This was amazing! I find self-help books hit and miss, but this has become a new favourite. It was inspiring without the overbearing positivity. It had practical advice and reflections from the author. I’m excited to read the author’s other books. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher, for a chance to read and review this book.

I was eager to read this book after enjoying ‘Buy yourself the f*cking lillies’ a few years back. This book is a lot less self-help and more memoir than lillies I would say. I feel this book is the author trying to understand and working through her memories from childhood and sharing what she has learnt with readers in the process. I didn’t love it as much as the author’s first book and struggled to get into it if I am honest. Having said that, fans of the author and her funny and frank writing style I’m sure will enjoy reading this.

I enjoyed Tara Schuster previous book as much as this one. They are both an interesting mix of part self help and part memoir.
