Enjoyable Whodunit..
The fourth in The Edinburgh Murders series finds DI McCord seeking a direction following an odd warehouse discovery and needless to say it is not long before, sometime amateur sleuth, Amy Thornton is to cross his patch. Another enjoyable whodunit with a well developed cast of engaging characters and an entertaining and immersive plot in an atmospheric setting. Although part of a series this can happily be read as a standalone.

This is the first book I read by this author and won't surely be the last as I thoroughly enjoyed the solid mystery and the characters.
Want to read the other books in this series.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine

This is the first Trade Ailinger book I've read and I enjoyed it so much I want to go and read the other instalments referred to in the story. I liked the characters and how they interacted with each other. It was also a gripping storyline.

Shifting ice by Traude Ailinger.
The Edinburgh Murders Book 4.
Found bound and beaten in a warehouse, a convicted criminal leaves a cryptic message before he croaks on the way to hospital. What did he know that was worth killing for? DI McCord sets out on the icy streets of Edinburgh to look for a clue. Really enjoyed this book.
I liked Amy and Russell. Didn't like Struthers at all.
Twisty and gripping. 5*.

What it says on the tin - a light hearted Scottish mystery. I like a good fiction police investigation, and I can say I really like the style of this one. It has all the good parts of the genre, along with a gentle humour based style and characters that you can have fun spending your time with. This may be the fourth in the series but I felt immediately at home with the story even though I haven’t read the others in the series. But having found this I hope to catch up with em soon. Thank you to the BookFolks and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.
