This book was so adorable, I loved everything about it, the illustrations were so well done, they suited the book perfectly, the story was amazing as well, even thought is very short I could really connect with the characters. I’m sure the kids are going to be just as enthralled with this amazing book as I was. I will definitely recommend! Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this early copy

Brother John answers questions for children. This is an easy read, undemanding and children shouldn't have a problem following it. Would be nice to see actual Biblical back up for the answers and Brother John himself is a somewhat anonymous figure. Worth a read.

True Treasures is a delightful picture book that describes how an older man, Brother John, answers the questions that the children around him ask.

The story draws on biblical values and Brother John's answers beautifully illustrate the wonders of God's creations - His everyday miracles from flowers and birdsong to the rainbow.

This is a good book for Christian children, and the illustrations are very nicely done. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

True Treasures is a beautifully illustrated book with sweet thoughts and messages. I appreciated the diversity of the children, as well as the cherished relationship between them and a non-familial person. I have deep respect for the author, as well - my husband grew up with McGee and Me stories, and we share them with our children now.

That being said, I had issues with the book. The blurb read Brother John's answers were biblical, but there were no Bible verses referenced. I think adding a reference to the answer would be very beneficial, especially for readers unfamiliar with Scripture. Another issue - who is Brother John to these children? Just a touch of elaboration would have been very beneficial.

I don't like leaving reviews for books I can't rate highly, so I apologize. The illustrations are truly the best thing about this book, and I will be looking for more of the illustrator's work.

What a sweet story.

A little too short for me however I can see how and why kids would love it. A beautiful colorful pictures book that illustrates some of the most important beliefs of Christianity in a simply way easy to grasp by children of all ages.

This was so beautiful and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy book captirin christianity. While I didn't love the illustrations of the characters the world around them was drawn beautifuly.

This lovely picture book gives a very empowering life lesson. It follows a conversation between brother John and a few children. Brother John teaches the children about the treasures on our planet.
The book encourages children to value life and every in it. It teaches how we should treasure our planet as a home, and love every little thing.
I rate this Christian book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to all parents who want to teach their children the value of faith and love. The book has lovely illustrations and is easy to read.
