing at other. As the book ends on a cliffhanger then in my opinion the book would have been even better if the author's would have taken it slow.

Qotd: would i read the sequel (if there will be any??

Aotd: Yes i will to end my curiosity.

Incase it's a standalone book, i want my answers from the author's.

Overall it's a good and an enjoyable read if you're into mystery.

The concept sounds good and may work for the right person. Those that aren’t into video games or clowns, you won’t like it. The magical world and adventure with Jax and Zoe was interesting. Transported to a magical theme park to save the missing children from the Game Master and evil dancing clown.

Its an interesting fantasy read. Different weird characters appearing which you get confused if you're in real world or some kind of a theme park with some dancing clowns. The adventure of Jax and Zoe in the middle of conflicts between roles and how they can help the missing children. Overall the story is a basic fantasy read.

A big thanks to NetGalley and Amplify Publishing Group for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I honestly had no idea what this book was, when first starting. And honestly, after reading, I still can't quite tell you.

Ten Percent Magic by Gina Zapanta-Alder and Michael Alder is YA (though I think it's more geared towards Middle grade) fantasy novel that follows teens Zoe and Jax, as they are suddenly transported to a magical land far from their school science lab. And of course, all they want to do is get back home. But first they must deal with a tap-dancing clown whose been kidnapping children to force into a game where they're treading the line between real and virtual. And only Zoe and Jax can help them, apparently.

I don't know what more I can say about this book, save for it had an interesting concept. But I don't think the execution of it, was quite all there. And don't even get me started on that open door of an ending.

I really liked this fantasy story. The setting, the characters, and also the money and independence. It was a new kind of thing for my reading

Geared toward middle schoolers, this is a fun fantasy adventure that sneaks in lessons about money management and independence.

I recommend joining the adventure
